Soul Surf gave us the most amazing experience for our first time surfing. All the instructors were so incredible and helpful. They all really cared about our progress and made sure to find the best beaches with the best conditions for the day. If you wanna learn how to surf when you are in Byron Bay, definitely choose Soul Surf!

Fantastic half day surf! No experience and managed to learn how to catch some waves by the end of it all. 🙂 The team there were extremely friendly and helpful and gave proper feedback. Beach recommendation was great as well.

I was really impressed by how professional an operation they had. We would load up on a bus and the instructor for the day would choose our location based off of conditions, which really allowed them to find a break that matched our group dynamics. The boards they offered were in good condition and they brought out 3 instructors on my 2nd day to ensure we had a low participant to instructor ratio. I did a 2-day lesson and saw a huge improvement to Day 2, so I would highly encourage that as a minimum. Johnny and Clem brought out super awesome vibes and I was lucky to have them on each day. Overall: really great experience and excited to continue practicing going forward!

My friend and I booked a three day course which we extended to four days as we enjoyed it so much. We both had very little experience surfing and Matty and Johnny taught us the basics so well and then challenged us to improve more and more...we even got out on some green waves! Really fun and friendly vibes with the different groups each day as well. Thanks for such a fun and productive week :)

Great experience surfing down at the Pass today during my private surfing lesson. Was able to learn heaps thanks to great coaching from Clem! Would recommend for anyone looking to learn and have a fun time!

Epic team of instructors - joined the 3 days of lessons as an intermediate surfer and they did really well to cater to returners/experienced surfers and beginners too. Took in so much information and learnt so much in 3 days time and felt my surfing improved an unprecedented amount. Highly recommend as

We had a lovely instructor from Holland for our first time surfing! Her instructions were very clear with helpful visual aids, and she gave extremely useful tips and constructive feedback whilst surfing. She was very attentive and we were able to have a lot of fun!

Had an excellent time! My friend and I had not really surfed before and the instructors were excellent! Made it fun and relaxed but by the end we had grown in confidence and didn’t stop laughing the whole time! Thank you Levi and Riva!

We were a group of 4 people. We took the half day lesson. The crew was amazing and very attentive to us. It was our second lesson of surf and we were able to take the waves more easily. Also thanks to Lisa who took amazing pictures of us. She did a very good job .Before the lesson, we prepaid for the photographer and we didn’t regret. I recommend the lesson and also taking the photographer for your lesson.🤙🏼
