Excellent skipper with 25 years experience made us feel very safe and was hugely knowledgeable regarding the whales.

Information on line and the video prior to leaving their office meant there were no surprises as to how the tour was going to run and what was required of us.

After a bit of a slow start we were lucky enough to see many adult whales including a group of 4 who came near to our vessel of their own accord.

Only feedback I can give is that the van used to transport us to the beach had a broken door and appeared to be in poor repair.

What a fabulous trip. We were treated to incredible sightings of dolphins and them whales. Our crew spotted , them followed a group of whales that entertained us totally for well over an hour . We kept pace with them and loved seeing them come out of the water close to our boat. Amazing experience. The crew really wanted us to gat to see the whales. They were brilliant and knowledgeable.

The crew at Byron Bay Dive Centre know what they're doing! I originally scheduled a tour for 28/06, but the weather was crappy. The shop sent a text to update me and provide me with the option to reschedule or refund. They made rescheduling easy and I went on tour the next day. My partner and I were not disappointed! We saw nearly 50 breaches, fin waves, and tail slapping. The cherry on top was our punny as hell skipper with, my personal favorite, "he's a son of breacher man that one!"

We may have gotten lucky with the whales, but service like that is a real treat. The crew was knowledgable, easy going, and fun. If I was in town longer I would have definitely booked a snorkeling tour. Don't miss whale watching with this team!

Also, do yourself a favor and leave your phones behind. The skipper will take WAY better photos than your iPhone and you can fully enjoy the experience. All the pictures they take are only A$29.95 (USD$20). Trust me, it's worth it.

Friends
The level of communication leading up to our cruise was top notch, the staff are genuine in wanting a feel good experience for all. On the day they went that little bit extra to make sure we had every opportunity to experience these wonderfully majestic creatures...and we did!
A great team and effort, highly recommended to all!

A professional operation from explaining and showing videos of the tour and what to expect, to the immediate sighting of our 1st mother and calf and sighting of multiple pods. We witnessed whales diving, breaching, slapping tails and fins - the whole gamut!
Congratulations to Dylan, he did a great job.

Really pissed off with the lack of contact service with this company.
They had my phone # and could have called & left a message or texted me but they didn't.
My booking was for a 1pm Whale Watching tour and they changed it and said I could do 10.30am instead and booked me for same day when I wanted the next day as wasn't in the area.
Now they are fully booked and I can go.
Wonder if they will give me a refund cause I've already paid? I'm not holding my breath.
If they don't I will write a really bad report on FB and Instagram and boost it so everyone can see it. These guys are really unprofessional not impressed at all.

Our trip started very slow and we were 5 minutes away from being offered a voucher to come again because there just wasn't any whales to be found. Our guide spotted a couple out further to sea and took us out there and the whales put on a spectacular show for us all. Our guide kept us out longer than the 2.5 hours I think because we all waited so patiently. He definitely went over and above to make our whale watching experience something we will never forget.

The only thing I would suggest to the operator is that perhaps there be a rule on board the boat that if the whales are on the right side of the boat then the people on the right side should remain seated so the people on the left can stand up to see and vice versa if the whales are on the left.

The majority of the viewing on our tour was on the right side and we were on the left, the people sitting on the right side stood up pretty much the whole time which really impacted our viewing and ability to take photos which I thought was a little selfish on their part.

We would definitely recommend this operator

A dream was to see a whale up close and personal! Well, yesterday, I ticked this off my list of things to do... not only did we see one whale... we saw upto six whales and some with calves. We were lucky enough to see a breach, and we had two whales that we followed down the coast for over an hour. They were as curious about us, as we were of them and they came right upto us to check us out... FANTASTIC. The highlight of the trip was having our guides put a microphone into the water so we could hear them talking and communicating to each other... those sounds were beautiful hear while watching them swim around us... MAGIC!
