About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- BrianB8110 contributionsLeeds Castle, Canterbury, DoverThis was a great experience, both the castle and the cathedral were well worth our time. I learned more at Leeds Castle only because it was a country home of English Kings and Queens. The Clifts of Dover were a good experience, just wish the day was a little clearer. Note this was done via Viking Cruises.Written November 8, 2024
- krisn8570 contributionsA very full day with an enthusiastic driver! This was a one-day trip that could easily have taken two, but unfortunately, one is all we had. That was not a problem for our driver Kamal, who got us to every point on the tour while somehow also keeping track of us while he waited for us to enjoy each spot. He always seemed to appear just as we needed him to take us along to the next fabulous location. I know that he did not expect us to take as long as we did at Windsor castle, but he actually seemed pleased that we took our time, and still, he managed to give us ample time at all the other destinations, finishing after dark at a street fair in Oxford. It was a long and wonderful day!Written October 23, 2024
- Vanessa H0 contributionsTry to see a match of real tennis.the maze is so disappointing!!!! it is so thin and bare. you known what direction to go on in advance. But the house itself It's worth every penny. buy a decent map or you miss things. Allow plenty of time, its certainly not a whistle stop tour.Written August 14, 2024
- laurieg5660 contributionsEnjoyed Windsor tourThis was perfect because we were able to choose our time. We had a bike tour in the morning and the driver picked the 6 of us up right when the bike tour ended at the place it had rented. So we jumped in the car that was very clean and comfortable. Our driver was nice and tad quiet. The only thing to mention is that this private tour means more of the driving part is exclusive to your needs. There is no tour guide once you drive to the castle… which I thought was included but it is not. But that’s ok. They had headphones which were great! It took us about an hour and 15 minutes to get there from London. And we spent two hours in the castle and then home. We really enjoyed it. Not sure how much it would cost to get an Uber there and back along with tickets… might be a little cheaper…. But overall we were very pleased with this tour to have the driver get us at our own time.Written July 10, 2024
- Xstitch Q0 contributionsNot an actual guided tourAlthough this tour implies it’s a tour (describes Oxford as a walking tour), in fact all it was was a private driver (who was great), but no description of the places we were going to and no walking tour of Oxford so we were left to explore Oxford on our own.Written June 3, 2024
- 118marlysb0 contributionsBait and switchWe wastes hours at portobello road because nothing was open. I’d like my money back because we should have been told that before we spent the money and wasted time. The guide was great and took us to places that we were interested in.Written July 19, 2023
- Meander100811446010 contributionsWould recommend for teenage plus visitors.Great volunteer guide with tour well pitched to attendees. The tour gave access to areas not otherwise accessible.good coverage of the history.Written August 30, 2022
- ellenmU7200OC0 contributionsPrivate Driver, NOT Private Tour1. Driver was late to pick us up by 8minutes with no apology 2. He was rude, combative, and raised his voice several times to talk over us. Not flexible or accommodating when we first met him. Horrible initial experience/demeanor. 3. There were dirty/used waters in the back seat which he cleaned while we were there, not before. 4. He parked far away for all experiences so we had to walk and find him. Not a true private driver or ideal experience. This wasted time and should have been door to door. 5. Knew nothing about the area and offered no guidance. This was not a “private tour” but a private driver. When asked, “what church is that?” His response was “every town has a church, it’s not a famous one.”Written July 16, 2022
- Art Is P0 contributionsBoringThe Baths are no doubt a great archaeological find but I feel £25 entry fee is too high an admission fee. There are also about 8 million attendants standing around, what do they think we're gonna do? Steal some masonry?Written July 22, 2021
- JasmineBassi0 contributionsWaste of time and moneyI went to Cutty Sark for a touristy day out as it has a very prime location in Greenwich. The interior is lovely but the prices are way off! Even though the history is important, it dragged on for long and became disinterested very quickly. The only good bit is when you reach the top of the ship which overlooks The Thames and the rest of Greenwich but wasn't worth all that money I spent on my family and myself. Wouldn't recommend for families for a fun day out, go to Greenwich market and park instead!Written March 30, 2020
- RamonAnd2kids0 contributionsTerrible tour. Waste of money. Run away from this tour! Our driver Mr. Shuhed started by saying he knew nothing of Harry Potter and needed our help. He wasn’t kidding. We never received an itinerary. I had to ask where we were, where we were going, and how the location was connected to HP. I got little to no information. We were driven to 4 or 5 locations. The driver had no idea where we were (except for wobbly bridge) or what movie the location was connected to. He didn’t know the characters of the movies. He said he read about HP the night before on the Internet. Paid for 4 hours. Tour lasted less than 2. Rest of the time we drove in circles. 2 of the locations were closed and inaccessible. I reached out to tour operator 3 days ago to request a partial refund and was completely ignored. I would never recommend this tour or guide. My kids were so sad and disappointed with this terrible experience. We weren’t even offered water! Huge WASTE of time and money.Written December 28, 2019
