    Fun and informative!
We really enjoyed our tour! Very informative. It introduced us to parts of the City we wouldn’t have seen otherwise, and learning about the City and its history was fun! Great way to start our visit to Portland.

    Terrific tour
What a super afternoon tour. Peter was so knowledgeable, pointing out features you’d never notice passing by, and providing fascinating insights into the history, ecology and geology of the area. Packed in a lot, but the pace felt relaxed. The 60 mile panorama of the Columbia river viewed from Vista Point was incredible.

    Waterfalling tour
Peter was so generous with his information about the area which we totally appreciated. The tour was beautiful, hitting all the falls and the viewpoint on top. Comfy van and a perfect half day.

    Portlandia, Roses and Inside Info
This was my first trip to Portland, so my friend booked us on the City Tour. We had a blast. Our guide, John, was energetic, informed, and friendly and we got an excellent overview of the city (including one neighborhood I'm considering moving to). Loved the background on Pioneer Square, and so glad we visited the Rose Garden despite it not being peak season. John had some super tips on where to eat later...not to mention we found about the Spanish Coffee at Huber's! Highly recommend this tour.

    Five plus stars
Wow, Peter was the best ever tour guide for this eight hour fantastic trip to Haystack Rock, Canon Beach, Tillamook, and so many great sights in between these amazing icons. He has a great command of facts, figures, history along with high energy and a terrific dialog... just amazing. We like to have professional tours during our trips and this was absolutely one of the best.

    Amazing experience with breathtaking views
Wow! What an experience! Peter was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. We learned so much about the Oregon’s history and natural beauty. Driving through the forests and along the coast was such a cool experience and we really felt like we got more out of it than if we’d driven it just ourselves. Peter gave us great recommendations for lunch and shopping in Cannon Beach. It was windy and rainy down on the beach but that just made it even more of a true PNW experience! As an extra treat, we had time to swing by the Tillamook creamery on the way back to Portland. We had such a great day and would highly recommend this tour!

My Most Memorable Tour to Date
Pete was an absolute gem of a tour guide. His knowledge about the city of Portland and the falls was top-notch. As a nature lover, I try to visit beautiful places wherever I go and this tour provided that. We visited more waterfalls than I'd expected and the scenery there and driving up the mountain was impeccable. I can't recommend the Columbia River enough.

    Beautiful Day at the waterfalls
This was a wonderful tour and Jim was really great. Jim knew the area and was full of knowledge. He made it fun and entertaining. He took us to beautiful waterfalls and knew how to get us to the closest point to walk in. He told us a bit about Portland and made great restaurant recommendations. It was a fantastic day and fantastic tour.

Can not say enough wonderful things about our experience on the Portland city tour! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and professional. So glad we booked a private tour!
We booked a 4 hour private tour when our cruise boats excursion was full. What a treat to have Peter, our own private guide take us on a 4+hour tour to where we wanted, as long as we wanted, skip what we wanted, etc. What a tremendously knowledgable guide Peter was. Wow! Great voice, great knowledge, great stories, great flexibility. I would highly recommend.

We did 3 tours (This one plus the Wine Country and the Oregon Coast). All were amazing. Peter and Pete are so knowledgeable about Portland and Oregon and the history. These were some of the best tours my wife and I have ever taken. They are a must when you want to do day trips out of Portland. They do not rush you at all and make sure that you get to see everything that you want to see and do.

We had a wonderful tour of the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood. Our tour guide was the owner/guide, Peter, and he was terrific. Being a local resident he was able to give a lot of information and history of the places we passed and stopped at on the tour. We stopped at several waterfalls and the Vista House along the way to the Bonneville Dam/Locks and fish ladder area. From there we headed to the town of Hood River for a lunch break and then we proceeded up to the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. The lodge is a beautiful, old facility with wonderful displays of wood, iron and masonry craftsmanship. It was a full day of beautiful scenery and pleasant conversation.

An amazing experience! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and took us to some amazing places inbetween the ones we knew we were going to which was a lovely surprise! We learned a lot about local wildlife, Oregon history, rock formations, and all while seeing some beautiful places. The time spent wasn’t too rushed as well, the 8 hour trip is well spent and you’re given plenty of time to take everything in and snap a picture. Highly recommend this for those who have never been to Oregon and want to see some beautiful sights or just those who want a guided tour through Mt Hood and the Columbia River Gorge without having to drive yourself.

Peter was wonderful and provided us with a ton of information about the sights we were seeing, as well as the history of the area we were in. We had a full day of wonderful sight-seeing, and we were able to get amazing pictures of every place we stopped at. Peter was also super friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend this tour!

Worth taking a warm coat and even snowboots. I ddin't expect to be tramping in snow on my tour.
Pete was a great Guide and tour manager. Just enough chat and information to keep us occupied and personal anecdotes to keep us amused.
I had thought of driving it myself and so glad I decided to go with Pete instead.

Mt. Hood/Gorge Waterfall Loop from Portland was an all day fabulous trip! Stops along the way seeing the falls, etc. was very interesting. Peter was our guide and he was excellent. He’s very knowledgeable about the entire area we covered. We never felt rushed. My husband and I both loved this trip, along with others we have done with Oregon Tour Company and highly recommend them. Great timely service and very friendly.

My fiancé and I had a blast on the Mt. Hood/Gorge Waterfall Loop tour with Peter. We had a private booking which was really special and Peter absolutely exceeded our expectations. He didn't just point out sights as we went, we got fun facts about the history, science, policies, and just about every other subject you can think of as it pertained to the tour. He took photos for us, identified all the plants we walked by, and was overall so friendly and wonderful. His love for his home was absolutely contagious and made him the perfect guide.

Along our tour, we actually ran into not one, but TWO complete road closures due to accidents that caused us to change route (in two different states no less - luck was not on our side that day). Peter handled this like a breeze (even though it was a first for him too). We had a phenomenal tour and now we have a great story to tell too.

My husband and I enjoyed the Mt. Hood Loop Tour with Pete. He was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the history and interesting facts about the area. Aside from the usual tourist attractions, Pete stopped in places that only locals would know which made the trip unique and fun. The fruit orchard where we purchased several varieties of apples, peaches and plums was terrific. Lunch at Bette's in Hood River was very tasty. We had a full day of touring and very content that Pete did the driving and directing. This was the first of three tours with the Oregon Tour Co. The other two were Oregon Wine Country and the Oregon Coast tours. It made the vacation enjoyable without the headaches of planning.

We went to the Columbia Gorge area, stopping at several waterfalls and points of interest, then headed to Hood River for lunch and ice cream! Then we continued on to Mt Hood and Timberline Lodge. What an amazing day! Pete was very nice and knowledgeable on the area and so much more about Oregon. We truly enjoyed our time together and would highly recommend Pete or his son for a tour!

A fabulous day out which delivered far more than any of us expected. Peter ,junior, was our guide for the day and his knowledge of every aspect of the day, and more, was remarkable and added to our enjoyment and allowed us to understand Portland's history.
I would highly recommend this tour and can guarantee it will be the highlight of your holiday.
