Took my kiddos on the 2 hr Segway tour today. None of my kids (a teen and young adults) that went today had been on a tour before and they all loved it. I've been on a handful of tours through the years and always love riding the segways. Each time I go it is a different experience because the different guides teach you different things about the city and take you on different routes, so it never gets old for me. Today we had Evangel and she was fantastic. She was personable, informative, funny and I loved the route she took us on. I highly recommend the tours whether you live here or you are visiting. It won't be my last one.
A few tips.
Be sure to go to the bathroom before you come on the tour
You will be wearing a helmet so be prepared for that
Some segways have a little backpack on them if you need to put stuff in
You may want sunglasses if it's sunny out or might be
Wear comfortable shoes - you will be using muscles in your feet that you don't typically use
Be prepared to want to do it again!

We took a Segway tour of Portland because it's fun, you can cover a lot of ground, and we both love to learn! Kurt was our knowledgeable guide for the morning of September 23, 2021. We lucked out because we were the only two who signed up for the 10:00 a.m. tour and we thoroughly enjoyed Kurt's outgoing and fun personality. He quickly helped us become comfortable on our Segways. Kurt's lived in Portland for many years and shared anecdotes, fun facts, and the history of Portland while showing and explaining the significance of several beautiful fountains, old buildings, Portlandia, the University, and the water front. He also answered our questions about the various outlying neighborhoods and why Portland has such a large homeless population. We enjoyed a great tour!

Our tour with Evangel was awesome! My sister had never rode a segway before and it had been a while for me so she showed us the normal safety things and let us have some fun spinning around the park. It was only us on the tour which I was bummed about at first but then once we got started, it was like our own personal tour of Portland. Evangel showed us so many cool things. The Portland farmer's market was in full swing so cruising through the people, smell of coffee and flowers, and seeing the city was awesome! We had a great time and would definitely recommend this as the best way to see the city and get around. Thanks, Evangel and best of luck on your next adventure :)

My favorite part of this trip was our guide. She was fantastic when handling a situation with a nervous rider as well as a rider adjusting to new glasses. She told of the fantastic history of the area combined with her personal experiences.

This is a great tour to see historic areas of downtown Portland. Traveling over the bridges and along the walkways of the Willamette river is especially fun. It’s a great way to experience the local culture as you move through the farmers market at PSU, pass the north and South Park areas and check out other local landmarks. Our tour guide, Jered, did a great job training us how to ride a Segway and watching out for the group as we toured the city.

We did not want the tour the end. We had such a blast from beginning to end. Our guide, Jered, was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us about the history of the city. We did the tour on a Saturday morning and the city was so alive with musicians, cultural events, and local markets. A must-do for anyone looking to see this eclectic city in a unique and exciting way!

Portland by Segway was super fun. We zoomed around on our segways (which were very easy to use) and learned about all the different buildings, bridges parks (and more) in the city. Captain Kurt was an awesome guide (go trailblazers! And team USA!) I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone to anyone looking to see the best and coolest parts of Portland.

Jared was great! This was our family’s first time on Segways, he does a great job coaching you through the steps and getting each person comfortable.
We loved touring downtown, going across the bridges and hearing all the fun facts and unique history of Portland. Highly recommend!!

I have been on a few Segway tours and this one was subpar compared to others. While the tour guide was very polite he did not really commentate much during the tour and when he did it was very hard to hear him. for the first part of the tour we traveled around downtown which parts were nice to see but there was really nothing notable. the second part was by the river and while it was fun to ride the Segway a little faster there wasn’t much to see either. You cannot take pictures while you are driving the segways and we only dismounted twice during the trip. Overall it was decent if you just want to see downtown without walking or driving however I would not do this tour again.

My sin and I had a blast. Kurt was really great and made the tour more tolerable as it was about 50 degrees out and freezing! I was very happy with the amount of time he took with us to show us how to use the segway. He was also very knowledgeable of the history of Portland. We had a great time and I would highly recommend the 2-hour tour with Kurt!
