- maryrV370NZ0 contributionsGreat experienceMarcus was full of facts and we all enjoyed his tidbits of info. He was very entertaining. We enjoyed it so much! Only complaint was not enough detailed info regarding pickup and what was included at the first winery. I recommend this tour! You won’t be disappointed.Written January 4, 2025
- GwhamJ2842GXdeborahb0 contributionsMust doAmazing hike. Trail of Ten Falls. So awesome that you could walk behind the falls. Easy hike, trail is well marked. I do wish though they would indicate how far the next falls are, yes we had a map, but it helps mindset when you know the distance, rather than attempting to use the map scale. Four of us went, two avid hikers, two not avid hikers. Very enjoyable. Would highly recommend.Written December 30, 2024
- ashl3y230 contributionsGood day trip optionNice day trip to get out of the city and visit wineries. A little expensive for what it is, but would still recommend for people that like wine and nature.Written December 21, 2024
- Jack M0 contributionsPrivate Waterfall TourAwesome tour! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history. Stopped at some beautiful locations for food and wine as well.Written October 16, 2024
- tjhazard0 contributionsGentle Hikes at a Variety of Interesting LocationsOur guide, Marcus, was super knowledgeable not only about the volcano but the local ecology and history as well. The tour featured a few hours of driving between points of interest around the mountain but Marcus made the drives between them almost as interesting as the sites themselves. The hikes at each of the stops were short (<1 hr) and easily traversed (board walks, stairs, handrails). We visited the Cold Water Interpretive Center, Ape Cave, Ape Canyon, and Twin Forests.Written October 6, 2024
- C4807FTchrisg0 contributionsMt Saint HelensThe views of Mount Saint Helens were good and the weather was perfect. The viewpoints that are closest to the crater were taken out by a landslide, which did limit the experience, but Marcus was a great host, gracious, knowledgeable, and friendly. Overall it was an outstanding experience.Written September 29, 2024

Brittany was a great driver / host for our wine tour. So personable and informative! It was a great day tasting wines from three wineries, which also included lunch. Very informative - learned lots from the winemakers. Didn't realize there was so much to learn about the Willamette Valley! Curiousity is peaked, research being done and pinot noirs are being consumed.

The tour was nice and the wineries that were chosen had delicious wine! The views were beautiful and our tour guide Cher was very knowledgeable! I just wish it had been more clear on the booking that the tasting fees were not included in the price! That caught us off guard.

Cher, our tour guide, narrated the trip with interesting tid bits on this excursion with friends. We visited three wineries, two with gorgeous views of the rolling hills and with knowledgeable sommeliers. For pinot lovers this is heaven. Lunch at the third spot was yummy. We had city views on the trip to and from Willamette Valley.

Chris was filling in for Marcus on our tour, and we had an amazing time! My parents were visiting Oregon from the East Coast for the first time, and I wanted them to see a different side of Oregon. Chris dazzled us with his impressive knowledge of the region, as well as the science and artistry involved in winemaking in the Willamette Valley. The drive was beautiful and we saw three wineries, each off the beaten track and each with their own unique personalities. The landscapes were breathtaking, and we became experts in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Lunch was from Elephants Delicatessen in Portland and really hit the spot - my boyfriend and I will definitely go there for ourselves sometime. It was a great way to relax, learn more about Willamette Valley, and spend time with family, all under the guidance of a friendly and approachable expert. A perfect way to convince my parents to move out West.

Me and my girl friends had a lovely ladies trip out to Oregon. The Terran wine tour was definitely the highlight of the trip! We sampled some amazing wineries and had a nice lunch with a view. Marcus was very knowledgeable about the area, the local industries, the vineyards, and the winemakers. (Get your Oregon trivia knowledge ready.)
The box lunch was perfect. It was well portioned, including chips and water (we also got cookies), and very tasty!
It was an eventful day with lifelong memories that we will cherish! I would recommend to go with Terran for this activity and any others they offer. When I come back to Oregon, I will seek out their services again!

Wonderful venue, great and courteous service and great food! We travel from Lebanon to eat there because the burgers are so good! We don't drink wine so I can't weigh in on the spirits.

This was THE perfect tour!! I am so thankful I found this tour through Terran Travels while searching in TripAdvisor! My friend and I booked this tour to do during a weekend in Portland for our 50th birthdays.
To start with, they were great with the communication. The night beforehand, I received a text from the owner, telling me what time I should meet the shuttle the next morning. Then, the next morning, we discovered there was going to be a marathon right outside our hotel, closing the street we were supposed to meet the shuttle on so when I texted the owner, we were able to figure out a street a block away to meet at. Our driver Dean showed up there and picked us up. Our tour only had 4 other people on it, so it was a nice, small size.
Dean was fabulous. He knew all about the history of the area and also told us a little about his history as well-- he's a fascinating person! His delivery of the tons of information he gave us as we drove was perfect- delivered in an interesting, engaging way. We first went to go see Multnomah Falls, which I'd never seen before. Just gorgeous! We had a little time to hit the tourist store, which was great. Then we went to the first winery, Marchesi Vineyards. Very nice outdoor spot with a fire pit. The second winery was Grateful Vineyards, where we discovered a fall festival going on. I could tell Dean had not been aware of this but he handled the hiccup well and still got us a table and told us lunch was paid for. We had a delicious pear pizza, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. After the Grateful Vineyards, we drove to this cool spot near Mount Hood, where you can get out and see the moraine rocks that had been left behind by shifting glaciers years ago. The last stop was the Timberline Lodge, a cool ski area/hotel with lots of neat history.
If you're researching winery tours in the Portland area, I highly recommend this group! It's much more reasonably priced than the other options out there and well worth more!

Driver took us around to 3 different wineries. Tasting fees were not included. Not much information provided on the ride. Fees are essentially for driving services.

We apologize for the lack of guiding by the guide. He was still in his trial period for our Willamette wine tour, and after getting 4 complaints about him from guests and tasting room staff within a week, he will be guiding this tour no more. Regarding tasting fees, it clearly states in our description that they are not included.

I am going to be in Portland in August, and am thinking about doing your tour.
1. What is the average price I can expect to add to the cost for tastings at each winery?
2. I am staying at relatives in Raleigh Hills. Do you pick up there, or would I need to meet you downtown at a hotel or other location?
Thank you,
Delores Kimmel
