Overview
Experience Portland’s rich culinary scene on this 3-hour downtown food walking tour, which allows you to sample local bites and beverages, learn about the city’s thriving food scene, and stroll through quintessential downtown districts. Avoid the hassle of research and navigation with the help of your knowledgeable guide, who leads you through Portland’s culinary hot spots while providing insight into the city’s history and food culture.
What to Expect
Your afternoon begins at Headwaters Restaurant, where you meet your guide and receive an overview of your 3-hour food walking tour.
Then set off on foot to sample food and beverages from six carefully chosen Portland vendors. Tastings fixed by James Beard Award winners and Top Chef contestants may include locally sourced seafood, regional wines and beers, desserts and pastries, seasonal farm-to-table bites, craft cocktails, and dishes from a local food hall.
Over the course of your walking tour, learn about the history of downtown Portland and see top city attractions. And the small group size—maximum of 12 people—ensures that you get personalized attention and in-depth info from your guide.
After you walk and eat your way through roughly 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) of downtown Portland, your tour ends at the famous Powell’s Bookstore in the Pearl District.

I think so! Our guide called us the day before the tour and asked about any dietary restrictions and allergies. We did have a lot of non-vegetarian food on our tour though.
