Small Group Columbia Gorge Waterfalls and Wine Tour from Portland

Experiences both Portland’s rugged outdoors and renowned wine scene on this 6-hour small-group tour. Visit the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area where you see waterfalls, admire the Cascade Mountain Range, and look out for Bald Eagles and Osprey. Then explore Hood River with its lush forests and stop at a variety of boutique wineries to sample locally produced wines including the much talked about Oregon Pinot Noirs. Leave the logistic and driving to your guide while you relax, taste fantastic wines, and learn about Oregon’s natural beauty.

What to Expect
After pickup from your downtown Portland hotel, relax on a scenic drive by luxury vehicle to Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Travel along the mighty Columbia River and be on the lookout for bald eagles and osprey, all while admiring the towering basalt cliffs formed from the river cutting through the Cascade Mountains.

When you arrive, your professional guide will take you to a few waterfalls. This area is home to the second-tallest perennial waterfall in the US, Multnomah Falls.

Spend some time hiking around these stunning natural wonders, and be sure to have your camera ready! Then, continue driving east, where wet forests of the coastal Pacific Northwest provide views of oaks, pines and other arid vegetation, creating prime growing conditions for grapes.

As you near the town of Hood River, embark on a tour of a few local wineries, each one unique and charming in its own way. At each winery, relax and sample some boutique wines found only in Oregon. The weather, views and wine make for an unparalleled vineyard experience.

In between wineries, your guide will tell you about the history of the land and the region’s culture, giving you an understanding of how this incredible landscape has shaped the wine in your glass.

Some of the wineries you may visit include Cathedral Ridge, Wy'East Vineyards, and others depending on the season. After your tour, relax on the drive back to your downtown Portland hotel.

The office staff was helpful and accommodating. The tour guide, Jordan, was very passionate about the area. The van was a Mercedes so I guess, by definition, it was a luxury van but if we had a full size tour group I'm not too sure...More

It's true that this tour aims to strike a balance between waterfalls and wine... Your comment led us to dig a little bit, and while our own website states specifically that we visit two wineries, I can see that the re-seller from which you purchased...More

Great day with waterfalls and wine!

Paul and Jules did a great job. Very knowledgeable and fun. 3 waterfalls and 2 nice wineries. The smoke from the wildfires reduced the visibility of the surrounding areas, but still very nice.

Tour lats 6 hours, maybe a little bit more depending on traffic. Not sure about pet friendly as our trip had no pets.
