- tuyphuongp0 contributionsN/ADaniel is our tour guy , awesome and helpful. We so enjoy even though only 4 hrs . Hopefully see him again . Everything is smooth, we have hot tea in cold and rain to make us warmer. Pick up on time. Thank you very much.Written March 14, 2025
- Linzey600 contributionsAmazing tour and knowledgeable guide! Our guide Mel was knowledgeable and personable. She had some great info and trivia about Portland the city as she drove us out to the Gorge and to see the many waterfalls on our tour. She was eager to show off the wonders of this gorgeous area. Highly recommend doing this tour, the pick up process was quick and easy. The van we traveled in was comfortable. Mel even offered water bottles and hot tea options to keep us warm on what ended up being a rainy afternoon.Written March 13, 2025
- trainfan560 contributionsGreat Guide and Tour. This tour is exactly as stated. Well worth the money ... we had about 8-9 people on the tour in a high-top van. GREAT local guide, and we stopped at many waterfalls and got up close and personal. We were able to approach most of the falls very up close and could get misty wet very easily. Absolutely gorgeous! Multinomah Falls was busy, but we only had a short walk to the overlooks. You can se why this is such a popular stop for tourists and cruise ship passengers. Our pick-up spot was right across the street from our Paramount Hotel. On time, and very convenient. We had a beautiful day and wonderful tour.Written March 12, 2025
- SarahJ8920 contributionsWaterfall wonderlandThis was a fantastic tour. 100% would recommend it to friends. Aaron was an amazing guide and kept us entertained and informed on the trip with super useful historical, cultural and ecological factoids. The sights are outstanding! - 835nesiab0 contributionsMust see when in PortlandOur tour guide Chuck was prompt and knowledgeable, he had water for us, he took photos for us, he was polite. He knew so much history about the city as well as the science behind the gorge. He was passionate about nature and it was a pleasure to have that experience with him.Written January 31, 2025
- leslienak0 contributionsStunning waterfalls and great Guide ChuckThe best part of the trip was our guide Chuck! His knowledge of the area really enhanced our whole experience. We went in January so there were no crowds. We were the only ones at each waterfall. Everywhere we went was so beautiful. I got some great photos! It was a great value.Written January 12, 2025
- G6122WAjustineb0 contributionsHighlight of my trip(Overdue Review) Made a last-minute decision to go on a solo trip to Portland. I've been to Portland before but have never made it out to see the falls. Figured a guided tour would be perfect. I stayed downtown, so the location of the pick up/drop off was convenient. Our group ended up being small. Just me, a mom and her son, and our tour guide, Aaron. From beginning to end, Aaron gave us non-stop information and you can tell he was very passionate about what he does and had lots of knowledge to share. I learned so much from this tour. Not just about the falls, but about the history of Portland, the different sights we would see on our drive, the many plants and foliage we passed on our hikes, and even tips about where to eat and other places to visit while in Portland. Aaron was very nice, patient, and his enthusiasm about everything was infectious. The van was comfortable, the drive was easy, and I finally got to see the falls which were beautiful. Really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it.Written January 8, 2025
- Carmen L0 contributionsPortland Oregan Multnomah FallsDominique was a great driver. Did a great job at explaining the tour. It was so nice to just laid-back and let someone else drive and enjoy the scenery a bit of a wet day, but I still loved it! After having a hot tea, my jaw and my stomach started hurting. Unfortunately, I had to walk away as soon as I got off the van. The speaker on the back of the van was a little too loud other than that everything was awesome!Written December 13, 2024
- Donald B0 contributionsGreat ExperienceDaniel was fantastic! So knowledgeable about the geographic wonders of the area and regional history. Plus, he had great information on the native plants and wildlife. He expertly drove to all the sights on winding mountain roads and through city traffic, saving us the trouble and making us feel very safe. Would definitely book again and recommend it to everyone!Written December 5, 2024
- BrendonP_19870 contributionsGreat fun!The weather was average the day we went but we had a great time. As it was a small group and we all agreed we got to a hike and see an extra waterfall. Informative guide and free water on the tour.Written November 24, 2024

- z-manr0 contributionsVery good views of the waterfalls along the Columbia River. The tour was enjoyable, and we stopped at all the vista points. Weather was mildly cold and cloudy, but no rain. Eric, the driver, narrated almost non-stop; with good info, he also oversold the beauty of the Portland area with all the waterfalls, and we're from the Bay Area having visited Yosemite, Iguazu Falls, etc.Written November 11, 2024

The tour was wonderful; we saw a number of sites in a single day, but the pacing rarely felt rushed. Our guide, Daniel, was filled with local knowledge, which he gladly shared, making the tour that much more interesting. The stop at the Draper Girl's Farm Stand was the only disappointment: a) that is the one time we felt a bit rushed; b) the clerk there treated us as if we were an imposition and an inconvenience. She had a very dour expression and was not at all friendly. Most of the people purchased their overpriced items, so there was no cause for her to be so surly. Beyond that one small hiccup, the tour was amazing and I highly recommend it.

Awesome full day tour with Dominique!!
She was very informative, knowledgeable, friendly, energetic, and quick to offer great recommendations for the best spots during the tour and for exploring the city afterward.
The tour was fantastic, filled with stunning natural beauty, many impressive tall waterfalls. Even though not all the trees had turned autumn colors yet, the views were breathtaking. Every stops offers amazing angles and natural lighting, ideal for photo enthusiasts.
I would definitely recommend this tour with Wildwood Adventures. They truly know what they are doing and handle any inconvenience promptly.

Everything as advertised and well worth it! The group was small enough to feel intimate and our guides Monet and David were fantastic. It’s our first time in Oregon and the guides made us feel so welcomed, we highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see what Columbia River Gorge and Mt Hood has to offer.

The only reason to take this tour is the scenery, which is fantastic. But the van that the company uses is small and not suitable for taller and/or larger customers, Of the 12 people on our tour, only two had good seats from which to view the scenery. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but lacking in social skills and verbally berated several of the people on the tour. We would not take another tour offered by this company or recommend it to any of our friends or family.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback! We do try our best to make sure the tour vehicles are as comfortable as possible for our guests. We operate in 14-passenger vehicles with high roofs and large windows, which create quite a bit more breathing room than a standard height 14-passenger vehicle. Additionally, we choose to cap our tour groups at a maximum of 12 people, which allows the vehicle to have a minimum of two empty seats for each tour so as to create more wiggle room and alleviate the feeling of being packed in. We apologize this did not meet your standards.
Regarding the guide, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and find this feedback unusual. We will check in with your guide and all our our guides about their touring experience, customer service and make any corrections we can.
Again, thank you for taking the time to provide your review!
Thank you,
Wildwood Adventures

It was a nice sunny day for the trip. Really enjoyed the shop (I think it's named "Draper Girls") where you would get fresh produce, beer, and cider hand-picked/made by local farmers. Had to buy a bottle of their cherry cider, it was astounding. Hood River was a nice town to hang out at and props to the guide for giving us a few extra minutes to check out some of the talented wind-surfers. The views of Mt. Hood were exquisite from all angles which was the primary reason for us joining this tour. Although I wish we had more time to spend at Mt. Hood and Timberline Lodge. I guess you need a separate day for it. Overall, it was a nice day out, and would definitely recommend newcomers, tourists, or people without cars to take this tour and enjoy one of the most beautiful areas of Oregon.

The Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge experience was a scenic and adventurous day trip. It was so great viewing Oregon’s natural wonders and meeting new people as well! We were so happy the organizers decided to reverse the order of the trip so we visited the waterfalls later in the day when the heat was unbearable. Our tour guide, Zeke, was friendly and well learned on Oregon’s history and culture. He energized the long day trip and accommodated all participants’ needs. My partner and I are excited to return and see the falls and mountain in the future!

I went solo on this trip and it was awesome. My tour guide Chuck was very knowledgeable and animated. He clearly loves his job. The bus is comfortable with large windows to view the scenery. There is plenty of time at each of the stops to take photos. We stopped in hood river and our tour guide made multiple suggestions for lunch and we had enough time to eat and enjoy our food/drinks. I would absolutely book another tour through this company again and would recommend it for other travelers.

The tour guide is a very experienced person who explained a lot of local knowledge along the way. It's just that the time is a bit too rushed, and the lunch restaurant introduced by the tour guide is also very good. My friend and I also drank good beer..

We couldn’t have asked for a better day with guides Malia and Craig! The weather cooperated, giving us breathtaking views of Mounts Hood, St. Helen’s, Jefferson and Adams. Malia and Craig shared from their wealth of knowledge and stories about the beautiful Columbia River Gorge area with its numerous lovely falls. Their passion for this beautiful corner of Oregon made it even easier for us to fall in love with the Pacific Northwest. We enjoyed our ride up Mt. Hood and loved walking in the snow and meeting Heidi, the Saint Bernard mascot of Timberline Lodge. Malia and Craig easily fielded any questions that arose and interacted with the guests in a manner that made us feel like family. The group was small and the van very clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this trip and wouldn’t hesitate to book a future experience with Wildwood Adventures.

Beautiful scenery all day. Unexpected bonus that the Timberline Lodge was used for the exteriors of the Shining, one of my wife's favorite movies.
Eric the guide was quite personable and full of information about Portland and Oregon that made the experience more interesting. My wife was feeling under the weather toward the end of the tour and he showed concern, which I appreciated.

Hi. When you say needs good weather, is this a tour you can do in January? We are travelling in January to the area. Are tours in January highly likely to be cancelled? Thank you

How physically demanding is the tour? I'd like to have my parents join us on this tour. They are both in their 70th, healthy, but my mom is still recovering from a hip fracture and can't walk fast. Would they be able to enjoy the scenes without having to walk too much?
Written August 2, 2019
Five of us were traveling together. All of us in our 70's. My wife had hip replacement last year. One of our friends, in her mid 70's has mobility challenges. We all made the trip just fine and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Which side of the tour bus is the best to sit on in order to see the most scenery while driving.
Thank you for your time
Written September 18, 2018
I would probably choose left, but it's a small van with large windows, so not a bad seat anywhere.

Has this area fully recovered from 2017 wildfires? Any impact of the wildfires in Oregon this year on any of the sites in this area?
Written September 3, 2018
You can still see a few of the burnt trees, but mostly recovered, AND the driver knows which roads are closed so he knows BEST routes to take!

Hello, I have 2 questions:
Q: What is the expected return time of the trip?
Q: Am I able to bring a bag on the bus, or if not is there somewhere I could keep it while on the tour? I have a 9PM flight.
Written June 29, 2018
We returned about 5pm to downtown Portland. It really depends on the rush hour traffic back into Portland.
There is some room for baggage. I would check with the company first before booking the trip about everything. They are easy to get a hold of and great at answering questions.
