About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- dianamX9136ZM0 contributionsA fantastic tour and tour company! What a wonderful experience! OTC was fantastic. Booking, confirmation and communication was effortless and professional. Peter was our guide for the coast tour. He was a fountain of information and the tour itinerary was excellent. I would highly recommend booking with OTC. I also did the Columbia Gorge tour with OTC. Pete ( Peter's dad) was our guide. We were only two and ended up with our private tour. Again, so informative and congenial. Would definitely recommend them.Written September 19, 2024

- F4453XEbonnieg0 contributionsGreat Tour!My sister and I took this tour - it was waaay better than we expected. We learned sooo much about the area, geology, history and fun facts- our heads almost exploded! Peter was amazing and a mini Wikipedia! He was also very attentive, making sure we got bathroom breaks and that the van temperature was just right. Highly recommend this tour.Written August 17, 2024
- ijr1030 contributionsDisappointed in cancellation decisionAs a result of the huge nationwide computer crisis on Friday, July 19th our Delta flights from Chicago to Portland were postponed several times the next day and then cancelled. As soon as we were rebooked we called to cancel this tour which we were supposed to go on Sunday, July 21st., We missed the free 24-hour cancellation by an hour. We were told we could go on the tour another day, but our class schedule in Portland did not give us any free day to do that. The coast tour went on without us for 5-6 people including two friends who made it to Portland in time. The Portland hotel waved their 24-hour cancellation policy, and we were disappointed that this company chose to not do the same considering this was a nationwide problem.Written August 14, 2024
- Exploration7032130 contributionsTHIS TOUR SHOULD NOT BE MISSED‼️Tour Guide, Peter, was phenomenal. He was personable and knew absolutely everything regarding the Pacific NW. Peter was a safe driver too. We thoroughly enjoyed the beaches, towns, farmlands and fog we saw. Peter offered unlimited facts on all aspects of our tour. The van was comfortable and we could see from wherever we sat. There were a total of 9 passengers and we all had plenty of room. My husband most enjoyed the tour of the dairy farms factory floor where they were processing cheddar cheese. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR‼️Written August 10, 2024
- Lovetosealife0 contributionsView more doing lessLoved the tour, no stress, Peter was very informative all through the tour. We were picked up from the hotel, no driving to worry about, No GPS, no having to look for parking etc. My husband & I both enjoyed the tour very much.Written August 4, 2024

I would dare say Peter seemingly knows bout everything there is to know about Oregon and this area. If you want a comprehensive tour with lots of information and a safe ride, this is the one for you. Feel very fortunate that we booked with them.Written August 2, 2024
- 552mylaj0 contributionsAmazing Guide, Amazing View, Must See!!We did the Oregon Coast Tour from Portland by Oregon Tour Co. on May 31, 2024, a full day tour. It was an incredible and insightful experience. Our tour guide Mr. Peter knows his craft, really knowledgeable, my husband and I like him, friendly, he knows how to entertain the folks that visiting his place. Regarding this tour "Oregon Coast Tour" - Trip to the northern Oregon beaches, this gives us the chance to: 1. Explore the beach and majestic Haystack Rock, the Haystack Rock is loaded with different seabirds, we loved it! 2. Have lunch in Cannon Beach and browse in the many quaint stores and shops. 3. Pass through a preserved old-growth forest on the way to Ecola state park and hike out to view the sea lions and seabirds. 4. Mr. Peter will bring you to the overlooking sight of the Pacific Ocean-what a view! My husband and I did two full day tours with this company. Their tour package is also more competitive than the other tour company. Really recommended!Written July 25, 2024
- 552mylaj0 contributionsKnowledgeable Tour Guide, Amazing Views, Relaxing Experience!I will definitely give a 5-star review for the tour guide (Peter). He exceeded our expectations. While he is driving, he was telling us the story about the place, he knows the names of the trees, plants, Mt. Hood, Mt. Hood's Timberline Lodge, the Yakama and Tillamook tribe, etc. He is amazing. We thought he will just drive us to the place and do a little bit of talking but he was just entertaining us up to the end of our tour. The Mt. Hood/Gorge Waterfall Loop from Portland Tour is a must for people visiting Portland OR. The sights are breathtaking, we went to: Crown Point Vista house - atop 800-foot sheer rock cliffs Latourell Falls Bridal Veil State Scenic Viewpoint Wahkeena Falls Multnomah Falls - 2nd tallest year-round waterfall in the country Horsetail Falls Apple, Blueberry, Wine Farm, etc. Trillium Lake Lake - drive by only Mount Hood Mount Hood's Timberline Lodge Their Tour package also is more affordable compared to other tour groups in the same market. I recommend this tour company - OREGON TOUR CO.!Written July 25, 2024

We took the Gray Line’s hop-on/hop-off trolley after a 25 minute drive to their parking lot in Corbett. Service was punctual, the drivers were informative and helpful and we had the luxury of focussing on the beautiful water falls and vistas of the Columbia River. Driving a personal car would clearly have distracted from the sights along the gorge. Money well spent.

This was absolutely the highlight of our visit to Portland. Peter was incredibly well informed and we learned more in 4 hours than we could’ve imagined. The falls we visited were stunning, all great photo ops and a welcome touch of nature outside the city. This tour was very carefully planned out, and Peter was a most professional, careful and thoughtful guide. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough—book it!!!!

My husband and I agreed that this was the best tour we’ve ever been on! Our tour guide Peter was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the tour very interesting and fun, and the views were SPECTACULAR. For us it was just the right amount of walking, I wouldn’t recommend if you’re disabled or can’t do steep hills, but if you’re able-bodied it’s very doable you’re only ever walking a 1/4 mile or so at a time. This tour was worth every penny and we will be recommending it to everyone we know.

Fantastic tour. Peter was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and its long history. The gorge and waterfalls are spectacular, and we did not feel rushed at any of the stops. We highly recommend this tour, especially since this is a small family run tour group.

We booked a 4 hour private tour when our cruise boats excursion was full. What a treat to have Peter, our own private guide take us on a 4+hour tour to where we wanted, as long as we wanted, skip what we wanted, etc. What a tremendously knowledgable guide Peter was. Wow! Great voice, great knowledge, great stories, great flexibility. I would highly recommend.

Peter was our guide and he was awesome. He has a vast knowledge of the area that exceeds just the tour we were on. This tour was great. We went on Labor Day weekend so there were a lot of people at the various sites we visited. Peter was able to maneuver our tour group perfectly into the best viewing spots. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour by far beats the do-it-yourself option. Not only will you avoid driving on unfamiliar roads, you’ll enjoy hearing historical and relevant information from a fantastic guide. Peter provided us with fun facts about Portland and the surrounding areas. His expertise gave us the guidance we needed to completely enjoy every stop. We had a much richer experience of the Columbia River Gorge thanks to the professionalism and enthusiasm of this tour operation.

It was nice to have someone else do the driving so we could relax and see the countryside. Peter had a most resonant voice and we loved hearing him tell us all about what we were seeing, besides the fact that he was very knowledgeable. We learned so much from him that we wouldn't have know had we driven ourselves. We had sufficient time at each stop to take pictures and short walks.

We had a wonderful time with Peter. He was a safe driver and a great teacher. His knowledge extended from history to geography. The waterfalls were beautiful and we were given sufficient time to take photos and absorb the views. I highly recommend this tour for half a day of your stay.

Fantastic 1/2 Day Tour! Peter was such a great guide and so knowledgeable about the geology and flora of the region. The waterfalls are breathtaking and very accessible by foot. Can you do s day trip to Depot Bay?
My kid and I live here in Portland but I can't drive any more due to lost vision in my right eye. Not safe. But we want to go to Ripleys Believe It Or Not and the aquarium that's down there.
I only see pics of Northern Coast. We know about that.
If you can do that how much would it cost for a 50 yr old and a 12 yr old for a long day?

Do you know if travel is by a smaller van or larger bus - it sounds like small group which is what I want. Thanks!!!
Written June 11, 2018
Our group was only 4 when we went and it was a van size vehicle. Very comfortable and easy ride.
