About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 606martynh0 contributionsExcellent way to see Columbia Valley and Mount HoodPhil, our tour guide, was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the area and a mine of useful information. He was professional, friendly and made our tour. Good town for lunch stop with many reasonable dining options. The pace of the tour was just right, never feeling rushed or needing more time. Our tour had only four people which meant little time spent boarding and un-boarding the van. Would highly recommend.Written September 12, 2024

She was very knowledgeable and provided interesting details and stories about Portland history and the areas we visited. The falls she took us to were lovely in July. We were with seven other adventurers in an air conditioned touring van. A very enjoyable experience!Written July 31, 2024

- E373URruthg0 contributionsEntertaining and funVan picked me up from my hotel requiring me to do nothing except follow their time frame and instructions. Showed us interesting and historical aspects of Portland in entertaining way. Our stops at assorted places were timed well so we weren’t hanging around waiting. Lunch stop was wonderful. Only issue was tour guide talked a LOT about sports teams that were nonsensical to folks from other cities. Would recommend, though.Written July 27, 2024

Good stops, but not-so- knowledgeable driver. The time spent at various places should have been distributed differently. We rushed where we should’ve had more time, such as Cannon Beach, and had a lot of time where it wasn’t needed. The van had a gaping hole where the ac system was and it dripped onto us as we were driving. We were offered warm water. The plus was the scenery, you can’t ruin that. It would’ve been nice to be told what the stops were at the beginning of the day because it varied from the published itinerary.

We had an excellent tour to the ocean from Portland yesterday, stopping at a number of parks and beaches to take in some great views and nature settings. Keira was a great guide with lots of info, anecdotes and stories to fill the trip. We stopped in Cannon Beach for lunch and had some tasty, fresh fish at a local restaurant. I'd absolutely recommend this for anyone looking to step away from Portland and see the coast.

Well, if you like history then you should do it definitely. Very nice and very powerful views . Adam is a very knowledgeable person explaining the history of Portland and Oregon. We had a great time and worth every penny. If you are having a slightly rainy day do not cancel because you will have even a better view. Thanks

Had a wonderful day touring the Oregon coast with our guide Eduardo. Pickup was very convenient and the sights were gorgeous even with cloudy skies. Would definitely recommend this tour to other solo travelers - our group was very friendly and it was a great way to see the coast without having to rent a car.

Excellent way of seeing the coast without renting a car. John was knowledgeable and fun. The locations we went were truly stunning. I would have preferred 1 less stop (skipping sea side or Manzanita probably) with more time at each place but there still was time to explore. This did involve time to walk on the shore so keep that in mind when you choose your shoes. Company should get guide a mic as the back of the bus might have difficulty hearing!

Great tour! Our guide Jay was a walking encyclopedia with a great sense of humor. Kept the drives between destinations fun and lively. He also structured our trip well to allow us plenty of time at the main attractions. Over the course of the tour we were able to explore towns, spend time at the beach, enjoy some light hikes (that even a senior citizen on our tour was able to manage), and take in great views.
Bring a light windbreaker or sweatshirt which may or may not be needed. Consider bringing a towel and beach footwear If you plan to try the water (it’s too cold for swimming even in July but nice to walk in up to your shins) or relax on the sandy beaches.

This tour was so fun! I was traveling alone, and I wanted a tour with other visitors so that I would feel safe, but still be able to feel like I was exploring something new. This was perfect for me! Phil, our tour guide, was so knowledgable about the area and the history-I learned a LOT. Each stop was gorgeous and I enjoyed having some time to get lunch and walk around town at Cannon Beach. I even made some new friends on the tour!

I had a lovely time. We had a smaller group (just the three of us) and were able to customize the trip a bit to you liking and the weather. It was rainy, and we added a little quick visit to Tillamook for cheese and ice cream sampling, and stopped by to get fresh California cherries (one of the highlights). Our driver and tour guide was knowledgeable and really thoughtful, the van was comfortable, the views did not disappoint. Overall, a lovely experience.

This was a highly enjoyable tour of the Oregon coast. Our guide, Steve, was so very knowledgable and we learned so much. Oregon is a beautiful state and this was a great way to see a lot of it in the one free day we had. This tour is well worth the time and money.

It was a beautiful sunny day and the trip was very nice. The tour guide did know his plants and the area overall. A lot of Portland history as well. On these long tours guides should not feel obliged to talk non stop.

Hi, can this trip be private for 6 people? If so, how much would it be?
Thank you,

I would reach out directly to the tour regarding this question. I do not know if there is storage space in the sprinter van for the walker or the tour's policies.
We had a senior on my trip who was able to walk the brief hikes, slowly and still enjoy. Most of the stops are definitely walker accessible but you may require more time than is allotted for the stop to enjoy it properly.
We also stopped as Oswald West State Park which would be only stop that may not be manageable using a walker. There is about a 10-15 minute brief hike down to the rock beach but the water and sand beach are inaccessible unless you walk over the rocks which is unrealistic even if assisted. If you can keep up with the pace, you will still be able to enjoy the view but I do no recall any sitting areas.
Best of luck!

I thought I had to let the tour company know where we are staying in Portland. But I got an answer from someone on Trip Advisor says the tour company will call me. Hope they have a number. I don't want to miss my ride.

We are booked on a tour on 7/17/19 for a bus trip to the Oregon Coast. I need to tell the tour company which hotel we are at so they can pick us up. What number should I call?
Written May 31, 2019
You don't need to call, they'll contact you a day or two before your tour. I hope you get Jeri as your guide .
Written June 1, 2019
The hotels they pick up at are on the description of the tour. We were picked up at Hotel Kimpton Monaco in Portland. You can call to check if they will pick you up.
