Overview
Get views of Wineglass Bay and Tasmania's Freycinet Peninsula from the deck of a boat on this half-day cruise. Sit back, relax, and watch for humpback whales, dolphins, and sea eagles—sights you may not catch on a traditional land-based tour. Dig in to an included ploughman's lunch while cruising past white-sand beaches, snapping photos of the rugged sea cliffs, and learning about the region through live commentary.
What to Expect
Step aboard a catamaran and find a comfortable spot on board to take in the scenery of Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula. The catamaran features both indoor and outdoor seating and floor-to-ceiling windows, so there's not a bad seat in the house. And, the cruise can proceed no matter the weather. Views of both of these natural areas are best enjoyed from on the water, not to mention the possibility of getting up close with local whales, dolphins, and sea birds.

The boat will drop anchor amid the natural scenery and serve a ploughman's lunch, consisting of local produce, such as salmon, cheese, and chocolate. Step up to the cash bar for beverages and cool-climate wines.

As you travel, listen to live commentary about the local environment, flora, and fauna, learning much more about Wineglass Bay than you would by simply exploring on your own.

Did the boat tour today. Excellent saw so much scenery was breathtaking. Seals playing in the water as well as the whales. Very friendly staff couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed downstairs the cheaper version of the cruise but well worth it. If you...More

Enjoy!

Comfortable cruising. Informative and attentive staff. Beautiful scenery-something special about big rocks! Wasn't expecting to see whales as I considered it a bit late in the season, but was treated to several flipping around. Would recommend!

We visited Wineglass Bay in 2014 and promised to return when next in Tasmania.. which we did a few weeks ago. Last time, we camped at Coles Bay and trekked up and over "The Hazzards" mountains to the Bay...along the beach and back around the...More

Hi Amy Thank you for your review. Unfortunately the day you cruised did blow up quite quickly on the outside of the Peninsula and the weather wasn't that nice for you with the low sea mist but it isn't like that every day. We are...More

We had a reasonably smooth ride. You go along the coast line. Lunch is in Wineglass Bay. Very calm. Suggest upstairs. Best to check weather before you cruise.

I get seasick myself, but on stable boats like this, I don't even bother to take my preferred Travelcalm. If you are severely prone to seasickness, take your preferred sea-sickness tablet before you board. Looking regularly... More
