We were planning on using this crawl as a day-time activity for our bachelorette party before dinner. Unfortunately, even though the app said “start any time,” right off the jump, 3/4 of our first bar stops were closed due to us participating during the day instead of at night. Some of those bars were even permanently closed, however, and we’d thought that would’ve been adjusted. When we tried to “skip” through the closed bars, the app was crashing and wouldn’t let us override the stop. It just ended up being quite frustrating and we quit after only about 20 minutes. I’d say to anyone doing this, definitely don’t start it before 6:00 pm (or the app should make some sort of guidance like that). Additionally, we wish it would’ve been clear that the “challenges” at each stop were pretty silly and involved us interacting with random strangers in an embarrassing way. Yes it’s a bachelorette party, but that should’ve been advertised that you CANT bypass a stop unless you do these things. Maybe one awkward challenge per stop, but 6-8 felt at each felt a bit much. We thought the challenges might be finding some unique landmarks or trying specialty drinks, or something at least relevant to the bar. Overall, I don’t think we’d ever do this again, unfortunately, because we were hopeful about the experience.
