My husband and I loved the mid morning horse ride on Oscar and Billy, and would strongly recommend it to anyone who is travelling to Cape Tribulation.

The guys that run the operation are absolutely the best value, they may look a bit rough around the edges but are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

The brand new stables are fantastic and the enhancements to the property are exciting for the future.

We look forward to riding again when visit.

Although a slow walk through the forrest to the beach, it was a lovely walk. The horses were very well behaved apart from the odd niggle which made it all feel that bit more "real". Selina chatted away giving extra bits of information to us as we went. It was nice that the photo shoot was with our own cameras and not used as an opportunity to fleece more money out of us, as so many tourist experiences are. Top tip to pass on though - maybe turn the horses with the sun facing rather than behind, otherwise the photos just come out as shadows. Bonus crocodile sighting made for a very enjoyable morning.

Fantastic! The team's was lovely and great at making less experienced riders feel at ease. Great way exploring the rainforest and Myall Beach. We even saw a croc on our ride!

First of all, the horse riding was great. The trail was lovely and had beautiful views of the rainforest and the beach. The experience felt safe and the staff clearly knew what they were doing. The horses were calm and easy to ride.

We only have two criticisms:

1) the helmets stunk. Not just a slight odour, but actually putrid. I understand it's the tropics, but cleaning them after each use and having extra helmets to rotate the recently used one's out would be a simple solution to this problem. A little extra care goes along way.

2) Most of the guides were lovely and welcoming. But the owner was very agitated and rude... very poor people skills. From the moment we arrived he made us feel unwelcome. We heard him yell and abuse his staff and some of the clients several times during the ride. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe that's just how he is, but he clearly didn't want to be there. As I mentioned, the rest of the staff were great, but they were young girls and it made us feel very uncomfortable watching a grown man use his power to yell at them and abuse them. Very unprofessional. If that's how he treats them in front of the clients, I can't imagine how bad he must treat them behind closed doors. Definitely doesn't embrace the laid back, friendly vibe Australians are known for.

Apart from that, great ride.

Thanku for the review , as the manager I take the review seriously firstly the helmets are sprayed with disinfectant twice daily so I am trying to understand why they are so putrid, secondly if I was yelling at my staff so badly do you honestly think they would be working for me , If you thought I was such a bad person why not say something to me , but no just like most people these days you waited to get behind a keyboard .

Would definitely recommend for beginner riders or anyone looking for a very tame horse ride through the beautiful surroundings of forest and beach. The horses were very lovely and easy-going and the guides were chatty and taught us about the different wildlife we were seeing. We even saw a large female croc resting on the riverbank! It was unfortunate that we weren't able to canter or do anything more than a single file walk due to new restrictions.

A truly peaceful morning ride through the rainforest and onto the beach. Amazing trail, beautiful scenery and we even saw a croc sunbaking! Our guide Steve was an all round great bloke and had really good knowledge of the area/floral/fauna and even better stories. The horsies were very calm and well behaved, excellent for any first time riders.

This was a beautiful, meandering wander on horseback through rainforest and along Myall Beach. Horses are beautiful, calm and obedient. Perfect for the beginner. Gerry is a great guide and provides lots of local horticulture knowledge, even some local cooking tips using the bush tucker.

My husband and I loved this. We did the mid-morning ride. It absolutely bucketed rain and we got drenched but it was exhilarating and the scenery was spectacular - misty mountains on one side and stormy seas on the other. The team were fantastic! They were friendly and attentive, and they made us feel safe at all times, as neither of us are experienced riders. The horses were lovely and well-trained. This activity is a must if you’re heading to Far North Queensland.

Thankyou Steve and team! We booked this experience for our 11yr old daughter as a bday gift- she LOVED it!! We felt safe at all times and Steve had such a great sense of humour... and obviously cares deeply for his horses. It was a very Hot day in paradise but Steve kept things jovial and fun. Highly recommend.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
