Despite Storm Ashley delaying the start of our ‘cruise’, we had a fantastic trip. James’s enthusiasm, encouragement and sense of humour made us all feel at ease. The safety information was excellent and reinforced enough times for even ‘Crumblies’ to remember! The hot Ribena and biscuits, at the end, was a lovely, thoughtful touch, on a cold day. Thanks! The whole experience was AMAZING and we would thoroughly recommend it.

The experience was out of this world. A brilliant way to view the Lakes also having fun at the same time. James & Dave were very attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable. James should do "Stand Up" as he kept us all entertained along the way. Mark & Karen Warwickshire.

First time WWR for the family. Two adults and 3 teenage boys. The guides keep the safety briefing light but still get all the information across. James was our raft guide - be prepared for some classic 'dad jokes'! Plenty of time on the river and the rapids were great fun. Good changing facilities and hot showers at the end. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed our trip. Well organised. Felt confident in our instructor in terms of safety especially with a young child in our group. Exciting finish to the trip! Only slight downside was the wetsuits were well worn.

Can highly recommend this activity on the River Eden, I actually live in Lazonby and thought it would be nice to get out on the water. The 3 guides James, Dave and Ritch were very friendly and made everyone feel at ease. Once kitted up there is a short walk to the river followed by a safety briefing, once on the river you have a quick practice of the things covered on the safety briefing. On the whole the trip is very chilled and easy going, fantastic scenery too. The rapids are fantastic and if you follow your guides instructions you are totally safe. Be prepared for some stories and jokes along the way, which I think make the experience as much fun as the rafting. We had a few opportunities to swim in the river but there is no pressure to do this it's totally optional. If you get the chance give this a go, great for groups, families and solos. Thanks guys I had a super morning.

Fantastic few hours spent on the River Eden on Sunday afternoon. Very enjoyable and fun family time and will be back to do the trip in the South Lakes. James, our raft guide was great. A very funny fella with so many stories to tell.

Excellent trip, James (great name) our guide was really experienced and enthusiastic. The valley is amazing and it was great to experience Grade 4 rapids. Would definitely recommend this to others.

We booked white water rafting as one our activities for our half term holiday in the Lakes and I can honestly say it was ace! I was a little apprehensive but guides Chris & Dave made it both fun and safe from start to finish. We had to change our booking last minute (twice) and the response from Rosie was super quick and accommodating. Thanks for a fantastic experience!!

Brilliant trip down the river. The scenery is spectacular and the rafting is great fun. James is an excellent and highly professional coxswain. He is a great raconteur and enthused all of us on the raft.

We had a great time, the staff were really friendly and good fun. It was fairly tame for White Water Rafting standards but we all had a great time. The only downside was having to put on damp wetsuits when it was cold outside anyway. If you have your own I'd take it.

This was a presant for my husbands 60th and i was very apprehensive about doing it with him, but OMG it was amazing, james was our raft guide and he made us both feel very at ease and even helped with the action camera when we reached the highest rapids, my husband dave hasnt stopped talking about it, we will definitely be booking again , thank you james for making this special even your jokes kept us going lol 😆

Wow another great trip with Lakes Rafting, fun all the way. We never felt unsafe and were taken care of by team. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for soemthing fun to do in the Lake District.
