Superb day. Cool weather perfect in our wet suits. Guides were brilliant. No abseiling which suited us - plenty of interesting rock formations and options at the jumps. Meal afterwards was really good. Try the doughnuts. Can’t recommend it highly enough

I had never canyoned before and it was such an experience. You're provided with wetsuits, helmets and appropriate footwear, and then you venture off into the valley in between huge imposing cliffs. The water is cold but refreshing, and the jumps off rocks are so much fun. At the final one I jumped 11 metres and my shoe exploded. Lunch was included in the price and we were taken to a gorgeous eco village and had local cuisine, with local drink, and the entire experience was ace.

We, a group of 8 aged 14 to 54, did a guided canyoning tour in Nevideo canyon in early July. Canyoning is the art of travelling a canyon using a variety of techniques incl hiking, climbing, rapelling, swimming and whatever it takes! Nevidio is not a technically hard tour requiring climbing or rapelling skills.
Nevideo is a truly extraordinary experience but it also comes with a few prerequisites... It is a physically demanding tour that requires that you are in a reasonably good shape, have no problem jumping 5m down into a water pond or whirlpool, can swim and that you are not bothered by cold water. And once you start you have to finish, turning back is hard or impossible!
The tour is at least a couple of hours, you are equipped with helmet, wet suit and proper hiking/wet suit shoes - and you are wet all the time, head and hands are exposed to the cold water. Most of us were fine as you work up the heat as you are constantly moving. However a couple of us thought it was really cold, especially having a wet suit that is a little too big, letting in more cold water than it should. Water temperature is somewhere between 4-9 degrees Celsius/centigrades.
Now for the positives! It is a unique setting with sculptured limestone walls towering something like 350m above the water. The canyon narrows down to less than a couple of meters wide in a few spots and the water is crystal clear. We saw fish and frogs. The tour is a great combination of fantastic scenery, adventure and physical challenges.
There are some places you really have to jump in the water to continue and it is high and sometimes very narrow. The guides were good and gave good directives, so no big problems. There are many more jumps, from some height, than we expected - great fun and quite challenging.
At the end you reach a little open space where the forest meets the water and you have to get up out of the water. Now you have 350 vertical meters to walk in a steep forest path, in wet suit, to reach the road (take to the right!!) that takes you back to the starting point.
The guide spoke enough English to make himself clearly understood, especially when it came to instructions. But not much beyond that, English is not common outside touristic areas in Montenegro.
A couple of insights, a GoPro is a MUCH better choice than an SLR even if brought in a watertight bag, there were very few spots where I could use my SLR - and I was not able to take any action pictures. Secondly we discovered, after the tour, that our finger tips were polished into almost hurtingly thin skin. Being constantly wet and using your hands on the rocks for a few hours takes its toll. If you have sensitive skin, ask for or bring your own gloves.

A day spent exploring Nevidio Canyon with Misko is not only a day of amazing adventures, but such a unique way to create lifelong memories of our journey through Montenegro.
From the smallest ‘slide’ to the biggest ‘rock jump’, photos under waterfalls to floating on our backs looking up at the canyon walls towering above us, and everything in between – it was a privelege to jump, slide and swim in Misko’s natural ‘aqua park’.
Our first experience canyoning and with the mixture of beautiful but otherwise inaccessible scenery and adrenalin of the blood pumping from the chill of the water, the heights, the cramped spaces or jumping into the unknown – we’re hooked!
Without hesitation we would recommend Nevidio Canyoning for the professionalism, the approach to safety, the expert knowledge, sense of humour and the pride that Misko takes in spending time in nature. We hope to be back one day – but if we do not return, the photos, videos and memories will remain. Hvala Puno!

Our party of 3 girlfriends (aged 57, 58 and 59) was quite apprehensive about this trip. After all none of us had previous experience with jumps and canonyong. But soon we were overwhelmed by Nevidio canyon beauty. We felt so safe in hands of our guide Goran Rondovic. 3 hours we spent at this trip went so quickly. we also had great diner at restaurant Jatak near by.

I’ve just read I’ve to jump 5m omg I think I’m scared to death
What happens if I get that fear out there?
