Boring waste of money and time for a 7yo who loves LEGO
LEGOLAND was terribly underwhelming and we will not return. We travelled from Ottawa to visit with my LEGO-obsessed 7y/o boy and it was a giant disappointment for him. The rides were very short and uninspired with zero thrill factor; the one with the guns did not even work properly. The displays were neat, but much smaller than we anticipated. Food was overpriced, undercooked and very poor quality. The only part of the entire place that held any interest for him were the ramps, where kids could build LEGO cars and race them against one another. The Ninjago climbing gym was fun for about 10 minutes, there are much bigger and more interesting / challenging climbing experiences elsewhere. I was hugely disappointed to find that there was no opportunity to try the robotic lego (Spike Prime), I fully expected that this innovative new LEGO would be on full display for older kids to try — this might have saved it for us, but it was nowhere to be seen. And be forewarned that you'll have to navigate through the biggest LEGO store you've ever seen on your way out, every parent's nightmare. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this was a two thumbs down experience for us. If your kids are 4 or 5, maybe. But if you have a LEGO-loving kid who is 7 or 8, this will be a giant disappointment.

    Amazing! My boys love it
I have 3 boys ages 4, 6 and 11 and we have the seasons pass for Sunday-Friday (as I would not dare go when its busy or on a Saturday anyway). Have to say my kids love coming here! The staff is very friendly and helpful. My kids also love that since we have a seasons pass and it's basically free for us to get in, I let them get a small lego set on the way out (which we also get a discount for being seasons pass members). My kids love the rides, the movies and building the lego racers!!

    Too expensive
I found too expensive. Very little to see for 36.00$. One of the rides broken down and we have to wait to ride it again.

Staff were great attraction terrible for the price
The price for entry versus what you get is way out of touch. Most activities weren’t working and the gift when you upgrade your ticket is a pathetic little piece of plastic. Spent over $150 for my two kids, wife and myself and I will never come back again. Staff were all lovely, kind and very helpful my issue is with the Lego land itself.

Great way to spend a few hours on a weekday
We took our son for his 5th birthday and we all had fun. The two rides were a highlight. We all enjoyed the 4D movie we saw - it’s great they are 10-15 minutes long so easy to catch a few. My son loved the playground and spent a lot of time there. The scavenger hunt wasn’t worth the money - there’s so much to do you don’t need another thing. We were impressed with the cafe. Good selection of kid-friendly foods (and vegetarian options) with large portions for a great price. We were pretty much done after 3 hours but had a good time for the time we were there.

    Grand-daughter's XMAS 2022 Outing
Great time had by Grandparents and 5 year old Granddaughter. A bit pricey but if you take advantage of the rides and the Movie it is definitely worth the experience. It was well managed (only a short line-up at the Cafe and we founds seating) and well organized given that kids were still on XMAS break so a very busy place just after New Year's day.

    Way too crowded
This should have been a great experience for my kids (ages 6 & 10), but instead we spent most of our time pushing through crowds and waiting in lines. It was at least 30-40+ minutes wait to go on each of the 2 rides and to see the movie. It was almost impossible to build the cars or other challenges with so many kids everywhere and Lego scattered all over the ground. I realize that going over Christmas break would be busier but according to the website, tickets are sold in specific time slots to ‘make your experience more enjoyable by reducing queue times and reducing crowding’. That was not the case. Many of the displays were also broken (the moulding demo, many buttons in mini land). I’d give it one star based on our experience but the extra is because the movie was awesome.

    DO NOT BUY VIP experience!
Legoland Vaughan was fun for my 2 grandchildren, 7 and 9. They enjoyed building things, but they spent most of their time in the glorified Playplace. They really liked the 4-D movie and the older one enjoyed the rides - the younger one not so much. The laser ride was fun but we only got to go on it once. Do NOT, when you're buying tickets, buy the VIP experience. A total rip-off. All they did was take some photos of us when we arrived - no background or anything and put it on a digital card. I had purchased 3 at $5 each when I bought tickets on-line so there was $15 wasted. I took my own pictures. Also, I paid $7.50 each for an "adventure game". Basically the kids were given a card that showed 4 characters they had to spot in mini-lego-land. The big win at the end of that was a stupid cardboard crown like the ones burger king or mcdonald's give out. I can't believe I spent $15 on 2 of those! What a rip-off!

We had a great time at LEGOland Toronto. The staff was delightful, kind, patient and helpful. My kids really enjoyed the 4-D movie and building the race cars.

    Very good, but skews young
While my family and i had fun today and I have lots of positives to say, it's very important that people understand how young this place skews. The 2 rides (everything was functional) and the open area concept with similar attractions you'd see in a McDonalds play area make this place a lot more fun for very little kids. I went with a 2 year old, a 5 year old and a 7 year old and it is the 2 year old who had the most fun. Not to say the rest didn't, they did, but it was the 2 year old who never got bored. He really loved seeing the cars race. There is definitely enough to do for it to be worth it for the price you pay for the kids. HOWEVER, since there isn't much for the adults accompanying them, the fact that you are paying the price of 2 tickets for the enjoyment of 1 child (if you go 1 parent for each child) makes it quickly expensive. Luckily, there are many ways to get free tickets for a child, like on the cheaper lego polybags that I ended up only paying for 1 ticket per child/parent combo. Adding to that the fact that we went in a weekday where there werent many people, we basically had the rides to ourselves and it all really felt worthwhile. Now here is what I find really commendable followed by my biggest critique/constructive criticism. Commendable: I was very surprised by how affordable the food at the cafe was. I didn't feel the need to step out to go to the mall cafeteria or bring any food/snacks from home. While this plays skews young, they do in returns make it easy for families by having affordable food items for kids to eat and changing rooms, and even very tiny water fountains. So good job for that. Constructive criticism: In the area where you build your own car to race and test, there are some crucial lego pieces missing. You have these massive wheels with spokes at the center but no piece to lock in that spoke. So you are stuck making very thin cars which don't really look like cars. Would be an easy fix. Either have pieces to lock in the cross spokes or have big wheels which clip on with the other options. Cheers!

    4 Hours of LEGO Fun
The kids had a blast. Even though we went on a Friday there wasn’t much rush (most likely because school has started). The kids were able to everything they wanted to and the staff were polite and nice. I’m glad I brought them here, even I had fun on the rides and 4D movie experiences.

    Not worth the money
Given the cost of this experience I would not recommend it. The $37 ticket with a “free gift” was the same for all 4 tickets which felt incredibly redundant - an option should exist. Our 4/6 year olds enjoyed the play structure. The free play area to build cars and drive them was chaotic at best with little to no staff supervision. We bought the add on for the stamp pass for the tickets and it was not given to us. Younger kids were being knocked over by 12+ year olds who were running all over the area, and the store at the end was chaotic and disorganized, as well as somewhat under stocked. With hindsight I would have sooner taken my kids to the lego store at Sherway and let them spend that $150 on more lego instead of the “discovery centre”

    Needs maintenance
The staff was amazing and very friendly One of the rides was out of order. The theatre was under maintenance. Several of the other small machines were out of order. Legoland has had two years to get this into tip too shape for post Covid conditions and I was surprised they didn’t give a discount as the experience was bound to be under 100%. Seems that is the norm these days. It’s great fun for kids, how we be aware that it’s a lot of money for less than is advertised.

    Save your money
Not worth the money. Save your money don’t go. My grandson said it was boring and he is 7 years old and loves lego.Paid a lot and left after 30 minutes such a waste of money.

Not enough rides and activities for adults. A lot of adults just standing around waiting for their kids outside the playground looking really bored, Would have been nice that adults can go in with the kids together. Too few rides, only 2, while they are good, just not enough to spend a day there, at most 1 to 2 hours. I wish there are at least 4-5 more rides, I don't mind paying higher season pass rates to have a place where we can spend a day for the whole family. Toronto doesn't have many options like that and unfortunately this is not a place like that either. The movies don't change a lot, once you have seen them once, then there's no point seeing them again for a long long time. This Legoland is really too small. We have the annual pass but can't find it interesting enough to return too often.

Thank you for taking the time to rate the attraction. We are sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is a LEGO themed indoor playground designed for families with children between 3-10 years of age. Unfortunately we are confined by some physical limitations that does not give us the space to add additional rides. In order to change the experience we do offer 4-5 different events that run for several weeks at the time. Starting in mid March it will be all about Trolls. We hope to see you and your family again in the near future. Sincerely, Rene G. General Manager

Had a great time at Legoland in Vaughan, ON.
Great way to burn a few hours with children 3 and up. The venue is clean and lots of staff.
One of the rides was broken during the visit - but my 5 year old didn’t seem to mind. During one of the instructional building sessions the LEGO team member left the room for about 10 minutes, leaving everyone to figure it out... The room got loud real quick!
All in all, a great day trip! Definitely recommend if you are looking for something different to do with the kids!

A great attraction for kids, they have great fun... however it is quite expensive since the adults pay the same price as the child, to sit around while the kiddos play.

If you go when school is out it is very crowded, long of line ups to do anything and not enough space for adults to sit while watching the kids. Expect to maneuver around strollers, coats, boots, diaper bags & people.

The cafe food is better than expected and prices are decent, much better than most attractions. The tables are close together & hard to get around.

Cleanliness in the cafe seating area is below poor. I sat there for several hours & not once saw any staff clean tables. Nor did I see any cleaning anywhere in the attraction. I saw a few staff with cloths & spray bottles, but no cleaning. This was very concerning.

the other odd thing is you can not pay anything with money, so be prepared.

This place did not meet my expectations at all. It was just a regular indoor playground but in a theme of Lego.So there was Lego everywhere (just like at our house), a tiny Lego display room and 2 small amusement rides. There was a large jungle gym, which was the highlight of the whole experience. What I found especially outrageous is the fact that adults have to pay for their ticket too ($30 per parent), and then all you do is stand there and watch your kid run around. I most definitly would not take my kid here again. There is no reason why I should have to pay $100 for my husband and I to be able to take our kid to a play ground. Not to mention the chaos of people all over the place, kids running everywhere, screaming, pushing, and smaller kids crawling right where people just walked with their outdoor boots. The only benefit here is convenient location of legoland(it's right in the vaughan mills mall) and the parking is free.

We LOVED the LegoLand experience!! We travelled to Toronto with a 4 year old and this was the perfect way to spend a couple of hours (if your kids are totally into lego, they could spend most of the day there!). There are a few small attractions, and plenty of lego to keep the kids (and some of the adults :) ) busy for ages. We took part in a lego class, they run every hour or so, and then went and grabbed a 4D short movie there. The cafe there seemed quite reasonably priced although we didn't eat there. Our little person played for ages in the indoor playzone there. Bathrooms were spotless. A really lovely experience :)

My child loves to build Lego, so going to LEGOLAND is a must.
Love the staff, they make you feel so welcome, I know it's not fun doing the same thing everyday, over and over again but they keep smiling, interact with guest and help the youngsters with the builds. Special thanks to Fabio, Maggie, Shane, Allan, Lillian, and the lovely Alecia at the cafe, and Sean.

This was a terrible attraction. My son was looking forward to this for months, and he was so disappointed.
Build areas had really basic bricks and visitors couldn’t build much with them. VR ride took about 4 min. Staff was obviously bored and unhelpful. Staff wouldn’t let you pick your own bricks at the Pick-a-brick wall. So lame! Huge waste of money. For the same cost, we could have bought my son a cool Lego set and that would have been a much better value.

I took my class on a field trip and the kids along with the adults enjoyed themselves!! There was something for every age group to enjoy! They even offer classes on how to build certain items. The cafe offered quite a bit of a variety and the cost was reasonable. Did t worry with my nut allergy. Will definitely bring my nieces here ! It’s inside Vaungh millls and parking is free. Bring ear plugs as it can get a bit noisy in there when it gets busy.

As far as I am concerned. this establishment ripped us off. I bought a pass for myself and my children before the pandemic. We only got to use it once and the place closed down (Not their fault). But then they opened back up and didn't let us know that they reactivated our passes unbenounced to me. When I contacted them September 2022 to find out what happened, I was told our passes were now expired. This company refused to credit us anything. We lost out on 11 months of the passes.

Hi BZQT, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are saddened to read that you feel this way. All passes that were purchased pre-pandemic were extended for at least 18 months to this year April. We were open in 2020 for some time as well as in 2021 for most part with restrictions and enhanced cleaning protocols. Unfortunately, privacy laws do not allow us to contact customers that did not opt in to receive emails from us. Sincerely, Rene G.

This place is boring, expensive and there is little to do. We were really disappointed. There are only two small rides, and one of them was out of order the entire time we were there. Other than the rides, there is a small playground, which is also not very exciting.

The aquarium and the Science Centre are cheaper to visit than Legoland and way more interesting, with way more things to do!! Even an outdoor playground at the park (which is free) would be more fun. Most retail Lego stores are also more interesting.

I came here with four kids, ages: 7, 5, 3 and 1.

I hope that this place will eventually step up and be fun, as it should be, but my hopes are not high.

Hi Skye_lee, Thank you for taking the time to rate the attraction. We are sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations. We do apologize that the one ride was out of order during your time of visit, which should have been communicated to you at admissions prior to entry. Unfortunately that particular ride broke down just before the long Weekend and the replacement part did not arrive in time. The safety of our customers is our number one concern an will not be compromised. The Discovery Centre is a LEGO Themed Indoor Playground for the entire Family where they can build, Create together. We also have the two midway rides, our 4D Cinema with 4 different movies showing every day, our amazing NINJAGO Training ground as well as many stations to build. Sincerely , Rene G. General Manager
