About the operator
- Ofer B00Honest and trustable peopleThe company is very well organized and responsive. They are tolerant and listen to travelers' requests. The guides and the facilities are very good. We had a bad experience with the registration process due to a hacker that stole the deposit we have transferred. The company did not hesitate a minute and took all responsibility for that showing these people are honest and trustable. One suggestion: try to start at the northern part and end with the Jaguars in the south. If possible allow longer time than needed for the transportation. There is a lot to see on the way.
- F5626JPthomask00a trip of a lifetimeIt turns out that booking this tour truly offered us a trip of a lifetime. We couldn't recommend it more! We had the luck to be guided by Tito, our local guide for the whole trip. He put so much effort to show the variety of wildlife and the beauty of the Pantanal. On the first two days we were lucky enough to find tracks of Jaguars in sand. But that wasn't enough: on the third day we encountered two Jaguars hanging out on a forest clearing. One thing we really loved was the amount of safaris that we did during our stay, which maximized the chance to see wildlife. During several night safaris Tito spotted many interesting animals. Our personal highlight was the sighting of a Giant Anteater. Birdwatching was also absolutely amazing. Tito knows all the different songs and calls of the Birds in the Pantanal region. He made this trip unforgettable and we can highly recommend him as a guide!
- sleeguy00The best guide in the PantanalFabricio is a treasure: He comes from a family that settled in the Pantanal generations ago. He knows the wildlife--and how to find even the most elusive creatures--as well or better than expert biologists. He is kind, generous--and fun! I am a journalist who has worked in the Pantanal four times since 2010 (most recently September 2022), and I can guarantee that whether you want to get on a few day excursion or make a documentary film, Fabricio/Pantanal Safaris is who you want to go with!
- Alxeverest00Great momentsGréât expérience. These gents know their territory and the animals ! Great place. Great people. Will come back !
- Bhanu L00Excellent Agent and Guides for the Magnificent Pantanal!!!My wife and I did a private 10 day safari with Pantanal Safari's concentrating on photography and video. Herley was our guide. The whole tour was excellently planned with Fabricio and modified while on tour to maximise the experiances we required. Herley was an excellent guide and our boat driver in the sourthern pantanal, Ronaldo was excellent as well. They positioned our boat excellently, worked hard to find sightings and kept in touch with the other boats professionally. The pantanal experiance is very different to frequent safari goers to Africa and other areas. The lodges dont have the same level of professionalism and cost can be high. But the guiding and trip planning from these guys was as good as any we have been on. My wife, who is an award winning wildlife photographer thought this was one of the best tours we did for photography. The jaguar experiance was nothing but phenomenal. We highly recommend meeting the Jaguar Identification project people as well, who do sterling work there. Their book will give you an idea on what you are viewing and the conservation implications. We would like to thank Fabricio, Herley and the entire team for their excellent work. We'll be back again in the next few years!
- Inga_K_K00Just excellentJust a perfect experience. Tito is a great guide, did his best from the minute he picked me up at hotel to the last minute of tour. He’s also great to be around. I did 6 day jaguar spotting and 2 extra days to see inland animals, end July begging of August, 4 full days on river and then car drives and a hike. Let me just say that on the first day we saw 8 jaguars. After that I just stopped counting. Not just numbers but quality- jaguars hunting, with cubs, swimming over river, relaxing, courting male and female. And other animals - otters, caimans, capibaras, birds… just amazing. The big anteater escaped me, but we saw tapir, anacondas varios times, small anteater, monkeys. Amazing. Tito is really great, understanding and predicting animal behavior, taking great positions for pics. The lodges were very comfortable, with great food. Totally recommended.
- lgalaif9900Great for visitors with all levels of experience, outstanding guideFabricio and Pantanal Safaris delivered an outstanding experience! Our group had a range of experience with safaris and this trip was perfect for all of us. Thanks to Fabricio’s knowledge of the rivers, we were the only boat to see a jaguar swim across the river - an amazing and rare site that we had the privilege of witnessing because Fabricio spotted it. If any of my friends or family ever want to visit the Pantanal, I’d 100% send them to Pantanal Safaris
- 27alekhyar00Fantastic experienceI couldn't recommend this experience more. Our guide, Fabricio, was absolutely fantastic--he was super knowledgeable and was an expert at navigating the waters. He made sure we got the best views & was incredibly fun and accommodating. This was my first safari & it completely exceeded expectations. If you are planning on doing a safari in the Pantanal, it would be a mistake to not use this company!
- MikeMcGov9900ExceptionalFabricio and Pantanal Safaris made our experience in the Pantanal truly unmatched. Time and time again we had the best views of jaguar sightings, even when we were not the first boat to arrive. Fabricio knows exactly where to position the boat to get perfect views of the wildlife. Beyond that Fabricio is so kind, fun, and knowledgeable about the ecology and history of the region. I am a professional photographer and have done countless safaris around the world. I can say with conviction that Fabricio and Pantanal Safaris were some of the best safari outfitters I have ever worked with.
- Leonise v00An experience to cherish for years to comeWe were two people for the 4 night jaguar safari departing from Cuiaba airport. Tito, our guide for the next five days, picked us up at the airport on time and we set of on an adventure of a life time. Out on the boat from 6h30 in the morning, the Pantanal is beautiful, rich in bird life and holds many unexpected delights to experience. Tito looked after our every comfort (blankets for the cold drive, enough water to replenish our water bottles, sandwiches for lunch) and proved to be a canny jaguar behaviourist, anticipating what the jaguars will do - which resulted in some wonderful photo opportunities. We are from South Africa, and might never have another opportunity to see this beautiful place, but, if I ever have another chance to see it, I will grab it with both hands. It is important to note that the first and last day of the tour is driving to and from the national Park (to manage expectations), the days in between are spent on the boat :-)
- reynaldo c00Regular customerI am a nature photographer living in Cuiabá, near the Pantanal. Africa and Porto Jofre are my favorite places on Earth. I go to Porto Jofre with some frequency, in search of jaguars, and I usually use the services of Pantanal Safaris. They have equipment (boats and outboard motors) suitable for the jaguar observation, and, mainly, a team of guides with experience and knowledge about the best spots and behavior of animals. Believe me, it is not enough to be there: you need to be guided by someone who knows how to position the boat at the best angle, at the right distance, avoiding the turmoil of the other boats as much as possible, and anticipating the action of the animals. This makes all the difference. Moreover, they are honest and reliable. Fabrício, the owner, is a fifth generation of “pantaneiros” (how local people are known) who dedicates himself with love and responsibility to this activity.
- Signon00Great company. Fantastic experienceWe did a trip with Pantanal Safaris and it was one of the most incredible experiences we’ve ever had. When we finished our trip we actually booked straight away to do another one the year after but unfortunately Covid made us cancel. As soon as we can we will be back. Fabricio was really helpful & I am very fussy because I am a wildlife photographer so I try & choose a great operator. Looking forward to going again - hopefully soon
- martinkE3383BZ00Outstanding place, amazing tourI did a 13 days private tour with Pantanal Safaris. All my wishes were integrated in the itinerary. Fabricio did a great job in preparation and managing everything. I got his guide Tito and he was amazing too. Both have a huge experience and they know all important and remote places in the Pantanal area. Including the journey were also 6 full days on the boat to spot Jaguars. It was a big success at all.
- wpohley00Trip of a lifetimeWe did the 16-day Pantanal trip with Pantanal Safaris and were impressed with all the lodges and the overall experience. Fabricio tailored the trip to our interest in birds and photography and made some adjustments to the basic itinerary. Our guide Tito knew all the properties very well and spoke with the guides at the properties to find out what was active at the time we were visiting. The 16 days enabled us to work our way down the Transpantanal Highway to Porto Joffre and then back up to Cuiaba. Everything was handled so we could concentrate on the experience. All the lodges were very nice and the food was exceptional. In addition to many bird species we witnessed jaguars capture caiman, mother jaguars with cubs, giant river otters, giant anteater and most of the iconic Pantanal species. Every tour is different but the exciting part of this type of trip is that you never know each day what exciting things you will see. In terms of photography this trip is highly productive for both quality and quantity of subjects and situations. I highly recommend Fabricio, Pantanal Safaris, and all their excellent guides and drivers.
- k_greg1200Amazing ExperienceWe did a 5 day jaguar safari and it was amazing. It went beyond my expectations. There were only 2 of us. Everything was provided, pick up from airport, lodging, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had 4 full days on the boat and saw a total of 21 jaguars, 17 different ones. Tito was an amazing safari guide and very knowledgeable and excited to see the jaguars as well which made it fun. We saw so many animals! The food at the lodge was amazing. There was only internet in the lobby, but it was fine for 5 days. There were a ton of bugs in our room but that is to be expected considering where we were. Overall, one of the best trips every and I would highly recommend!

My partner and I took this wonderful tour with Tito in February and we loved it. Everything was perfect, from the first email to the drop off at the airport. We stayed at Pousada Piuval 2 nights and we’re able to see a lot of birds and mammals, including the famous jaguars (not one but TWO!). The Pantanal nature is mesmerizing, the people very friendly. However, I have to say that the star of our trip was our guide TiTo who with his sharp eyes helped us to see all those amazing animals. We’re already planning to come back for a longer trip with these guys.

Hello-I would be interested in the 3-days-tour. I could be arriving in Cuiaba on the 27th in the afternoon and have to fly back to São Paulo on the 30th late afternoon. Would there be a possibility to join in for the tour? Thank you very much, with kind regards Elisabeth

I am planning on being in Sao Paulo from the 21st of Nov for work and want to take a few days off to join this tour as I am an avid wildlife photographer myself. But, I want to make sure it is worth the effort as I understand November is the wet season and may not be advisable. I travel to Brazil at least once a year and will come back in the dry season if that is a better option. What would you suggest?
