About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- kurtt2250 contributionsOne Valley Trip. Advise avoiding weekends. We took a tour with a private driver to the Atlas Mountains. The private driver was an advantage for us, as we were able to decide which things to do and/or skip. Stops along the way included a Berber-owned pottery shop with a working potter/wheel, kiln and wares to buy. We also stopped at a Berber home, which was quite interesting to see (e.g., kitchen, living quarters, sauna, laundry sink and board, living room, bedroom, storage room, barley grinding wheel, how they made butter). We skipped a carpet shop in part because of lack of time and we did not think we wanted a carpet, but that was probably also missing out on seeing the skills going into making them. We had a nice tagine lunch at the Chez Bimou restaurant in the Setti Fatma area along the rapids/waterfalls, which is quite scenic. We skipped the hike as the water level was low and my wife is having knee arthritis issues. Hint: Be sure to take enough fresh cash in case you see thing(s) you want although **know prices** in Marrakech before negotiating here as some are high, no torn bills, not even slightly torn/worn on the edges…they want them crisp (they refused to take my $20 which had a torn corner)! We’d also strongly advise not going on a Friday or weekend, as we had quite a bit of traffic that slowed things down and resulted in us skipping some things.Written May 5, 2024

- Richard S0 contributionsPicturesqueNice sight seeing the snow capped mountains. Most of the mountains are brown since they had had much snow the last 3 years. Most of the highway thru the mountains is under construction.Written March 2, 2023

- Steve V0 contributionsWell worth Escaping Marrakech forWe took a day trip with a private guide. The scenery was truly amazing and the air so fresh. We met local villagers living remotely in the mountains all of whom were so friendly. If you have the time please take the opportunity to escape the smog and noise of Marrakech and see the real Morocco.Written April 1, 2022
- robert h0 contributionsAtlas mountain day trip.Booked this before we left ireland and all further communication was done through e-mails, we went to Djemaa El Fna (square of the dead) at 7.15am as requested pick up was slightly later mabye 10 or 15 mins a mini bus arrived and we and the other people got onboard , some people had already been picked up at other points, we headed out of Marrakech and drove for about 40 mins where we stopped at a service station for people to use the loos , smoke or have a coffee, after this we travelled for another few hours until we reached the mountains and greated by our berber guide Yousef and the walking commenced , top tip, trainers are a must for comfort and grip as you will not be walking on level footpaths but a dusty stoney hilly terrain, all the while you will hear the history from your guide of both the location and berber peoples history , you will stop in a local village to experience the sights and sounds , after another short walk you will come to a high vantage point where the view of the water falls is beautiful , take some photos , have a drink and rest for 20mins or so for the final trek to the falls themselves, once there you can elect to cross the water by boat for a few euro of skip across the stepping stones , we had a lunch here and spent an hour or so at the falls , the ascent was nearly all steps uphill and truth be told the hike took it out of my 56 year old legs but if your reasonably fit and take your time its no problem , we stopped off to feed and get pics of the monkeys that roam the slopes, short hop then back to the minibus and the journey back to marrakech, long old trip there and back but definately one to tick off the bucket list....Written July 7, 2020
- Ed C0 contributionsAn enjoyable road trip through the High Atlas Mountains on N9Our tour drove from Marrakech to Ouarzazate over the High Atlas Mountains on route N9. There had been a light snowfall the night before our trip. As a result the scenery was magnificent. The north side of the mountains were basically green, but after crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass they turned brown due to being in the rain shadow of the mountains.Written April 18, 2020
- tiredandtested0 contributionsworth the climb! We had a private day trip organised through our hotel to Imlil. From there we climbed up the valley to a waterfall, then down to the lush valley floor, before going up the other side, though a couple of tiny villages to a lunch destination with fabulous views and excellent food.Written March 10, 2020
- AsifakaAk0 contributionsAn Unforgettable Experience! As a first time visitor to Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains were one of the excursions my group and I were very keen to experience. The booking and arrangements were really straightforward. We were told to meet our driver Mustafa at a certain meeting point and then from there we were taken on a very enjoyable route to the mountains with several stops along the way. Upon reaching the mountains, we were greeted by the absolutely amazing Ibrahim who was our tour guide for the 3hr treck we went on. Ibrahim was very patient, kind and engaging who made our experience one which we would not forget. As a local villager who lived in the mountain area, he was very familiar with all the other tour guides and most importantly, he knew his stuff! As we were walking past his house, he even introduced us to his wonderful family which was really nice. If you are thinking of booking this excursion then rest assured you will definitely enjoy it! Also, if you are fortunate enough to have Mustafa and Ibrahim guiding you then you will be in very good hands!! Thank you Ibrahim and Mustafa for an amazing excursion experience!Written February 3, 2020
- Andydjp0 contributionsIncredible sceneryWe travelled through the mountains on our way back to Marrakech from the south. Great scenery and views which vary and kept us enthralled throughout our journey. Wonderful mountains where we could happlily have spent more time.Written January 5, 2020
- Vallin M0 contributionsBreathtaking views of the Atlas MountainsWe went to the Atlas Mountains by 4 by 4 vehicle and learnt about the geography and history of the country. We also had a chance to interact with local people and taste some authentic Moroccan cuisine. There were children begging as we made various stops along the way. Try and experience the verdant valley where argon oil is made. With lunch, tour and demonstration of how the oil is extracted and used for cooking, perfume etc it costs approximately £55 per person.Written November 23, 2019
- Chan C0 contributionsday trip from MarrakechA few hours drive away and you are by the Atlas mountain region. Great scenery on the way. The road was good and is winding. You can visit Berber village, waterfall, etc. Well worth a visit.Written November 10, 2019

Plötzliche und nicht verabredete Übergabe an einen Führer, der nachher separat abrechnen wollte zu einem plötzlich willkürlichen Preis. Diesen nachträglichen Verhandlungsstress kann man sich wirklich ersparen.
