- 58LEW580 contributionsSafe, on time and interesting transfers and toursWe used Mautourco for our airport and hotel transfers and they were always on time, polite and friendly We had a one day tour to the “wild south” and were collected by Raggoo who was full of information about the area, plants history and religions. We were very well looked after all day and learned a lot about Mauritius that we found very interesting. Raggoo drove carefully and pointed out many new things to us including the red pineapples!Written October 2, 2024
- LucyJHanson940 contributionsFantastic tour of the South westWe took the full day wild south tour in a private car. It was absolutely fantastic and we would highly recommend it - we seemed to fit so much into the day and saw so much of Mauritius but it didn’t feel rushed. We visited the volcano, Hindu temple, waterfall, 7 coloured earth and rum distillery (and more!). Vick our driver and tour guide was excellent- he was so knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we had a really fun and enjoyable day out! Mauritius is absolutely beautiful, the food provided on the trip was nice in a restaurant with outstanding views!Written October 1, 2024
- fieldmouse780 contributionsIle Aux Aigrettes, Biscuit Factory and lunch. Day long private tour.We had a private excursion arranged via Kuoni to visit Ile Aux Aigrettes, the biscuit factory and lunch. Firstly the standard of Mautourco driver/guides is top notch. Our guide for this day was Vikash. An engaging, funny, warm and hugely knowledgable guy. Telling jokes is hard, when you’re doing it in a non-native language it becomes even more impressive. To have him taking us from place to place made the long day well worth it. At Ile Aux Aigrettes we had a transfer over to the island and the most fascinating tour and view of the work the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation are doing to protect and develop the endemic species. We were really lucky to spot Fodys, Pink Pigeons, Olive White Eye, Giant Tortoises, Skinks and a whole host of other animals. It was a privilege to witness this first hand and if you’re interested in nature this is a must. From there we visited THE traditional Mauritian biscuit factory, made from cassava. A really nice stop and of course a chance to then buy a whole load as presents. Finally we stopped at a small restaurant (Karay Mario) to enjoy a Mauritian lunch. If you have the chance Karay Mario is lovely place to stop. Tired, full and a little sleepy Vikash then whisked us back to the north of the island. A lovely day just topped off by having such a lovely guide. He’s a real gem. Definitely book with Mautourco.Written September 26, 2024
- R5459QKandyn0 contributionsException CompanyThe main representative we dealt with called Avila was one of the nicest people we have met in our lives to date. Found the whole experience and interaction with this company a real pleasure. Jayne our transfer driver was such a nice person and extremely careful driver. The boat trip we went on was the best ever. Denis and Bradley two of nicest guys we came across on our visit. 5 Stars all the way and thank you for making our stay the best.Written September 22, 2024
- S8872FMdavidc0 contributionsA great day out improved by a very knowledgeable gentlemanWhat a fantastic day out made much better by our driver/guide Ragoo. This is the second time that we have been with him, he appears to know everything there is to know about Mauritius and he appears to want to let you have his knowledge. Ragoo is very knowledgeable about where we were and where we were going. We visited the sugar museum, a shopping centre, the Aquarium and the Botanical gardens. His usual restaurant was closed and so we went to Beni in Pamplemousse. The food and the service was brilliant and for local food I thought equaled the hotel food. Finally I would recommend Ragoo and if you are lucky enough to get him you are guaranteed an excellent day out.Written August 17, 2024
- F2044ATrossb0 contributionsTrips around Mauritius with RaggooWe had 3 trips with Mautourco, for all of these trips we had Raggoo. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable about everything we did. We wanted a true sense of Mauritius and he gave this experience to us which we really enjoyed and appreciated. He was very punctual and friendly. We could not recommend this company and our tour guide Raggoo enough!Written August 11, 2024
- DHE150 contributionsNorth & South Island ToursTwo tours booked with Mautourco during our holiday to Mauritius. Michele, our rep at Victoria Beachcomber, was extremely professional, cheerful and helpful, and answered all our many questions. Our tour guide for both days (such an excellent first day we requested him the second day), Mohamed, was absolutely brilliant, and showed us as much as he could of the island during our North and South tours, using his local knowledge to give us a more 'authentic' view of the island. He took the time to explain the history and culture of the island, and not just the tourist side of things. Our drivers to and from the airport, Thierry and Kam, were also really friendly, and the quality of the vehicles used by this company was extremely high. Many thanks for making our holiday so memorable.Written August 4, 2024
- clareb6630 contributionsJaved was the star of the showMy mum and I had a great time on this trip with our guide, Javed. His English was exemplary and he didn’t laugh at my feeble attempts at French! He offered us the opportunity to alter the itinerary slightly, to avoid the traffic, which we appreciated. All stops were enjoyable, especially to see the animals at the Botanical Gardens.Written July 25, 2024
- G8434AFannam0 contributionsHighly recommend! We did 2 private guided tours using this company. We did the historic tour of the sugar cane factory, botanical gardens and the city.. The second tour was swimming with dolphins and Casela (quad biking around the mountains) The activities and tours were lots of fun and very well organised with excellent guides....espeically Soopaya. We learnt so much from you so thank you! Thank you so much for giving us the best experience!!!Written July 22, 2024

- Dream655201754470 contributionsWalk up La Morne, Great views but physically challenging. The tour guide Yudish was fantastic, such a friendly, funny guy. He picked us up on time for our guided tour of La Morne Mountain. We were a family of three and met another two tourists for the tour. Yudish was fantastic, enthusiastic, engaging and knowledgeable. The walk is rugged and physically challenging. The only reason I've given 4 stars is that I think more detail could be given about how tough the walk is, especially as you reach half way and have to do some near vertical climbs. This walk shows you the true beauty of this country but you do need sturdy shoes, trainers are possible but they need good grips and walking shoes would be better. If you are scared of heights it's not ideal and you may need to stop and wait until the others finish the climb, which we did. This could mean an hours wait. Take plenty of water and something to keep you warm if it's a windy day. But it is beautiful .Written June 30, 2024
- 765ellisj0 contributionsAmazing company for an amazing part of the worldCannot recommend MaurtourCo highly enough, especially if it’s your first time to Mauritius and you’re not sure what’s around. We were celebrating our honeymoon and split our journey between the North and South of the island, and MTC were amazing throughout both legs of our stay. Our reps Sheela and Mikaela were incredibly helpful and accommodating; knowing it was our first time to the island, they gave us some local advice and excellent tips to ensure we got the most out of our time. They were constantly in communication with us so that we had no worries and knew exactly what was going on at all times, even when the weather meant plans had to change. We booked a number of excursions through them and all of them went beyond our expectations: West coast speed boat ride, snorkelling and dolphin spotting, with Cpt Julian and Denny - both guys were friendly, chatty and gave us pointers and choices throughout our time with them that just made the experience. East coast speed boat tour, which included Creole BBQ, snorkelling and drinks on the beach, led by Charla. Also an amazing time - everybody visiting the island should ensure they make time for this experience. Historical tour of the north coast, including Port Louis and the botanical garden, with our private guide Ragoo, who was so knowledgable and had so much to teach us about the island and its people and culture - we learned loads and had a fantastic experience. And all of these incredible excursions and experiences were very reasonably priced, reliably and locally run, and were led by fantastic guides. Please don’t change anything MaurTourCo, you’re doing great as you are!Written June 21, 2024
- Roam671547983320 contributionsOur speedboat experience to Bénitier Island was a lovely experienceThe crew on the boat were excellent, we saw dolphins on the way and snorkelled near the beautiful unspoilt island, where lunch was served (all fantastic). Overall it was well worth the trip. However, when we were booking we specifically asked for a trip that wouldn’t mean we were on a coach for too long (we figured 30 mins maximum). Be aware that with Mauritian traffic this journey took over 2 hours there and 1.45 back. The coach suspension also squeaked so badly it drove us nuts! We would have looked for a different excursion if we known any of this when booking.Written May 18, 2024
- T9859UBwilliamp0 contributionsGreat day with knowledgeable driver!A wonderful day spent with our knowledgable driver, Daani. Interesting and informative with spectacular sites - the Botanical Gardens and L’Aventure du Sucre were amazing. Highly recommended! Our guide and the vehicle were good but the tour itself very lacklustre. I am afraid it felt like following the crowd and paying to be driven to vendors really.
The first 2 stops were just to see people who tried to sell you ornaments and silk which was'nt really what we signed up for.
The volcano crater is very underwhelming and its incredibly busy meaning its really not much fun at all.
The hindu temples are pretty tatty but that was quite interesting seeing them.
The viewpoint over the valley was nice but again massively busy and you just join a queue. When we drove back past it on the way home there was less than half the number of vehicles there so why not see it on the way back maybe?
The coloured sand and tortoises are nice enough but only a few minutes.
The restaurant for lunch had stunning views and nice food. Guess its not so much fun if the weathers bad but it was good at least to start with so that was nice.
Then on the way back yet another stop off at a clothes shop to try and sell us polo shirts. Sorry but to be told we are going to a traditional high end clothing factory and then to be taken to that place just annoyed me.
Shame as its a pretty island but I just felt like you spent the whole day queueing and trying to be sold stuff you didnt want.

Mautourco was the agent that provided our airport transfers for our break in late December 2021. We also booked 2 private tours with them. The cars were clean and well maintained. The driver guides were always on time and they were friendly and knowledgeable, so was the rep that met us at the hotel. Overall prompt, efficient and quality

Our tour guide Ragoo was absolutely incredible. He provided us with an excellent tour of Mauritius. He went above and beyond to squeeze in as much as he could into our tour. His knowledge of the country's history, landscape, vegetation, and culture was mind-blowing. He also has excellent driving skills. He really made us fall in love with Mauritius. Thank you Ragoo!

The tour included all the things we wanted plus our guide made it clear we could stop along the way if there was anything else.
Our guide, Raggu, was so well informed he could answer all our questions and shared with us everything we wanted to know about the history of Mauritias, the places we were visiting and the flora and fauna along the way.
He really went the extra mile and we had a brilliant day because of it. He made sure we got a great table at the lunch restaurant and talked to the waiting staff as well as the the people at each place. In particular he took a great deal of care making sure we understood the rituals and importance of the temple and statues. This was the highlight of our day.
We could just be lucky but we keep meeting wonderful humans - but Raggu’s expertise and enthusiasm was inspiring!

We added this as part of our transfer between La Residence and Lakaz Chamarel. and were not disapponted. we expected a minibus or to share with others but we had our own vehicle and guide. He was so niformative about the history, culture and nature of the region. We visited the Grand Bassin and learned so much about the Hindu culture and the "seven coloured earth" is so unusual.

We booked two privately guided tours at Mautourco that exceeded all our expectations. Our driver SATYAM was not only extremely friendly and professional, but also spoke excellent German, which made communication and understanding of all the details and explanations extremely easy.
The tours themselves were excellently organized – from the first moment to the last detail. Satyam took us to the most interesting places and gave us an incredible amount of informative and exciting insights that we would never have discovered on our own.
You can feel that there is a lot of experience here. Every stop was perfectly timed, we never felt like we were being rushed, and could fully enjoy the time. Our individual wishes and questions have also always been addressed flexibly and with great care.
For anyone looking for a professional yet personal and informative tour, I can highly recommend this provider. A big thank you for this unforgettable experience!

It has been a few weeks since we returned to normal after an excellent wedding trip to Mauritius. We had some problems at the airports with Flights, but the friendliness and attention of Mautourco staff made us soon forget the bad experience with the airline.
First of all Magaly was very attentive and detailed with the offer of the different excursions. He understood very well that we wanted to combine rest and excursions to live good adventures on the island.
We made three excursions, two private: one to the South, temples, Chamarel, seven colors... another to Port Louis and the botanical garden of Pamplemousse, We also made a fun outing with the catamaran to Ile aux Cerfs.
And what to say about Kattia, pure life, who made us feel with her knowledge and sympathy that we discovered very special secrets in each of the visits. For a few days we feel like Mauritiusans more than travelers. Something that's not easy to come by. We included taxi drivers, good drivers and who also made us feel very safe.
At all times we had the feeling of having very friendly and attentive professionals watching over us.
Thank you so much!

Good morning,
just a little message to thank everyone at Mautourco who helped us have a great vacation on Mauritius.
first of all we would like to thank Vila who represents Mautourco at the Beachcomber Mauricia Hotel who allowed us to see all the must-see attractions of the island (the wild south, swimming with dolphins, deer island, Chamarel, visit to the rum factory, discovery of Port Louis, the Pamplemousse garden, the Vaniile house, the tea factory...)
we would also like to particularly thank Damien the pilot of the speed boat from the One Love company who introduced us to Ile aux Cerfs, as well as Stefano and Stena who made us live a dream by swimming with the dolphins, all these people have especially took care of our son who didn't want to swim.
And finally we would like to warmly thank Soupayah who was our driver guide on two outings and who is an inexhaustible source of history and legend of the island... in short, the assurance of sublime discovery and real moments of humor.
If you are thinking about taking guided tours with Mautourco, don't hesitate for a second to ask, you will definitely have an unforgettable day!!!

We took the wild south excursion. We had the chance to visit splendid places with exceptional guides. Our driver Kamlesh was a real guide in the beginning of our excursion. She is a good listener who taught us a lot about Mauritian culture. We then joined Clarel who was a perfect guide, who explained and answered all the questions. Sharing personal experiences is also very enriching. All the places dazzled us and it was a very good experience. Our driver Kamlesh also took us to a magnificent spot to see Le Morne with a superb beach. An infinite thank you to these two people who made our excursion an unforgettable moment!
