      Central Park tour
We had a great tour of Central Park with Meredith on our recent trip to Manhattan. She took us to all the famous landmarks in the park and gave us lots of history about Central Park. She also recommended several restaurants and future tours we could do with her next time we come back! Highly recommend Meredith & Cititrek!

Jewish culture for the novice, Cititrek in Manhattan
Our tour guide Claudia was very personable and informative on our “Kosher Style Food” walking tour of the upper west end of Manhattan. Claudia took time to call a couple of days before the tour to ensure we knew where to meet her. The food she introduced us to was very tasty. We had a very enjoyable time.

      Couldn’t have been better...
Our trip to NYC was my wife’s first visit to the City. Meredith made sure my wife saw all the famous landmarks she wanted and everything in between. I got to learn a lot history at the same time. We got the scoop on the best places to eat and even a subway refresher course! We were immediately at ease and walked the city as friends. The trip could not have been better, due in large part to Meredith and Cititrek’s helpful and friendly tours.

Feeling at home in a different state!!
My boyfriend and I booked a last minute trip to New York and came across a pub crawl in St George on Staten Island. Meredith was amazing! We are from New Orleans, Louisiana and she made us feel right at home. She did not skip a beat! We got to see a great part of Staten Island while enjoying some beers and pizza. She was very welcoming and shared some of New York's greatest history along with some funny stories she had herself. We loved her so much that we had her give us another tour of Chinatown and Little Italy! I don't know how we would have navigated through New York without her. As soon as we go back she is the first person on our list to see!

      New York off piste
We wanted a tour starting at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal and ending at JFK. The brief was to do something different having seen the sights of Manhattan before. We were able to discuss this in advance and Meredith and Claudia put together a tour of Brooklyn and surrounds. This turns out to have been great. We were picked up at the cruise terminal stowed our luggage in the vehicle and set off for an extremely interesting tour. Meredith knows her history! Between her and driver Tim, the whole day was more like a tour with old friends wishing to show off their city and their pride in it. Top this off with satisfying our craving for a pastrami sandwich lunch of the quality you just cannot get in UK and the day was complete. We were delivered to the airport in good time and all in all had a very enjoyable day - so different from an organised bus tour.

Excellent field trip with experienced guides!
I took 100 middle school students on a tour of Harlem with the help of CitiTrek. Meredith was hands on and did all of the planning. In fact, when I discussed our unit, she knew the exact trip to plan for us. She linked everything with our unit of study. I would not want to plan a field trip any other way. Both Meredith and Claudia were super helpful and knowledgeable. My students learned so much about Harlem and New York City in general. They adapted the tour to the needs of my students, booked us beautiful buses, provided snacks, and detailed hand outs. I'm looking forward to future tours with Citi Trek!

      Amazing, Affordable, and super Helpful!
I was trying to plan a college trip for 15 high school students to Princeton University. Citi trek was super helpful in making sure that we had a bus scheduled even though the trip had been planned very last minute, Claudia made sure we had transportation available. I would definitely recommend Cititrek to anyone!

A really personal experience from a great guide
We took the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour with Claudia as our guide in mid-September 2015 and it was excellent. Claudia's knowledge of the whole of New York City is absolutely amazing and it meant that we didn't just learn about things on the tour but so much more about Manhattan/Queens/Brooklyn/Staten Island/Bronx etc. Many walking tours of NYC use actors or people who have learnt from a script - this is not the case with Cititrek as their guides are genuine New Yorkers who really know their stuff and bring the whole area alive. Cititrek although Staten Island based do so many other tours, some not on the normal tourist trail, which means you can find out about areas of NYC you didn't know existed. I have visited NYC so many times and I want to look for something different from the usual tourist sites and having taken this tour I would happily use Cititrek again. The Chelsea/MP tour is a gentle stroll through a very interesting area in Manhattan starting at the famous (or infamous) Chelsea Hotel - it is as undergoing renovation when writing this report so has scaffolding around the frontage) and finishing near the new Whitney Museum and the start of one end of the Highline. If you do the tour in spring, summer or early autumn and the weather forecast is good before you meet up for the start of the tour pick up a picnic from Garden of Eden Deli on W23rd (fabulous sandwiches/cheeses and fruit) about 300 yards from the Chelsea Hotel towards Ave of the Americas and at the end of the tour sit on the many seats on the Highline and enjoy people watching. Claudia is a credit to the organisation and if you take one of their tours I hope you get her as your guide.

My parents, husband, and I took the two hour private walking tour of the north shore of Staten Island with our guide, Claudia. It was a beautiful day and Claudia took us around the ferry area and a big circle around the major areas of that part of the island. She knew up to date information about happenings in the area and also the historical comings and goings of Staten Island. She was an educated and wonderful guide.
