- evicat20250 contributionsAmazing experienceI had an amazing experience on the semi-private tour in Santorini! The smaller group made it feel much more personal, and we got to explore some of the most beautiful spots without the crowds. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the tour even more enjoyable. Watching the sunset in Oia was absolutely breathtaking! Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a more intimate way to experience Santorini.Written February 23, 2025
- Fillop680 contributionsNice tour!Panos was the perfect guide. He was patient, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The walk was very enjoyable. At first, it seemed daunting to walk so far, but the time went quickly. There was a lot to see on the way, and Panos was excellent in pointing out the interesting things . The trail was a bit steep and slippery in places, so care was needed. I would highly recommend this tour.Written October 18, 2024
- megfifi0 contributionsA must see glimpse into the pastAs an archaeologist this site was a dream come true. It is beautifully preserved and very accessible with the walkways. The site was brought to life by our impressive guide Georgia. I highly recommend a visit and to organise a guided tour if you can. Pick up and drop off was well organisedWritten October 3, 2024
- Lovehawaii4ever0 contributionsBREATHTAKING VIEWS!It is a breathtaking walk! The views are incredible. There are areas that are a bit challenging. Some steep inclines and soft gravel. Def not for someone who is not cardiovascularly fit. You get to see an area of Santorini that is not tarnished by the cruiseship masses. Totally recommend!Written September 24, 2024

- JulesbSouthLondon0 contributionsHighlight of SantoriniWe really enjoyed our hike from Fira to Oia. It took us just under 3 hours with a 5 year and a 7 year old who managed it well. The walk was beautiful and well worth doing. I would recommend taking a picnic to eat along the way if you set off late morning like we did.Written November 13, 2023
- grammieg0 contributionsBeautiful SantoriniWe took a tour on a flexible schedule of Santorini. The tour was exceptional and our guide (Lee for short) was wonderful. Our visit to Oia was wonderful and we experienced the monastery, the windmills and of course the blue domed churches.Written November 5, 2023
- sodowml0 contributionsAmazing Ancient City - Must seeThis is an amazing archaeological site and will someday be a UNESCO site. They only have 5% of the site uncovered, and that is not enough to qualify for UNESCO. The town is from 7000 BC and was abandoned right before the island of Santorini exploded. They used barter (instead of money) to trade and lived in 4 story homes. They also had running water and toilets! These are some of the oldest toilets that have been found. The roof collapsed over this dig a couple years ago, but it has all been rebuilt and is in great shape. The roof over it protects what they have uncovered from the elements so that it will not be destroyed. There is a raised walkway around the dig. It is a very easy walk and someone that is mobility challenge would be fine at this site. We went with a guide, and I would highly recommend to do that as well as that way you really get the story of this ancient civilization. If you are going to Santorini this should not be missed. The bus stops at the site.Written October 2, 2023

If today you don't feel like doing the usual beach life and want something different, well, Santorini Wine Museum is the perfect alternative.
An exhibition itinerary that tells the story of the two Koutsoyannopoulos brothers, the first to start the cultivation of vines in Santorini and to produce wine there, with all the difficulties of the case: from the unsuitable lava soil to the crops, up to the strong wind that breaks through and destroys the plants.
The museum is full of vintage objects, historical reconstructions with self-propelled automata, large explanatory plates in English: audio guides are also available.
At the end, there is an "experience".
The tasting of some local wines produced by the descendants of the Koutsoyannopoulos brothers, with presentation and explanation provided by a sommelier and accompaniment of canapés.
About two hours is the average length of the visit, really interesting and also fun, with the chance to learn something new (for example, the particular technique used on the island to remove the vine plants from the harsh winds) and to drink two or three glasses of good wine!

Visited this wine museum as something to do for a short period one afternoon. We took the bronze package which was about €21pp. The museum was sweet and gave you the history of wine making on the island. The wine tasting was very informative and this whole experience wasn't a pressured thing to buy or tip.
