About the operator
- sanju_22232300lake George: 32 miles long, 187 ft deep, and ranging from one to three miles wideA terrific way to see and experience Lake George, also known as The Queen of American Lakes, is by water. Thomas Jefferson was awe-struck by the lake, saying in May 1791, “Lake George is without comparison, the most beautiful water I ever saw.” lake George: 32 miles long, 187 ft deep, and ranging from one to three miles wide, there is much to enjoy. Surrounded by mountains, it is home to 170 islands. got to know The Lake George Steamboat Company has been sailing on Lake George since 1817. That’s 2 centuries, woww!! It has three ships that offer cruises ranging from the 1-hour cruise to 4 -6 hours. The authentic steam-powered paddlewheel boat- Minnie-Ha-Ha, whose name means “laughing waters,” offers a one-hour cruise. It takes guests on a tour of the Southern end of Lake George. In season, guests enjoy an hour-long adventure back in time to experience a sense of what it was like to cruise the lake over 100 years ago on an authentic paddlewheel boat. this tour offered sporadic narration throughout the tour instead of a contrast narration for just portions of the trip. One positive of this is that things along the route were pointed out as we passed them, which gave me a better idea of what I was seeing. Once the boat is nearly back at the dock, the captain turns on the boat’s Calliope. Powered by steam from the engines, this musical instrument is really neat to hear. I would suggest, sitting on the right side, it will allow you to be on the shoreside. The narration and beautiful views continue on this side of the lake as the boat heads back to its dock in town. All told this hour-long tour covers around 5 miles of beautiful Lake George. it was the 4th of July time and they had fireworks cruise on Thursday evenings in July and August. the other 2 cruises are The Mohican & The largest ship on the lake, the Lac du Saint Sacrament. Ticket: $22 Per person. Parking: across the road, $2/Hour.
- Escape0109971641400Pleasant evening cruiseDinner cruise aboard the Lac du Saint Sacrement. Very entertaining music, good food, a nice family outing.
- SagarSavla00Minne ha ha one hour cruiseWe did the Minne Ha ha one hour cruise on 4th July weekend. The cost of the cruise is economical. The cruise is a rain or shine. It was a cloudy day when we did the cruise. Get in line at least 30 minutes before the cruise if you want a seat of your choice. Parking opp to the cruise terminal is 25$. You get 10$ back if you show cruise ticket. Overall cruise was decent. The shop was decently clean. The ship captain was narrating stories and giving lots of information. After 20-30 minutes we stopped listening. Cruise had snacks, drinks etc on board for sale.
- Melissa B00Lovely dinner cruise on all countsWe booked the dinner cruise and the food and service both exceeded our expectations. Buffet-style dinner included salad, pasta, fish, chicken and roast beef at the carving station. Dessert also served. Drinks/cocktails were also offered for an extra charge. We (4 of us) all enjoyed our meal very much, and the live music was very entertaining. The weather was delightful and we enjoyed speaking to the captain and having him answer our questions about Lake George and the boat as we sat up top to enjoy the lake views after dinner. Very enjoyable evening. Highly recommend.
- LuigiNewJersey00Lac du Saint Sacrement luncheon tripWe took the luncheon cruise on the Lac du Saint Sacrement on a beautiful Spring day. The boat is very well kept and the views are spectacular. The food, though, was quite ordinary, with a below-average salad bar and a choice of just three hot dishes. If I were to go again, I'd just do the tour and skip the luncheon.
- Jack S00Great way to see Lake George!I highly recommend taking the Steamboat. It is a great way to explore the lake. You see the best views and it is usually not too crowded. It is worth your time and money!
- Sandra133600Loved this cruise.I had a great, enjoyable time taking this 2 hours Boat Tour in beautiful Lake George. We sat outside to enjoy the gorgeous views. Plenty of space where to sit, inside or outside. They also serve brunch if you want to. Drinks too. The band they had playing was really good. I enjoyed all the songs they played. Plenty of space where to leave your car outside in the parking area. Good service.
- A3779YXchriso00Wonderful fall cruiseWe had a great time taking a early afternoon cruise. The fall foliage was beautiful all be it chilly. They have plenty of enclosed space were we went to warm up form time to time. The tour we took was guided to give you some insight along the way which also was great. They also have a snack and drink area on the cruise as well.
- Connecticut81400Lovely time!We had a lovely one hour tour on the Mini Ha Ha! I have done this tour a number of times over the years and it is always a delight. One hour is just the right amount of time to relax and see the area. The gentleman who narrates the tour has been doing this for years and does a great job. I would highly suggest this to anyone in the area!
- 57Lulu00Minne-Ha-Ha One Hour CruiseWe were fortunate to find parking and a ticket for the 3:30 cruise at the last minute. It was Sunday so the area was crowded. We sat outside on the upper deck but could not see the other side of the boat. Nice view of the Adirondack Mountains. The narrator did drone on about the history around development of the lake on the tour. This is really not a kids cruise because you just sit in your chair and listen. A lot of small children had trouble with it and were bored or crying. Get in line early if you want a choice of seat near the edge.
- Christina K00Nice trip!We took the brunch cruise and enjoyed the food and service. It was a little confusing that it was labeled as a Champagne Brunch cruise but the Mimosa I ordered was extra and I thought it was covered. Servers were generally friendly and helpful although bartender was cleaning her nails during tour. Tour was informative and provided nice views of Lake George. I was with an elderly person with limited mobility and the Handicapped Parking was very convenient to the boat entry. Ramps were easy to manage for people with canes, walkers and wheelchairs. Boat has an elevator to different decks if needed. I would recommend this cruise!
- Alberto M00Toot Toot on the Minne Ha Ha AgainIt was "deja vu all over again" when we took our children, spouses, grandchildren on the Minne Ha Ha, reprising our experience of 35 years ago! We all loved every minute of it! What a great experience to hear that toot toot again. Don't miss it if you're in Lake George environs.
- jlas32700Mini-Haha 1 hour cruiseThis is one of those have to do activities but manage your expectations. It's great to sit up top of the Mini-Haha but then don't expect to hear the narration clearly over the breathing of the steam engine. We went on the 10am boat trip on a weekday so I think we avoided the usual crowded situation. It's also much much easier to park right near there when you go then.
- ELIZABETHW15000Nice to be out on the water! We took the 2.5 hour boat tour around the lake. Really nice to see the sights from the water and get a little history. Beautiful day for a boat ride!
- jimd134700TERRIBLEWe took the evening cruise and were more than unhappy. The food was TERRIBLE. I have better Italian food out of a can. They should be ashamed of the crap they give out on this boat. NEVER AGAIN STAY AWAY

We booked this for our first wedding anniversary dinner. It sounded like a lovely experience. It was prime rib night. We were not impressed. It would be nice as a sunset seeing cruise without the dinner. The boat has separate decks each with having its own buffet. We were on the first deck and our buffet area was in a much smaller space then the decks above. Instead of calling tables one by one they told everyone to go to the buffet when they were ready which resulted in a long line. Then, instead of having the prime rib carving station in a different area, they had it at the end of the buffet line with all the sauces crammed into a corner. It appeared the carver of the prime rib was very young and inexperienced. There was an older woman watching him who kept telling him he wasn't cutting it right which stalled the line even more. My husband and I had to wait quite awhile holding a hot plate of food and a salad plate while waiting for our prime rib. In the meantime, wait staff was weaving through a very small area to change out the pans of food. It was also very hot in this small space. By the time my husband and I got back to our table we were dripping with sweat and our food was cold. After waiting for the prime rib it was not good and so we hardly ate anything. The alcoholic drinks were extra $$ and just so-so. Our waiter was also young and didn't clear my plates after dinner even though they were stacked up. He cleared my husband's, but mine were stuck in front of me until after dessert when I had to ask him to take them away. Then, when we were on the dance floor he cleaned off all of our glasses, drinks we paid for and water glasses! The entertainment was just so-so with a strong representation of Whitney Houston songs. The dance floor was sticky and my shoes kept sticking too it. Will never take this dinner cruise again and won't recommend to anyone. Save your money on dinner and ride the Minnie Ha Ha.

The booking and tkt staff amazing, boat was clean, wait staff and bar great!!! The food ewww not so much!!! My husband’s birthday dinner, he had fun though so I’m glad but I’d much rather taken him to a nice restaurant. Fish very dry, chicken piccata no flavor, potatoes super dried out! The captain and band were really nice. Considering the pandemic we are in I think the staff did an amazing job. They gave us a personal cake for husbands birthday it was a nice touch!!

We did a dinner cruise, and it was fun! We had a reserved table and could get on board and begin eating an hour or so before the cruise time. Service was good, and the food was OK...unfortunately, it was buffet and ended up being lukewarm at best which I think affected its quality. But the views were amazing, there was live music and some entertaining info along the way, and we got to see a beautiful sunset...so all in all, a fun experience.

First off get there early! we went on the fourth of July and there was no parking left! Had to have another family member come back to hotel for us! Its probably like that on major weekends or holidays. When you get onboard early you can start eating sooner also. Food was pretty good. Fish and salad dishes were very good. With the dinner cruise you could chose sit down or buffet all you can eat which is more expensive. The boat is well kept, clean, and safe. the music was rocking, and they played music for all ages. The kids really enjoyed the conga line around the boat! The singers were good as well. Be sure to sit outside for awhile and listen to the captains tails of the area.

My lady friend enjoyed the cruise, service and food so very much. Unfortunately when she came back to her car her purse and lunch was missing. I think she forgot to lock her car.

My family as I we were on vacation in Lake George. We went on the Adirondack steamboat night cruise and we were we happy that we did. It was an amazing experience and something that we considered to be very reasonable. We went with a family of five and all of his cost about $250. For this price, we had access to an all-you-can-eat buffet and the food was good and certainly enough of it for all of us. The 2 1/2 hour cruise was simply amazing as we cruised around Lake George. Then to top it all off there was fireworks that also seemed to last a long time and were simply amazing.
Truthfully, it may have been the best value for our money that I spent the entire time in Lake George. Not only do we get dinner for five, but we were on a cruise ship for two hour and a half hours and saw the fireworks. It was truly a memorable evening.

It was a nice experience. The food was decent and served buffet style. The staff was friendly and courteous. The views were amazing. Sunset was beautiful. There was entertainment provided as well as a dance floor. They played a good mix of music, only issue was that it was a notch to loud. Not so loud as to hurt your ears, but it did make having a conversation difficult, while enjoying the meal.

I’m so glad our party of 5 did this dinner cruise. The one bummer was that you have to get actual tickets to board. Ordered online and you have to go to the ticket booth before boarding. I had planned on going earlier to get tickets, but didn’t fit it in. We had plenty of time, so it’s not like we were late or anything, just a bit of a line, and it was for various boat tours, and a little confusing which line to wait on. And very close to the very busy street. But now that I know the procedure, I would definitely recommend going earlier in the day and just get the tickets when it’s not so busy. Once you got the tickets, they start boarding 5:30pm. They take your party’s photo, that you can purchase after you depart. $30 for 1 or $40 for the package. As soon as you are seated, you can begin your way to the buffet. Salad bar with typical fare. You can also start the dinner buffet and going up again and again. Food was good, my group didn’t care for the fish, but the chicken, pasta and roast beef carving station were all good. You have a waiter they will take your credit card (if you want) and then order your drinks. Sodas and coffee, and tea are in included, bar drinks are extra. I didn’t feel the alcohol was very strong, but drinks were tasty. Live music was good, and also narrated some things outside as we cruised along the lake. They had cute little dance contests, or trivia, with local restaurant coupons as prizes. Views were beautiful, and cruise was smooth. You can go up top outside and enjoy the breeze and views. Inside is climate controlled.

We had an amazing time at this dinner cruise. We bought our tickets Saturday afternoon for Sunday night since Saturday was sold out. Thank God we were still there so reserve ahead of time. I asked the lady what time should we be here she said 5;30, that’s when they board. The cruise was 6:30-8;30pm. We had to pay $15 for parking but you get $5 back I guess that ok since parking is limited in lake George. We boarded at 5:30 and after we sat down we were told we can start going to the buffet. We loved our seats, window view on the 2nd level. The shop left at 6:30, we walked around all levels and took great pictures. One of the highlights was the live entertainment, great singer and the mc has people dancing and laughing. Beautiful sunset and lots of picture opportunities. We got back around 8:45, so for $57 for 3 hours worth the price. Didn’t get a full 5 starts because we thought about getting there closer to 6-6:30, good thing we didn’t because the buffet closes at 7:15, should be open longer in my opinion, and maybe more dessert choices than one piece of cake.

Hi, I posted a pic of all of us. The ladies all wore nice light summer dresses. and the men in the group button down short sleeve shirts and shorts. Everyone else on the boat looked about the same. Have fun.
