About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- AussieREWADS0 contributionsA glimpse into Central MexicoWe did a 6 day trip of Central Mexico and stayed at Queretaro and travelled to San Miguel and Bernal. Highlights of the 3 places. Queretaro - visit the historic centre and enjoy the vibe on a Friday night or weekend whe. The main square is buzzing. San Miguel De Allende - a little over an hours drive from Queretaro. Lots of history, great views, a lovely insight into the Spanish influence in Mexico. I recommend you take a guided tour with a man authorised tour guide which you will find just outside the cathedral in the main square. This is a must if you do not speak Spanish and would like to understand the history and culture of the area. Pena De Bernal - a beautiful place less then an hour from Queretaro which is highlighted by the worlds third largest monolith. Great views, great eating joints and don’t forget the Michelada’s. Also the cheapest place to buy all you gifts, souvenirs and other stuff.Written September 27, 2024
- jnp10030 contributionsIncredible tour of 3 Pueblo MagicosAlex is the most knowledgeable person i have met regarding the historical facts of Mexican history. He was able to describe the influences of religious and political leaders of the times. In addition he has the ability to share his deep understanding of the architectural elements of the towns and churches and gives insight to the hierarchical structure of the Catholic church of the time. It was an incredible day.Written August 8, 2024

My friends and I are very grateful for this deep emersion in story telling by our guide, Alejandro. He is a walking wikipedia of history, architecture, culture, gastronomy and it extends beyond just Queretaro city to include the impact of other nearby towns. As we walk around the town and he points out occurrences in the buildings our imagination was vividly engaged. I know this tour should be about 4 hours, but we were so engaged we did 5+ hours as we kept discovering more and more information. Alejandro’s passion for all that Mexico represents was evident. I even had questions the next day and he promptly gave us more suggestions by phone. He is fluent in Spanish and English and other languages. He adds a flair of accents when sharing historical characters! I will be sure to engage again for more towns.

This was our third tour with Alejandro -
1. La Redondo Vineyard and San Sebastián Bernal
2. Querétaro Centro
3. El Pueblito (El Cerrito), Cerro de las Campanas and San Vincente Ferrer
He has an amazing knowledge about Mexican history - he is a kind of walking encyclopedia. Alejandro has a great sense of humor and he even could keep my children busy and interested. He speaks an excellent English and I can highly recommend him for any kind of tours. Thanks Alejandro for sharing your knowledge with us.

My husband and I had the most informative and entertaining 3 + hours this morning learning about Mexico and Queretero history from Alex our tour guide. Sometimes when on a tour your mind wanders, but not so with Alex. His knowledge and story telling abilities are first class. When he told us he does a little acting on the side I thought "of course you do." That's how he makes it so interesting. We highly recommend this tour with
Alex.

Alex can easily be one of my favorite tour guides: knowledgeable, great story teller and customizes his trip based on what the customers want. We got a great overview of the history of Queretaro. Great tour, highly recommend!

If you were looking for a comprehensive tour of the town by someone with a love for history and talent as a story teller look no further: Alejandro Villar will give you what you need!
The guide was both impressively knowledgeable (he could answer even our most ignorant questions 😛) and had a subtle sense of humor when explaining.
