Ubud day trip experience with Gede

Our driver/tour guide, Gede, was absolutely amazing! He was waiting at the hotel pickup first thing in the morning with a couple of waters ready for us incase we forgot, during the day he was talkative and fun, telling us stories about himself and the culture. He explained every question we had and was fantastic at giving us space/time if we wanted. He also helped translating and even getting us a better deal on our currency exchange. He also planned the day so we did the busiest tourist attractions at quieter times to avoid the crowds. He let us choose how we wanted the day to run and how long to spend at each place.

During the day we went to the beautiful waterfall(IDR20,000 pp), Gede took literally 100 photos making sure we did lots of poses and had perfect lighting. It was very entertaining and extremely appreciated.

Then we went and visited a Hindu temple (IDR 30,000pp) where he explained the religion and the history of the temple as well as feeding the koi fish.

As an extra we asked to see some of the silver shops in Ubud and he took us to a little shop to have a look around.

Then we went to the coffee plantation (free) and tried about 12 different coffees and teas, there was the special animal coffee that was IDR 50,000 per cup. The coffees and teas were amazing and well worth the try.

Then we visited the monkey Forest (IDR 80,000 pp). You can also get the rangers to take private photos of you with the monkeys for IDR 50,000 for either 1 person or 1 couple.
The monkeys were very funny but also cheeky so you should leave any food and valuables that you can’t hide behind in the car as the monkeys can and will climb on you and take things.

Then we did a beautiful photo shoot at “Bali happy swing” (IDR 300,000 pp all inclusive package with the dress and 11 locations). This is well worth it for any couples or friends wanting cute or romantic photos.
The staff at the happy swing were funny and entertaining and made the photo shoot feel more natural and spontaneous with genuine smiles all around.

Then we went to green terrace restaurant a little place with a beautiful view over the rice paddy and you can see the flying fox and flying bicycle from the deck. The food was delicious and around IDR 60,000 - 70,000 per main meal.

Overall it was an amazing day and would recommend to anyone go wants to experience Bali culture and some Bali experiences.

Friendly guide and extensive tour of Ubud

Nice drive from hotel to all the tourist spots in Ubud.

Our host Wayan kept us entertained throughout the journey and helped us purchase tickets for the Ubud swing, Monkey Forest, Batuan Temple and Waterfall.

All of these entry tickets are not included in the price and you have to pay extra. The Ubud swing is the costliest at 30USD per person. There is a nice poolside bar at the waterfall called Omma which is good for a refreshing drink. Though there is a cover charge for a table, you can sit at the bar with just a drink to enjoy the views.

Wayan was knowledgeable about local areas and culture and accompanies us everywhere in the tour.
Nice and friendly guide and host.
The car was clean and air conditioning worked well. The pick up was on time and the host called us before hand and contacted through WhatsApp also.

All in all good trip. The pickup is at 8/8.30 AM to beat the typical rush hour and lines at the ticket counters and tour ends at approx 3 PM depending on your pick-up / drop location. We were picked up and dropped from our hotel in Ubud. If the location doesn't appear in the drop down, you can manually put in the name of hotel and address for pick up spot.

Excellent Tour and Guide!!!
We had an amazing trip with Gung Wah!!!! He not only drove us to the destinations listed in the itinerary but also went with us to all of them gave great details and also took amazing photos. He went ahead and helped us get the tickets, held our spot in the queue as needed. He is very knowledgeable, polite, efficient, and has great time management skills. He knew the perfect spots to take pictures and took all our pictures. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking to see all the points of interest in Ubud.

Fantastic Ubud tour

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience with Smile Bali Tours. Our tour guide was Adhi and he reached way beyond our expectations for the Ubud tour. He made us feel very comfortable and welcome. It was raining heavily yet he was able to structure the most convenient itinerary for us throughout the day whilst also giving us plenty of recommendations of where to go. Adhi was the best guide we could possibly have asked for, he was very knowledgeable in all aspects and mostly cared that we were having the best experience possible. Always patient and willing to take photos for us, being the best photographer/videographer.

We highly recommend having Adhi as your tour guide!

Ubud sightseeing with Legi

Our driver Legi was exceptional as was the day itself from pick up at 8am to drop off back at Maya Ubud at 630pm. So many great activities throughout the day beginning with the waterfall. Legi then asked if we would like to stop off at local Lewak Coffee plantation, this was great too and much cheaper to buy tea and coffee from.than some.of the other places we had already been. Next stop was Monkey Forest - Legi told.us about the free WiFi here and we kept in touch via WhatsApp so was there waiting for us upon exit. Monkey Forest was fantastic. Lunch stop before rice terraces and swings followed by the highlight of the day at the water temple.
Legi is a great guide and would highly recommend to anyone considering this trip whilst they are in Bali.

Must Do Experience in Ubud!

This is the perfect way to see the best places from Ubud in one day! Our guide Legi picked us up from the hotel and directly asked us where to go first, so there was no strict plan, we were very flexible during the tour. He also proposed additional ideas and spend almost 10 hours with us, with is insane for this small price. He was very funny, which created a nice atmosphere. We were at the temple, at the rice terrace (with using the swing, you can rent the long dress right there), at a Restaurant which was recommended by Legi, at the monkey forest and at the end at the waterfall. It was a very long day and we were really exhausted afterwards, but it was so worth it. Also to add: You have to pay the entries by yourself, so take some cash with you!

Wah helping Smile Bali Tours put a smile on my face.

Smile Bali tour, really put a smile on my face. We booked them for a day’s tour. They were very responsive when i contacted them and on that day we met Wah, a great guide, but I’ll like to say he’s a friend to me now. Very knowledgeable, fluent in English, helpful, kind and polite. He brought us around all day and helped us tweak our itinerary when needed when we wanted to drop some locations from the package. He was basically like our second skin, guiding us all the way and when we wanted to take gorgeous pictures, he will carry all our bags and turn into a photographer too. The best guide I’ve ever had all my life. He even gives you tips on how to haggle before your shopping trip. To Wah, thank you for everything. To Smile Bali Tour, keep up the good work and I’ll like to believe all your guides are like Wah, you and Wah have really set a high standard for tour guides.

Great trip
We had a great day-trip with our guide Dana to Ubud. He picked us up on time at our hotel. At first we visited the temple Pura Puseh Desa Batuan. Dana told us a lot about the temple and the religion. After that we went to the waterfall. It was really beautiful, but due to the rain we were not able to swim there. Our next stop was the Monkey Forest, which was definitely the highlight for us. We took a “monkey selfie” there (extra 50k per person, but definitely worth it). Because we had already seen a coffee plantation on another trip, Dana was so kind to change the route and stop at a wood carving shop instead. It was great to see how the people there made various pieces of art out of wood.
We enjoyed the trip very much and definitely recommend it.

Great Day out !!!
We had an excellent time with our Guide ‘Adhi’, he was helpful and always willing to answer any questions we had. He was also happy to take us to the wood carving village and silver village so that we could see the process. Best Guide we have had during our time in Bali. The day is great value for money as places you visit are all very affordable to get in to.

Unforgettable experience in Ubud!!!!
Yesterday we had an amazing experience in Ubud with our tour guide Wha, despite weather conditions Wha made the most of it! He took us to the art village, where we understood more about the culture and way of living in Bali, we personally enjoyed more the wood carve spot. He was amazing! All the time asking us questions to see how we where doing, thirsty, hungry, what were our hobbies and passions to fit the itinerary to our preferences. Really interesting chatting with him! We would definitely make an other trip with him!!!
