Self-guided smartphone walking tour of historic Benson Park. This one-mile tour is narrated by John T. Benson, the original owner of "Benson's Wild Animal Farm", which first opened in 1924. The tour includes the Gorilla House where Tony the gorilla lived, the A-Frame picnic area, Amphitheatre, Swan Lake with fish, turtles & birds, the Butterfly Garden, the Old Shoe on Storybook Hill, the Benson Park Store & Gift Shop, and the 9-11 Memorial. We recommend that you download the WalkNTour App onto your phone prior to arriving at the park. Android phone use -https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.app.walkntours&hl=en_US&gl=US; Apple phone use https://apps.apple.com/us/app/walkntours/id1457662600; Once you take the tour, you own it and can take the tour as many times as you like and you can share it with a friend for free!

Started listening and wanted to finish the next day. Apparently once yo start the tour you have to finish it. Was tricky signing up. Ended up paying twice for the tour and never got to hear the whole thing.

this is the old Benson's wild animal farm that the town and great volunteer, turned in a good place to walk and enjoy. they have a dog park and playground for kids. also picnic areas. they have a beautiful 9-11 memorial that is an absolute must see. my husband and i take our dog for a walk here mostly every day. they have bench's, some in the sun and shade so your and sit and enjoy the park. i cant say enough good things about the park

We're sorry to hear that you had a negative tour experience. You'll receive a refund ASAP. The tour runs on GPS signals so it is important to start the tour at the Red Kiosk at the Park's Main Entrance. It will play only music if it your phone can't pickup the GPS signal.

I learned a lot. I recommend it! I walked with my spouse, muttering out random facts as we walked along.

Great place to visit for 1/2 day! We packed a lunch and took the self guided walking tour. It was so fun walking through the past and my childhood.

The narration of "John T. Benson" through the beautiful Benson Park was a peaceful and educational experience. Although Benson Wild Animal Farm is not on the grounds anymore this tour gives you a sense of what did exist.
