Guides were awesome and very safety orientated, made you feel very comfortable while you were up their, definitely worth the price

Best place to learn either of the sports in this part of the country. Staff is very good and your safety is their main interest.

Learned to fly Paramotors here and the team was great. Friendly knowledgeable and good teachers. That have also built a nice community of pilots so there is often something to do even if the weather is not in your favor.

John, Heath and Dave are the heart of Hang-glider / Paraglider and Power para glider training. Incredibly knowledgeable, excited about what they do, and they motivate with positive feedback and repetitive training. I am always impressed by how much they pay attention to each student. Very accommodating, yet refuse to allow a pilot trainee unnecessary risk. Thanks Dad! (LOL) Now, If Morningside could control the weather. . .

We went hang gliding, zip lining and stayed at the Castle and cabins. Everyone was incredibly nice and professional. Rob and Thor were quick favorites of our kids making the tours even more memorable. The cabins are rustic but clean. You just can’t beat the views. Can’t wait to go back. Far exceeded our expectations just wish we had booked the cabins longer.

My wife and I decided to pursue our P1 paragliding licenses together. We had both been exposed to solo flights in a few parts of the world and decided we wanted a structured experience with an emphasis on safety. After the P1 I proceeded to the P2. Heath (manager/instructor) and Johnny (instructor) are both top notch. They seem to have all seeing eyes (yes they both noticed the mistake you made even though they may be on another part of the hill with other students) and an acute knowledge of the weather in that flight park. The focus on safety is evident from day 1 by way of a 45 minute weather and meteorology briefing. You never just show up and fly because they say it's good, they very specifically make a point to show you the method to the madness of trying to interpret all the available weather resources. (My last day of the P2 course included the same 45 minutes of weather discussion). After the weather/meteorology lesson you get geared up and sent out to the respective spot on the property based on your level in the program. There are days when there are tons of students all over the property. There will also be days when it's a small handful and you're getting very personalized instruction. Keep this in mind as you are scheduling lessons coupled with the fickle weather. You will rarely get 1:1 instruction based on the finite number of instructors, weather window, and student interest. There are good lessons to be learned from the experiences of other students though and it's good for the sport to have increasing interest/demand. They have tons of gear for students to use which is a critical benefit for those planning to buy their own gear at some point. I went through every harness they have to find the model that was most comfortable for example. I also bought a full setup through the school based on tested models and their expert advice. I found the prices to be very reasonable and not dramatically different from what you might find online, but the value of their advice coupled with the opportunity to try out different models made it a no brainer to buy through them. They can also service your gear in the future. I highly recommend this flight school for those who want a structured learning program from start to finish.

Great location, great staff and knowledgeable instructors!! Felt safe for the first time flying!!! Not to mention, the view was spectacular, especially at sunset!

There are truly kind people out there. I was in a jam for my event this weekend and I called Morningside: A Kitty Hawk Kites Flight Park to see if they would rent me some harnesses for a big event Sunday. Not only were they able to accommodate me but they chalked it up to one professional service doing another a favor and refused pay..... If nothing else in this world, be good to everyone, friends, family, strangers etc.... It always comes back around.... In the meantime, give their page a like and definitely stop in if you are in the area!

The staff at Morningside is awesome. They taught me to hang glide, aero-tow and zip line. And the manager, Heath, fixed a raised fret on my banjo for a couple Red Bulls.

I brought my daughter here for her 14th birthday for an Introductory hang gliding lesson. It was something she always wanted to do and Morningside did not disappoint. Safety was very important to us and the professionalism and care that her instructor, Sterling, provided was very comforting and made it very fun for my daughter. We're from CT and it was totally doable as a day trip. We will definitely be coming back.

A great school --- Instructors were patient and encouraging --- gradually building skills at each student's pace, never compromising safety or tempting needless risk. Perfect for a weekend getaway. My partner and I came to Morningside for college weekend to take advantage of the tandem hang gliding flights for a great price. We stayed in "the castle" which is a little cabin structure on the top of the wooded hill with no electricity or running water, but with a fantastic view and a considerable amount of charm. Bring your own candles and a water jug! It was like camping but with the comforts of a bedroom. The hang gliding experience was less of an adrenaline filled excursion than I had anticipated. Instead, I was filled with an idyllic sense of peace in the short moments where I was suspended in the air, catching an updraft of wind or slicing through the air with an incredible view of our little castle and the valley below. Would definitely recommend for all ages.

If you want to learn to fly the world's slowest flying aircraft I highly recommend this place. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. They are very committed to ensuring you have a safe time while learning to fly.
