- mooose20200 contributionsGreat, Well planned, informative TourGreat experience. Highly recommend this Tour. We had a couple stragglers upon Hotel pick-up, which hurt the group in the end I like how it was well planned and accounted for time before the Hoover Dam Tour to experience numerous picture-esque stops. It could've been 20 mins longer is all if everyone was on time. Our Driver was Robyn. She was great with facts and stories along the way. Very accommodating with an assortment of drinks and snacks I was hesitant at first going on a group tour and mainly on a schedule. This Company has changed my perspective and look forward to a Grand Canyon Tour in the FutureWritten December 8, 2024

It was great that we chose this private tour as its a small passenger van, you will not feel uncomfortable like those big tour buses. The fried chicken burger from Page was fantastic thumbs up!!! Justin is very helpful very knowledgeable answers all our questions and had very good recommendations for food and drinks... the pick up was at the left exit/entrance next to Sports Book area in Paris Hotel. Lower Antelope Canyon was really a wonder very awesome place we took a lot of photos, the canyon guide Ms Janelle is very good in taking photo for us!! love the whole trip!!!Written December 5, 2024
- michael390 contributionsStunning Lower antelope canyon tourFantastic tour to Lower Antelope Canyon with James and Max Tours. James was a 5 star driver: friendly, great driver, played good tunes. Max Tours supplied unlimited water, drinks, snacks and lunch. The star was the stunning Lower Antelope Canyon your. This has been on my wife’s bucket list for years. We are in our early 70’s and had no problems climbing down & up the 5 flights of stairs to view the canyon. Highly recommend.Written December 3, 2024
- Terry C0 contributionsHoover Dam: From Above - On Top - And Below. Don’t miss this opportunity of a lifetime! We had visited Vegas a few times before, but we always spent our time on the strip and old Vegas. This time we planned to visit the Hoover Dam. After reading all the online reviews we decided on Max Tours. They did not disappoint on our “Hoover Dam: From Above - On Top - And Below” tour. At the start, we were greeted with a friendly smile from Scott our tour guide. The Transit vehicle was new and extremely clean. Scott arrived about 10 minutes before our departure time, which immediately put us at ease for a day of excitement. The van was loaded with plenty of water and snacks. During the entire 40 minute drive to the Dam, Scott shared valuable information about Vegas and the surrounding area. We stopped at a few places along the way with amazing views, where Scott was truly glad to snap as many photos as needed. The walk along the top of the Dam was unbelievable. While the touring the generators/turbines was magical. So, in summary my wife and I highly recommend that you take this tour with Max Tours, if the Hoover Dam is on your bucket list. Thanks again Scott (and Max Tours) for the terrific day! 5/5Written December 2, 2024

My friends and I are so happy that we booked this tour! We are only in Vegas for a few days and decided we wanted to do something a little different and spend some time away from the strip/casinos. We booked this day tour and had the best time! Our tour guide Jerrod/Jared was fantastic! He was engaging, knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly, and accommodating! He kept the entire drive interesting because of all the random facts - whether it was related to the sites or just what was on the road. He accounted for the extreme heatwave and modified the tour a little bit just so we would be able to enjoy the Grand Canyon more. He also took us to a few additional stops that weren't listed on the itinerary - Joshua Tree Forest, Hemenway Park (sheep park) to see the big horn sheep (so cool!), and this neighborhood to see various landscaping and a few saguaro cactuses (pretty cool to see how big they really are!). All in all, it was a great way to spend the entire day. Definitely recommend you to be prepared with sunscreen, hat, sunglassee, and insulated bottle to keep your water cold when you're out and about. We highly recommend Max Tours and Jerrod/Jared to anyone!

It was a great 12 hour experience for me and my wife getting to see the Las Vegas sign, an artistic rock installment, the Hoover Dam, and the west side of the Grand Canyon. Thomas was a great tour guide, very funny too! The unlimited snacks and drinks was a huge plus, especially since Nevada and Arizona was super dry for me being from the east coast. I was able to drink plenty of water throughout the day thankfully. They make a few rest stops along the way as well in case you want to get extra food yourself or use the restroom. The views were amazing, we luckily took this tour when there was very little wind at the Canyon and it was overall good weather, clear skies and not too hot. At the Canyon, I probably shouldn’t have spent extra for the Sky Walk, since I didn’t know that you couldn’t bring cellphones or cameras on it to take pictures. They have their own photographs there on the skywalk where you have to pay extra for pictures. But it was still an amazing view, and especially crazy looking thousands of feet down down through the glass I was walking on. Guano point was much better for pictures and views that Eagle point, which in contrast is mostly roped off. But the food, gift shop, Skywalk, and other little things were at Eagle Point. Overall I’d definitely recommend this trip, it was a great value for a 12 hour tour through 4 great sites, two of which being wonders of the world.

We had an amazing day and so pleased that we chose to book the experience with Max Tours . Originally we had been looking at helicopter tours from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon but after some research we decided on the longer bus tour stopping at the Hoover Dam & Seven Magic Mountains. Although initially slightly apprehensive about the duration and early start we messaged the day before with questions which were answered promptly and reassured us . The minute we met our fantastic tour guide ( at 6:10am in the Aria car park ! ) our minds were put at ease . Thomas made the day so special with all his knowledge, attention to detail , pointing out interesting views and local information and of course the complimentary snacks and cold drinks were a very welcome and unexpected bonus . The day went really quickly, the van made regular stops a long the route and we even had a brilliant soundtrack playing - little details like U2 playing as we were driving past all the Joshua Trees !
Walking across the Hoover Dam he explained so much about the construction and the history it was really spectacular. We paid to do the skywalk on the West Rim and the views were breath taking , there was so much to see and take in ,the time flew by .
Thomas kept checking everyone in our tour was ok , he took some wonderful photos for us and we had the bonus of no one else at the early morning Vegas sign. Extra touches like phone chargers in the van , pick up & drop offs at your hotel were much appreciated. We even made it back in time for a 8pm show !!
Thank you for a day we won’t forget

We had an incredible day trip with Matthew (owner of Max Tours) and our 4 kids (ages 7-12). I highly recommend this company. Tour size was extremely small (capped at 10 people total). Sprinter type van was comfortable, plenty of room, outlets to charge devices, free WiFi and plenty of snacks and drinks. We felt very safe with his driving and he is an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. Max Tour was such a wonderful (and efficient) way to see Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon West and several other sites along the way. We were picked up directly from our hotel at 7am and dropped back off around 6:30pm same day. Max Tour is very well run and they have the trip down so that you beat the crowds by arriving to Hoover Dam early enough and he knew where all the best pictures were to take along the way. Thank you so much for an experience we will remember for years! We all had a blast!

The tour company had a well-organized itinerary and pick up was right on time. The transportation was a little tight, but comfortable. There was more then enough drinks and snacks throughout the whold trip. We were offered plenty of bathroom stops/shopping. Our guide Ruebin was really great pointing out interesting sights and facts and he was very personalble. 7 Magic Mountain was just a quirky road side stop to view an art project of stacked rocks. It was stop for a picture under the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Hoover Dam was interesting. Having visited the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, I felt s little let-down by the West Rim with a one-dimensional view and poorly maintained trails for visitors. I would not recommend paying extra for the Skywalk. Our group waited in line for an hour just to get in the door for a one minute walk out onto the glass walkway. Be aware that you are not allowed to take any personal items out on the Skywalk with you including your phone or camera. You are offered to wait in yet another line to have photos taken that you can purchase. Overall I liked the tour company/guide, but it was a very long day at just over 12 hours.

Thank you for joining us on tour and for your valuable feedback. We are so happy to hear that Ruben did a great job as your guide. We do try and be as transparent as possible about how long the day is (7 am to 8 pm as listed on our website) and what is included in the tour. The three rims of the Grand Canyon are very different, and we encourage everyone to learn a little about them before choosing which tour is best for them. We have a blog post on our website about this very topic and are always available for a phone call or email. When it comes to the SkyWalk, some people say it was one of the best experiences of their life, while others agree with you. It is definitely a personal choice which is why it is an optional add-on. Once again, thank you for choosing MaxTour and we wish you safe travels!

An awesome experience. I researched many tour companies before choosing this one and felt they offered the best options/value. Things like the number of sites visited, the food/drinks provided (a very nice snack assortment), and picking us up at our hotel - not only certain hotels - all went into the decision. We never want to go on a bus tour again - this VIP experience is the way to go. Our guide, Thomas (selfie he took with us attached), was very professional and knowledgeable. With the small group, he was able to give us each personal attention, especially helping us get great pictures (He even handled well the "curve ball" I threw at him of bringing an actual camera rather than just a cell phone!). The company worked with us on a couple special requests. We highly recommend this company and this specific tour. Looking forward to trying another one of their tours on our next trip to Las Vegas!

We did our tour with Cruz in April. He was great - so friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He was very funny as well! I would definitely recommend this tour and company as you get to see a lot of the staple nature tours in the Nevada/Arizona area and with Cruz it was even better than we could’ve hoped. You get ample time to take pics and explore. There are lunch stops and rest stops throughout the tour. Cruz went above and beyond to enhance the experience from the text the night before confirming the time and location of pickup with a picture for clarity, to help with the picking best spots for pictures. The van was clean, filled with snacks and beverages and well ventilated with A/C. 100/10 rating.

We would highly recommend Max Tours for a Grand Canyon visit from Las Vegas - every aspect was excellent. Comfortable coach with snacks, a perfect amount of time at the stops and rest breaks and the highlight being our incredibly knowledgeable and friendly tour guide Thomas. He created a great atmosphere on the coach with lots of stories, facts and information, not just about the sites we visited but also about interesting things and places that we passed by en route and Las Vegas in general (passing by Dolan Springs was an unexpected highlight). He also took brilliant photos of us on our phones/cameras and knew the best angles, shots etc to get at each location which enhance the memories of the day.
Worth noting there was another Max Tour coach on our route and their driver seemed really friendly too.
With only 12 people on the coach rather than 50 odd on a big one you get more value from your guide and far less queuing a photo sites and canyon access. Worth paying the difference for.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

This was an incredible tour and very well organized. Our tour guide, Phil, was pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable of the areas and sites we toured. He did an exceptional job to make sure we were comfortable during the day long tour by providing plenty of cold beverages, snacks, and bathroom breaks. We had ample time at each of the tour sites to explore and take photos. Phil was eager help everyone with their pictures, take photos of you and your party, and provide historical background on the site. This is a very very well planned tour and highly recommend you request Phil as your guide.

Grand canyon and Hoover Dam were items on our bucket list and we saw them both. Highlight for us was the skywalk. It was mind-blowing! However, be prepared for a very long wait for skywalk. Recommend bringing your own food and make it something you can eat while standing in line to save some time. Our driver Jose made the trip very enjoyable. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to serve his clients. Hooray for Jose! Trip is definitely the highlight of our trip to Vegas.

Hola Adriana.

You'll be able to buy tickets when you get there, but it will be more efficient to purchase it with the tour package if you have your mind set on it. But in my opinion, the Skywalk is not worth the price. You're better off having lunch upstairs in the restaurant, and asking for a table along the window, overlooking the Skywalk. That way, you will be able to use your phone and take photos of the Skywalk and the canyon without paying a hefty price.

What time does the tour return? Could we make an 8:00 show?
Written June 6, 2022
I recall getting back around 6:30-7pm, so an 8pm dinner reservation or show would be cutting it too close. We were also pretty tired after the day trip, so I agree with the other respondents.
