- 610emilym0 contributionsGreat trip to Lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Elaine, best tour guide I ever had.Elaine is a great tour guide and we are so lucky to have her! This trip is one of the best I ever had. I’ll definitely book other Max Tour trips for sure. We took plenty of photos at Lower Antelope Canyon and it is just amazing! The Horseshoe Bend was beautiful and I will never forget it. The long drive wasn’t difficult at all as we made quite a few stops for bathroom. Elaine always made sure we have enough water, snacks, and everyone is comfortable. It is such a fun day and totally worth it! Thanks to Elaine and Max Tour!Written March 14, 2025

- carlyw10 contributionsAmazing experienceOutstanding tour from start to finish! Robyn was wonderful, she gave us loads of facts and fun info on the bus from place to place and had lots of in depth knowledge about the Dam, seven magic mountains and the Bridge. She was super helpful taking photos, keeping us hydrated and with plenty of snacks. She also stopped off in Boulder City so we could view the wild curly horned goats up close! Fantastic value for money, I'd definitely recommend doing this tour if you're staying in Vegas! (And don't forget to tip your guide!)Written March 14, 2025

- Teri08_080 contributionsBreathtaking and fun day trip from Vegas. Unparalleled views! My friend and I went on the Small Group Lower Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend Tour with Lunch excursion offered by MaxTour on March 7, 2025. Our fantastic guide was Cash. What an experience! The whole day was amazing. It's a long drive but Cash had a fantastic playlist in the van, and often told us interesting information about the areas we were passing by. He stopped frequently for bathroom breaks. I loved how he stressed the importance of punctuality so we could make the most of our time. We had such a great group. Everyone was helping everyone else out with taking photos and navigating some of the trickier terrain. What breathtaking views! I don't know what I expected but Lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend are not to be missed! If you are planning a trip to Vegas I highly recommend that you take this day trip. You will NOT be disappointed. And...your friends & family will be so jealous of all of the breathtaking photos you share with them. And, Cash was fantastic about making sure you found all the best places to take photos & he even took many of them so you could be in them with your partner/friends....Take this trip!Written March 11, 2025

My friend and I had a fantastic time on this tour. Luis was our guide and he was really great. He communicated extremely well at all times and spoke loud enough and clear enough that I could hear him in spite having a hearing loss.
The trip was very enjoyable and there were plenty of stops along the way for bathroom breaks and opportunity to stretch our legs. Luis was great in explaining what we would experience ahead of time so we had no confusion as to where we were going and how much time we had at each stop. He was very informative and gave us an interesting history of Hoover Dam especially. I felt a thorough understanding of what the workers experienced while working on the dam. Many lost their lives. I had a deep respect for the dam and those who helped to construct it.
We made a bonus stop at the Joshua Tree Forest and I enjoyed that very much. Luis was informative about how the tree got its name and where we could purchase seeds to grow our own.
Guano Point on the West side of the Grand Canyon was by far my favorite stop. There were Breath taking views where ever you looked. Luis especially advised us to be safe and use common sense while at this stop. He also stressed that this was Native American land and to be particularly respectful of the land.
Last stop before heading back was the Sky Walk. Luis as always was very clear about where to go and how much time we had before leaving. I particularly was not impressed with the Sky Walk. It would have been more enjoyable if photographers were not blocking the traffic. Those of us who decided not to pay $50 plus to have our photos taken just wanted to enjoy the view and it was difficult trying to get around the four or five photographers who were busy with those who wanted photos. The view was spectacular in spite of it all. I saw a lot of birds trying to take rest in the cracks and crevices because it was getting closer to the end of the day. I saw a clear view of the Colorado River from the Sky Walk.
Luis was ready with the van at 4:00pm
The trip back was relaxing. We had one bathroom break between the Canyon and our hotel which was perfect.
We got back to the hotel earlier than expected. It was a full day but well worth it. I’m thankful that we had such a good guide to make the trip so enjoyable.

Our tour guide Johnny was amazing - fun , knowledgeable, and happy to take pictures at the photo stops. He is very good at his job. Unlimited drinks and snacks were provided.
The van is a nice tall van and set up with each row having its own trash bin which was emptied regularly. If you are a larger person the seats aren’t very comfortable . If you are tall there is plenty of leg room in the van which was nice - beats the big tour buses with the seats crammed so close together.
The only downside side was we ended up with 4 smokers in our group so every stop the air quality suffered. Thankful it wasn’t weed at least but hated having to be in that. Johnny was good about keeping the air recycling after we made a discreet request.
Hoover Dam was amazing and the Grand Canyon was awesome inspiring- pictures do not do it justice. Those were our 2 favorite stops . Magic mountains - we failed to see the magic but it was a short stop.
TIPS:
Skip the Skywalk as it was not worth the money. They do not let you take your cameras and phones on the Skywalk as they want you to buy the pictures they take. The glass reflected the sky too as it’s not polarized so if it’s sunny you really can’t see through the floor anyway.
If you want Grand Canyon souvenirs get them at the very first stop which is the check in stop. The Skywalk / Eagles View had mostly tribal and Skywalk stuff.
If you have a larger person in your group ask for the front passenger seat.
It’s a lot of hours of driving so you’ll want to be more comfortable if you can. (It was a 12 hour day.) if you can’t get the front seat, get the window seat behind the driver as it doesn’t have to e awkward bump out some of the other window seats have. You probably don’t want an end seat unless you don’t mind part of you falling off the edge.

We visited Las Vegas for the first time this year and did the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Seven Magic Mountain tour with MaxTour and this was honestly, the best decision we could have made! The booking process was really simple and the instructions for the day/pick up times was all communicated really well by the company.
Mac was our tour guide for the day and he is the loveliest man - he was so friendly and approachable! He is very knowledgeable about the city, all the sites we went to and all the surrounding areas so he made the tour all the more interesting. Plus, he was very happy to play photographer and take as many photos as you wished!
We weren't able to see the Welcome to Las Vegas sign as part of the tour, due to road work issues on the day but Mac made up for this and took us to a couple of alternate spots - which included the Lake Mead Overlook and the Joshua Tree National Park which was great to see. Unlimited drinks and snacks are included as part of the trip, which was really helpful as we found the temperatures quite warm and there were lots of rest stops along the way (so plenty of opportunities to go to the bathroom if needed). The timings were really flexible on the day as well, you were never made to feel rushed and we could have spent as long as we wanted at each of the sites - Mac was really happy to let us all take our time.
We're hoping to return to Las Vegas next year and I would definitely book with MaxTour for any trips we make in the future - would 100% recommend this company for everyone.
Thanks MaxTour/Mac for a great day! 😊

I had an incredible experience on my Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam tour with Jonny as our guide! From the start, Jonny's enthusiasm and knowledge made the trip unforgettable. He shared fascinating insights about the area's history, geology, and wildlife, making every stop along the way so much more meaningful. Jonny went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable, had plenty of photo opportunities, and even recommended the best spots to take in the views. His humor and stories kept us entertained throughout the journey, making it feel like a day with friends rather than just a tour group. If you're planning a trip to the Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam, I highly recommend booking a tour with Jonny—you won't be disappointed! 🇺🇸❤️

The small group Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and 7 magic mountains tour far exceeded our expectations. David (Big Dave) our driver and guide arrived on time at the hotel pick up point and thereafter treated every guest as a VIP. David's knowledge, helpful and friendly nature and need to make everyone feel special was a highlight. The day was long but David ensured the itinerary ran on time, factoring in comfort breaks and extra diversions enroute.
We never felt rushed and had plenty of time at each location. David could not be a better host.
Don’t look further than Max Tours, you won’t find better option. A big THANK YOU to, David, you made the day special.

Having booked our trip over the internet several months prior to the tour, we were looking forward to visiting the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam & Magic Mountain. We decided the small group tour was right for us to avoid the usual crush and herding of a larger group. This was overwhelmingly the right choice to make. Our tour guide, Bobby, was incremental in making our tour experience perfect throughout the day.
Our day started very early with a generous smile from Bobby as he greeted us at the pick-up point at our hotel. Once we had picked up the remaining members of our group we headed off for our first stop, the iconic Las Vegas sign, then onto the 7 Magic Mountains. Bobby helped create some memorable photos, where the advantage of being in a small group paid dividends as we had time to get the perfect shot before moving on.
Next stop was the Hoover Dam where we had the perfect length of time for wondering around and taking in this amazing structure. Bobby once again helped with advice of where to get the best photo shots. The Hoover Dam is a must visit place as only when you are actually stood on it you can appreciate the magnitude of its structure and the human effort it must have taken to build it. As an added extra Bobby took us to a spot to appreciate the magnificent views of Lake Mead. where we were able to take more great photos as well as being introduced to the local wildlife.
Our next stop was the Grand Canyon and this did not disappoint. The enormity of the Canyon was awe inspiring. We had lots of time to wander around, climbing up various vantage points and just drinking in the views. Bobby filled us with lots of facts and information with regards to the Canyon itself as well as informing us about the indigenous tribes of the area. Our tour bus being part of the Max Tour group and being small was able to get us very close to the edge of the rim. Larger buses had to stop at the outer perimeter with passengers having to be shuttled. We had a further bonus on our return journey with a stop at the Joshua Tree forest to take a final flurry of photos.
We thoroughly recommend our Max Tour small group to see these wonderful sites. Bobby was at hand throughout the day not only with his outstanding knowledge and helpful persona, but taking photographs of our group and individuals for us to download and keep when we returned home. He went above and beyond and surpassed our expectations of what this tour could achieve for us. Thank you Bobby!

Great experience and would fully recommend. Luis the tour guide was amazing, made sure everyone on the trip knew the plan, shared lots of knowledge, was the tour photographer at all the keys points and made the trip a great experience. Favourite part of mine was the 40 minutes at the Hoover Dam and the hour at Guano Point. I would recommend this tour and Luis to anyone staying in Las Vegas to experience the natural and man made beauty outside of the city

We loved visiting the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam with Max tours. Our tour guide Bobby was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and personable. He was a great photographer and took fantastic pictures with both my camera and his own which he then edited and sent to the group. He knew everyone’s name immediately and always kept us informed on what was coming next. The entire group seemed to be having so much fun. The van was very comfortable and it was great not being on a big bus with a lot of people. The snacks and drinks were plentiful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit these sites from Las Vegas.

What a Great activity!!! You can’t visit Vegas without visiting the Canyon ans Dam with MaxTour! The day goes by so fast, and our guide (Bobby) gives out so much information that you can really learn and appreciate the experience! The few “Extra Stops” on the way to the Canyon, cut the trip in short rides making it seem like a short drive out there…I highly recommend MaxTour….M.Cusson, QUEBEC CITY, CANADA

You'll be able to buy tickets when you get there, but it will be more efficient to purchase it with the tour package if you have your mind set on it. But in my opinion, the Skywalk is not worth the price. You're better off having lunch upstairs in the restaurant, and asking for a table along the window, overlooking the Skywalk. That way, you will be able to use your phone and take photos of the Skywalk and the canyon without paying a hefty price.
