This is a good trip away from the strip. It only takes about 4 hours. We had JT and Scooter Steve as our guides. They were great. Extremely knowledgeable on Vegas and Red Rock area. Beautiful views of the mountains. We did a short very manageable walk. They showed us numerous plants and told stories about the area and people who settled there.

This is was fun tour and we got to see some Beau rocks! JT was our guide and he was fabulous! Very knowledgeable about the area and when I left my phone in the van, he came back to make sure I got it back! He was a life saver!

This was a very nice tour. JT, the guide, was excellent. Great sense of humor, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating. We were fortunate enough to catch a herd of burros munching away at the scrub.
The last stop in Blue Diamond, however, was a bit of a let down. It was primarily a 20-30 minute snack stop at a restaurant. Given all the rain, it would have been great to use the time to see a waterfall or other beautiful sight. Red Rock Canyon IS a beautiful place! The tour was only 3.5 to 4 hours, so I could not understand the need to stop for a snack. We're not going to die of starvation if we ate after 1pm. ;-) Otherwise, I would have given this tour 5 stars.

This was a great way to spend the morning during one of our vacation days in Vegas. It actually turned out to be our favorite thing we did. Tour guide JT and his helper Scooter Steve did an awesome job of sharing history and other interesting facts about the red rock canyon area. They do it all with a sense of humor and a definite love for the area. It is only a 25 minute drive to the beautiful area. There is a nice hike we all enjoyed at the Spring Mountain Ranch Nevada State Park. At this park you get to tour the old Ranch, see some old west style buildings, and learn about many of the desert plants. On our drive we saw a coyote and three wild burros. There was a little bit of snow on the mountains, and it made for beautiful scenery and backdrop in our pictures. a special place so close to all the busyness of the Vegas strip. So glad we took the tour!

JT our guide was great - informative, enjoyable snd funny. He made the effort to know a little bit about everyone. Hike was great even for us older folk and Red Rock is beautiful. Highly recommended this tour

We had a fantastic time. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn some of the history surrounding Las Vegas. Our guide was fun, knowledgeable and very proud of what Las Vegas has to offer off the stripe. It was great to get some fresh air and see wild donkeys, hummingbirds and majestic mountains.

JT was a great tour guide. genuinely wanted us to appreciate the natural beauty of his city. highly recommend this tour if you want to get some relief from the sensory overload of the strip.

I know this information says it is not wheel chair accessible. We have a person that uses a roller walker and wants to go along on the trip. She can do some steps and if there is much walking, she would probably just sit on the van or sit in a location to wait for us to come back, will that work?

It's highly unlikely you'll see any bees or wasps. The tour is designed to be short enough to not require time for a meal. We ate shortly before our tour just to play it safe, but you could always bring a packaged snack along if desired.

They pick up from most of the hotels on the Strip or just off the Strip. If your hotel is not on their pick up list, they will suggest another hotel very close by. They didn’t pick up from my hotel, but from a hotel just across the road, so it wasn’t a problem. When you book online, you enter your hotel details.
