About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- krgibson40 contributionsBucket list tour of the CanyonsJoel & The Bindlestiff team put together a memorable, informative and most enjoyable 3 day tour of the canyons. The time in the vehicle between the canyons and stops may have been long but Joel made sure we had enough rest stops to stretch our legs. He used the time in vehicle to share his wealth of knowledge and experience of the area and we felt it added significantly to the experience. It is alot of driving but complety worth it to see the spectacular sights. The bus was full, and for tall people it could be cramped and a place to put our day bags other than at our feet would have been good, (the only negative)! The accommodations booked for each night were more than comfortable, with great amenities and close proximity to resturants for the evening meal. The staff at each hotel were friendly and happy to help in any way. (my son left a parcel at our 1st hotel and due to the distances we travel, we could not return to collect it, but the hotel made a plan and sent it to our final desitination before flying home). The food was plenty and very tasty, the stand out lunch was definately the fry bread taco at Goulding's Stage Couch diner. The itinerary was amazing and covered everything and so much more. The stop for lunch on day 1 in Seligman and the historic Route 66 was fantastic. Having conversations with the townfolk (super friendly) and walking the streets was very enjoyable and so many opportunities for photos. We did the optional Helicopter ride and would highly recommend it to give you a view of the Grand Canyon that is unparalleled. That 1st sight of the Grand Canyon takes your breath away. The sunrise on day 2 from the north rim of the Grand Canyon was emotional and breathtaking. As you drive with a guide through the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park later that day, you are transported back in time and Stephen our guide brought its history and people to life. Ending the day with sunset at Horshoe Bend gave me goosbumps and stunning photos, along with significant memories made. One of the highlights was walking through Antelope Canyon with our guide on the morning of day 3, it was mesmerising and we were awestruck by its beauty. The time spent in Zion National Park was exhilarating, we enjoyed lunch and then hiked to the Emerald Pools all the while enjoying the majestic mountains surrounding us. Photos do not fully capture the grandure and the majesty of Zion Canyon. All the while, Joel is exoanding our knowledge and minds with information about all the places we visted or even just drove past. I canot recommend this tour enough, if you can only choose one tour to do on your holiday, you have to do this one with Joel.Written January 15, 2025

- Road151729333870 contributionsSOUTHWEST HIGHLIGHTS 7 DAYS Camping TourFirst off, thanks to our passionate guide Kaitlyn for making this trip unforgettable. 7 days traveling the Grand Circle and she made sure to sneak in some really great memories and then some. Now theres really no words to express how incredible and breathtaking these destinations are, most of them are unlike any other place on earth! Zion and Bryce park are both unbelievable, even the drive between them is stunning. We had an unscheduled lunch break in Capital Reef, which I was very happy about because that meant we checked off every National Park in Utah! Arches has so many iconic photo opportunities and again we were surprised with a sunset hike to Utahs most famous Arch formation. Canyonlands, and Moab are both so interesting and you're given time to explore what you can. Monument Valley had yet another surprise for us because after an amazing day touring the Navajo region, we set up camp right along the ridge overlooking the iconic mitton buttes! Climbing down into Antelope Canyon is a must, you'll never get another opportunity to see a slot canyon like that again. Last but not least, the surreal Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, I don't need to say more. This was a very short notice solo trip for me, and I camped the whole way, so here's what I learned. You're going to have very little access to electricity outside the van, so pack an extra charger. Pack lightly on the bug repellent and don't worry about snakes or scorpions, I saw none. Listen to your guide and take their trail suggestions, they don't always hold your hand once you get into the park's, which is nice if you really want to dash toward a specific spot. And lastly, pack some snacks. Otherwise you'll only be eating what your guide can prepare from the coolers. O and get ready to share your favorite road trip music!!!Written January 4, 2025
- 382sebk0 contributionsOutstanding national parks tour!I took this tour in Sept 2024 and it was one of the most amazing experiences that I have ever done. From my first inquiry and subsequent phone calls their customer service team was top notch. Really helpful and kind and provided a wealth f info to help me choose the right tour for me. The tour itself is hard to put into words as every part of it was so great! The organization, the views, the hiking in the parks, camping under the stars, meeting great people of all over the world- 12 in total. I highly recommend this company and I will be back to take to Alaska tor in 2025!!Written December 27, 2024
- M3747WUsuzanned0 contributionsWonderful Tour!We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The landscapes were spectacular, lunch was provided in a picturesque spot and our tour guide, Joe, was incredible. He gave us so much background information on everything we were seeing/about to see. I can't think of another guide who was as personable and knowledgeable as he was. Thanks for a wonderful tour!Written December 26, 2024
- Delaina3210 contributionsThanks Bindlestiff and Joe for the unforgettable trip!Booked this as part of our honeymoon, and honestly, it made our trip! We had so much fun and saw some unforgettable sights. The tour was so enjoyable that we were saying we should have booked an even longer one because three days felt too short! A big part of what made the trip such a great one was our guide, Joe Rickertsen, who was friendly, knowledgeable and all around fun to hang out with. We learned so much and loved our interactions with him. If given the option, we'd definitely choose him to be our guide again for our future tours!Written December 25, 2024

- Debabrata S0 contributionsFantastic tour of Death Valley with Chloe. It was an entertaining and learning experience for us. Our tour guide, Chloe made the tour very entertaining as well as educational. We learnt lots of things about Death Valley and relevant cultural history which we never knew. About 10 hours tour never had a dull moment. The van was very comfortable and Chloe’s perfect driving made it a very safe tour. We wish to do more tours with this company with tour guide like Chloe. Chloe never rushed us at any moment of the tour. She always was aware of our various needs.Written December 14, 2024
- esthermS2206TH0 contributionsFantastic private tour - highly recommend! What a fabulous experience! We booked a 3 day national parks tour with Bindlestiff as a private tour, with stops at Zion and Bryce National Parks, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon and Route 66. From my first inquiry, Bindlestiff was helpful and accommodating. Our tour guide, Chloe, was super knowledgeable, entertaining, helpful and an all-around superstar guide. She was able to accommodate all of our needs and help our family (including three generations) make the most out of our so that everyone, from age 10-77, could enjoy this magnificent part of the world. I hope to book another tour with Bindlestiff some day and would enthusiastically recommend both Bindlestiff and our guide Chloe to anyone who wants a taste of the Southwest.Written December 12, 2024

- L3333QFbrendam0 contributionsGreat ExperienceThis tour was pricey but it was a wonderful experience. It was sunny every day and the temperatures were mild. The views were unforgettable. Everything was well organized. We had only four people on our tour so it could be tailored to our preferences. The tour guide, Adrian was knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, a fantastic experience. We'd recommend Bindelestiff tours.Written December 9, 2024

- TeaJaySee0 contributionsGreat time on winter tour of Utah parks.Fantastic tour, everything was pretty much perfect. Adrian was a great guide, and handled the snow storm, which might have affected things, very well. In the end although really cold at times, was beautfiul to see the contrast of ice and snow on the red rocks. Definitely would consider doing another Bindlestiff Tour in the future.Written December 5, 2024

First of all Cindy at Bindlestiff Tours Customer Service was great and handled all our queries patiently and provided all the required information.
Jon as the driver cum Tour Guide was great - he had detailed knowledge of the places we visited and scheduled the activities very well. Because of his effective scheduling we(family of 3) were able to do 3 hikes - Part of Bright Angel Trail in Grand Canyon(2 miles into the canyon and back), Zion Narrows Riverside Walk(we were also able to wade 25 meters into the Virgin river at Narrows) and the 2.9 mile Queen's Garden Trail and Navajo Loop in Bryce Canyon. We were also able to swap Horseshoe Bend for Lake Powell. We were given an option of Navajo Taco Dinner at a Navajo family home. The dinner was very good. The lodgings at Bryce(Ruby's Inn) and at Monument Valley(Goulding's Lodge) were excellent as was the sunrise view from our sunrise view room at Goulding's Lodge. Jon stopped at various view points on the way and also took our photos(Desert View, Mather Point for 30 minutes, Checkerboard Mesa, Lake Mead etc.). Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend Bindlestiff for any of the tours listed on their website.

We did a customized tour to fit in as much as possible into the tour in two days and it was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for Joel, he was super efficient and helpful, always trying to make things easier for us. He was fun and managed to fit into our group dynamic seamlessly.
The itinerary was amazing and the sights spectacular. What an amazing tour! I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family! I would also love to come back for another longer tour one day!
