About the operator

- abitim20220 contributionsTerribleTerrible terrible experience the tour company scammed us. We ended up.paying for everything again& bus broke down in the middle of nowhereWritten October 9, 2024
- melissadI5924VS0 contributionsCancelled our trip last minuteI had this trip planned for months and they cancelled it on us two days before departure. I had secured a good rate initially and had to pay $150 more to rebook with a different company last minute. So I would consider them unreliable and look elsewhere for your trip.Written October 8, 2024
- edwardlA7820JW0 contributionsTake lots of extra money and a umbrella with you if you decide to walk.Bus tour was okay but be aware that tour is aligned with too many extra costs. You have to pay for breakfast, lunch, and dinner off the tour bus menus. You cannot buy anything else. They take you where they want you to go. Also, once at the Grand Canyon, you have to make a choice. You pay $25 a person for a guided tour and stay with and ride the bus to another location, or you are forced to get off the bus and walk 2.5 miles in the HOT sun to meet the bus at another location. This is called scam/bribe. You should not be forced to walk if you do not pay the $25 fee per person. This tour is nothing more than to see how money they can squeeze out of you. They also take you to prearranged stops to get you to vendors that sell items at very high prices. I bought a king size Payday candy bar at one of the stops for $5.95. Outrageous. Also, tour was delayed for over 1 hour waiting for a lost couple that did not make it back to the meeting place because they walked the 2.5 miles. This put undue stress on all the passengers. Most important: Take a umbrella with you to fight the sun if you decide to do the 2.5-mile walk.Written October 7, 2024
- N1875APdanielh0 contributionsAwesome day trip to Grand Canyon South RimMy family and I went on the day trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon last week. We had a very memorable, wonderful day. The trip was easy to book through TripAdvisor. I also appreciated how the company called me the day before to confirm the trip, as well as kept corresponding through email/text with updates in the hours leading up to the trip. The actual day of the trip was a bit of a whirlwind with the very early pickup time and the long bus ride to the Grand Canyon (and back), but it was very eventful (in a good way) and all very worthwhile. We got to check out the Grand Canyon up close and personal and had absolutely gorgeous views of the Canyon. We got to take a ton of amazing pictures while we were there. Our tour guide, Kevin, did a very fine job leading our group throughout the long day. Kevin kept us on schedule as much as possible, made regular announcements throughout the trip to make us aware of everything we needed to know, and was just very easy to interact with, with his humorous and amiable demeanor. My family and I also did the guided tour of the Grand Canyon with Kevin for an additional fee, which was very much worth it. Kevin did a terrific job showing us the highlights of the South Rim and taking a lot of great pictures of my family posing at various areas of the Canyon. We also really appreciated how the company provided as much cold water as we needed (as it was a very hot day) as well as arranged lunch and dinner for our group. Kevin is a great, great guide! I would definitely recommend this day trip to all!Written October 7, 2024
- richardlP2742MW0 contributionsGreat experienceWe actually got bumped from small group to large group due to lack of people singing up, but that did not tarnish the experience at all. Our tour guide Laila was excellent, and the canyon was amazing. Very glad we went.Written October 6, 2024
- 621meae0 contributionsA great tour souredThe tour itself was excellent. Nelson was a good driver and Brandon was a great tour guide - very friendly, knowledgable and well organised. A couple of things lost the 5th star. The first of the two walking tours was really a 'standing' tour - standing out in 100 degree sun while Brandon talked about the local area and tribes. Not healthy. And then being told at the end of the tour that he and Nelson each expected a $10 tip, and then having them both stand at the door, hands out, as we got off was crass and soured the experience. A box for tips would have been a better way of doing it.Written October 5, 2024
- FanOfSummer0 contributionsThe Good & The Very BadThe National Park, Grand Canyon & Wildlife are spectacular. We choose the South Side because we weren't interested in the Skywalk. It really is something to see in person. Booking the tour with this company was very easy. They communicated in the days leading up to the tour, we knew where to be picked up, what to order for breakfast and lunch. We also knew it would be a long drive. Now onto the bad: Pickup; We were told to be at Treasure Island Hotel for 5:15am. We arrived around 5:10am. No bus. 5:25, no bus. I sent a text and was told it would be there any moment. We were scheduled to leave at 5:35am. The bus arrived at 5:34am. By the time we did the final hotel pick up, it was almost 7am. We hadn't left Vegas, and were already tired of the bus. The Tour Guide, Kevin. Oh Kevin, I wanted so much to sympathize with you, but you were pretty unprofessional. I had read the reviews, and had heard about your Coffee, No donuts joke about the bathroom - and you told it again. You've obviously been doing this a very long time - and I think people have beaten you down. Because every tour should be a clean slate, but we were treated like literal 5 year olds on a class trip. First stop was at a Best Western in Bolder City to pick up our pre-ordered breakfast & lunch. We were told "NO ONE CAN USE THE BATHROOM HERE". You said that many people, the building couldn't handle it. This is important to remember for later. After Bolder City, we stopped at a gas station / rest stop and were told we have 8 MINUTES to use the bathroom. And that if we weren't back on the bus, we'd be left there. It's very stressful to try and use the bathroom in 8 minutes with 50 people in line with the thought of being left behind. More time on the bus - hours actually. Kevin has us take pictures of the day's schedule - and scolds everyone who is talking while he is talking. I get it - the information was important - but get to it man. Talking about your tax problems, your kids broken leg, and rambling on about 100 other things... just tell us the rules. We stopped at Route 66 in Arizona to stretch our legs. Had about 12 minutes. We are reminded we will be left behind if we aren't back on the bus. There's a video playing on the bus about Route 66, but you can't hear it, because the volume is too low and some of the bus televisions keep cutting out. Finally we arrive at the Grand Canyon. We are very late because of whatever happened in the morning to throw off the schedule. Kevin is frazzled. We're told to meet at the back of the bus after we get a bottle of water. God love the bus driver, but I have never seen someone struggle with getting water out of a cooler like Shannon. To the point that Kevin marched down, yelled at her "are you bottling this water yourself", then yelled at all of us to get into our meeting with him. Those of us who didn't want to pay an extra $25 per person to do the guided tour with Kevin were finally allowed to leave and do the walk. It's a little over an hour walk with the stops. We are told to get to Angel Point and look for the "BIG" rocking chair. That is our meeting point. Told that the bus will be boarding at 4:15pm My daughter and I did the walk ourselves. We arrive at Angel Point shortly after 3pm. Got a drink, sat for a bit. Couldn't find the chair. Asked all the employees we could find - no one knew where this chair was. Turns out, it's just a normal chair - not BIG like we were told. We find the bus. Board. We were told we'd get a bottle of water after the walk - but were only handed a pack of cookies. No water, after a long hike in 40 degree weather. THEN WE WAITED ON THAT DAMN BUS FOR 45 EXTRA MINUTES because a couple choose not to return on time. Kevin was frantic on the phone outside. No one updated us. They didn't let us off the bus. No apologies. Why weren't those people left there? All the threats about bathroom breaks and hurry up, and being spoken to like children, and we were forced to sit on a bus in the heat waiting for people who don't have the common courtesy to be back on time. Finally, we are on the way home. Only instead of going home, Kevin tells us that we are all having supper in Bolder City. And I quote "we are going to sit down as a group and have supper like civilized people" How rude and insulting. Oh, and it isn't included. So we have to spend $40 we weren't planning on to have supper with strangers - and 75% of the bus is pissed off now because of the long delay. Kevin takes our orders, and is aghast that I would order pasta and not the chicken sandwich he suggested. (I am vegetarian). We stop to change drivers and are told we have 7 minutes to stand in the parking lot. Don't move - just stand. It's 7 minutes for Kevin to vape. We finally get to Bolder City and it's back at the same Best Western to eat a gelatinous glob of pasta served in a tin foil dish. This is VEGAS, and I'm eating pasta I could make at home. Kevin then tells us we can use the bathroom there. The same bathroom we couldn't use earlier in the day. Back on the bus. About 5 minutes into the ride, Kevin is frantically running up the aisle on his phone. WE LEFT SOMEONE AT THE RESTAURANT!!! It's unclear if he left her by accident, or if she choose to get off the bus, but whatever the case, that didn't stop him from gossiping about her to other passengers. It's important to note, while we were waiting for the last passengers at the Canyon, this woman got off the bus to ask what the heck was happening! So maybe she got left on purpose. On the way home we got to watch Ghostbusters. Again the sound and picture was terrible. We finally arrived home close to 11:30pm. I will never get on another bus again in my life. I understand - it's a very long drive to the Canyon. And people need to be kept on schedule. But we are adults, not children, and he was constantly condescending. I asked if you could get lost on the trail, and he made me feel very stupid for asking. I think Kevin has been doing this a very long time, and the public have sucked the life out of him - but I would not recommend this tour to anyone based on our bus experience. If I could do it again, I would have rented a car and driven myself. There are many stops along the way that would have broken the day up nicely. We could barely move when we were finally able to leave. The stop in Bolder City was completely unnecessary. Either tell people to bring extra food - stop at a rest area for snacks - or just take us home. I can only assume this is an arrangement with the Best Western so they can sell some school cafeteria quality meals. If you're still reading this far, and have any questions, please ask.Written October 5, 2024

- szabolcsp9280 contributionsGood tripI was hesitating between 3 and 4 stars. I gave 4 as everything was fine on the day however my initial booking was cancelled and they just sent me an email that call us (less than 48 hours before the trip). If I don’t call tripadvisor I don’t know my trip was cancelled. Thankfully I had one more day in Vegas so I was able to attend the tour the following day. Also, I was assigned to the furthest pick up point (30 min by bus) when there was one 5 minute walk away from my hotel. I didn’t like that people are bribed to give 5 star reviews.Written October 1, 2024

- Joseph R0 contributionsAmazing day! What an absolutely wonderful day! We took the Grand Canyon South Rim from Las Vegas a few days ago. It was a long day but worth it. Our tour guide, Franco, couldn’t have been better. Even with a glitch in the PA system, he kept us informed and entertained. Even more than that, he was attentive to our needs and seemed determined to make sure it was the best tour for each of us - even our 12 yr old grandson - the only kid on board. Our driver, Frankie, maneuvered the bus in busy Las Vegas and along the highways with ease. He made me glad I didn’t rent a car and drive ouselves.Written September 30, 2024

- felwat20200 contributionsTerribelI haven't even gone on this tour yet because it's scheduled for tomorrow Sept 27, 2024. However, had to tell my experience with Trip Advisor/Viator this far. My bestie and I were booked for the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam Stop, w/Breakfast and Lunch and Skywalk tickets. We decided to go with this site because they had a better price. We called to ask before booking did they pick up at our hotel to make sure. We were told by 2 different representatives that they DID in fact pick at our hotel. Then we went online and was given the option to add our hotel for pickup location. Once picked we confirmed out order and received a text and email that we'd receive our pickup info before 8p the day before the tour. For us that meant that same evening. We received our info around 7-ish and was told our pickup was another location, which was an 11 min drive from where we were staying. I messaged back and explained that representatives from the company stated we'd be picked up at our location. Well of course it didn't help. We now have to take an Uber to the location after we were specifically ensured of a pickup at our location causing us to be inconvenienced. I'll NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER ORDER FROM VIATOR OR TRIP ADVISOR AGAIN! LIARS LIARS LIARS!!!!!! I wouldn't take my tour with them if they were last on the list.Written September 26, 2024

I booked a tour for June 2020 back in February of 2020. I cancelled in April 2020. I received email confirmation of cancellation policy, which included details about receiving a refund. I called in July and August about the status of the refund. I was told that since tours were not running, refunds could not be given yet, though I was on the list to receive a refund. I have tried to be gracious and understanding of time with the impact of the pandemic. Around Christmas time, I noticed the website was accepting tours. Since the business is running again, I have emailed and called and left messages several times (during their advertised hours) within the last month about the status of my refund but have heard nothing in return. I would absolutely not recommend this company and will not return to them in the future.

I had to cancel our booking due to our holiday being cancelled because of Covid-19. My booking confirmation clearly stated that there was free cancellation up to 24 hours before tour, but this statement is meaningless. I booked our tour in January for a trip at the beginning of June. I cancelled the booking in March and emailed the company several times to ask when my refund would be processed. Admittedly I received a very prompt and pleasant response on each occasion with a variety of reasons as to why my refund couldn't be processed. However, I accepted and understood the difficulties that they were experiencing due to the pandemic. On the 5th of June I happened to look on their website and found that they were taking bookings for trips from the 1st of July, I emailed them and asked why my refund hadn't been issued as they were open again for business. I received a reply stating that although they were taking bookings, their office still wasn't open to process refunds. I wasn't happy at all with their response and decided to take things further. I opened up a dispute through paypal, which was then escalated to a claim and thankfully received my refund. They didn't respond to any of paypal's requests for further information. I was relieved that I opened up a dispute when I did, as you only have 180 days from the transaction date to do so.

Our original small group tour was cancelled and I was very upset we were then scheduled for a bus tour and I need to get a refund of the difference in cost so what do I do? Give me my refund difference and I'll write a review. It's ridiculous when the tour company cancels a much more expensive tour and then doesn't automatically refund the difference. Not my fault😟 I do not recommend the small tour you'll only be cancelled to fill a big bus tour.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your tour. We are happy that you had the opportunity to experience the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, some things are beyond our control. We made the difficult decision to cancel the small group tour due to vehicle maintenance. Instead of canceling the small group tour, we offer our customers if they would like to switch to a bus tour. Creating lifetime memories by delivering tours that provide enriching, and fulfilling environments have always been our top priority. Please be advised that we do automatically issue a partial refund for the price difference between a small group tour and the bus tour. Thank you so much for your understanding.
Thank you,

This is a quick tour where you only be 3 hour at the grand canyon park (4 km) and 6 hours in the car, so even when the is a full day tour most of the time you will spend it seat in the car. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is to go so you do not have any chance to seat in a restaurant and enjoy your food and chill. Even when Jamie is a goog guide tour I did not enjoy it just because the itinerary is too tighty for me!

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We value every client's opinion regarding our tours. We're sorry your tour didn't meet your expectations but we are happy that you had the opportunity to experience the Grand Canyon.
As stated on our website, it does take about 4.5 hours going to the Grand Canyon and another 4.5 hours coming back to Las Vegas. Due to the length of the tour, we can only allow 3 hours to explore the Grand Canyon. Also, there are limitations to the number of hours our drivers are allowed to drive by law.
Please know that we will surely take note of the events that occurred on your tour and address them to improve our services. We want to offer our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

First of all the pick up said that they would get you from your hotel ... only if you were staying at the 4 pick up spots. The bus was a double decker, so the downstairs people had a whole different experience than the upstairs people. We could not see squat diddly. Fiona, tour guide, was very personable and I can't blame her for any of the negative things about the trip. She even packed air freshener, because when anyone used or even opened the door to the restroom on the bus the whole downstairs instantly smelled of raw sewage. That means it is an ongoing problem and the company knows about it.
Our party of 4 got the table with four seats facing each other. If you book this trip absolutely do not sit here. It was so uncomfortable that my toes went numb.
About an hour in the air went out downstairs, but not upstairs and the driver tried to say it was because we were near the engine. We had to pull over to reboot the system and that took 10-15 minutes. It periodically kept going out the rest of the trip and we had to complain to get it back on.
The stops they stopped at were old and nasty and only had two stalls per restroom. There were 78 people on the bus. The first stopp had an over abundance of flies in bathrooms and that is where we got our food from.
When we got to the canyon we were informed that if we didn't take the $20 upgrade we had to walk the 2.5 miles to where the bus was going to pick us up. I think this is a shady thing to do, but after sitting like a pretzel for 4 hours it was good to go on a long walk.
Last but not least, on the way home they told us we would have a dinner stop. They waited till we were 30 minutes from Vegas to stop and it was the same fly infested place from the morning. All of us just wanted to get back to the hotel and wash the nasty bus funk off of us.
The canyon was beautiful, wish we would of rented a car.

Hello,
We are happy that you had the opportunity to experience the Grand Canyon . We pick up from several hotels on the strip, but in order to pick up all our passengers expeditiously, we set the nearest pickup point for everyone that is staying in a certain area. It is usually a walking distance, or a few minutes ride from your hotel. Unfortunately, like other tour companies, we cannot pick up from every single hotel due to the limitations of driving hours that are allowed by law. Also, this would extremely impact the amount of time it would take to leave Las Vegas and get to the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately, we no longer operate our own buses due to the pandemic. We are a very small family-owned business and we try to provide the best tours at the lowest cost. We now charter our buses through Windstar Lines. However, this is not to make any excuses but we rely on Windstar to make sure that their buses are in tip top shape (especially the A/C)) and the overall condition of the bus. Please know that we have reach out to their management regarding the bus issues. They have assured us that their mechanics will be working diligently to address and repair all bus issues. We have just started using this restaurant and have passed on your comment to their management, please note this is not acceptable and will be corrected immediately. The walking tour guide is optional, if you do not purchase then you are free to explore the park on your own. Fiona is one of our best tour guide and we will pass on to her your amazing feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and greatly appreciate your feedback as we pride ourselves on providing great customer service and amazing tours Thank you again for your business!
Thank you,

My wife and I joined a group from our military unit's reunion in Las Vegas for a day-long excursion to the south rim of Grand Canyon. We had never been to the Grand Canyon before, so we were grateful for this opportunity. We had, however, visited Copper Canyon in Mexico, which we think is even a more spectacular natural wonder. We enjoyed brief stops at Mather Point and Bright Angel Point (our favorite). We were told that this special tour would be 12 hours. But for various reasons, the group had to be split into two buses, and our one guide (a cordial woman) was in over her element in keeping things coordinated. She and the driver get a kick-back when they take tours to McDonald's, so we had to eat there and suffer its greasy, atrocious food. The tour turned out to be almost 16 hours, and we were absolutely exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience touring with us. We apologize for the confusion but the Grand Canyon South Rim Tour takes approximately 15 hours as stated on the the website since the drive itself to the South Rim already takes 4.5 to 5.5 hours including the stops and another 4.5 to 5.5 hours going back to Vegas which would still depend on the traffic condition going back and the time it takes to pickup and to drop everyone off is not included in the tour. In regards to the Dinner, we understand some people have strict diets to follow hence we allow passengers to bring their own food in a bag for we cannot guarantee that the food available at the stops would be to their liking. We're hoping for your kind understanding.

This tour was the best part of my Las Vegas trip. Our tour guide Gia was AMAZING!! She was very informative as well as entertaining!
We booked this tour at the last minute and they were able to accommodate me and my family. Gia and our wonderful bus driver, Pedro, and assistant, Rashad, picked us up early in the morning and took care of us the entire day. They not only took us to the Grand Canyon but also showed us several other cool spots along the way.
Once we arrived to the GC, Gia gave us an in-depth tour and also went out her way to make sure everyone single person had their picture taken with a beautiful background.
I highly recommend this tour everyone visiting Las Vegas and surrounding areas! I hope that when I return that I am fortunate enough to have her as my tour guide again.

The Grand Canyon is a natural wonder not to be missed if you are anywhere in the area. A trip to the South Rim of the canyon makes for a long day because the ride alone is nearly 5 hours each way. This company did something inventive to address this. We preordered breakfast AND lunch (pay on your own, but the prices were OK) then picked it up in Boulder City on the way. We ate both meals in the van. The one problem with this (that the company should DEFINITELY remedy ASAP) is that there were no cup holders. It's actually a safety issue. Trying to hold the breakfast container on your lap, your hot coffee in another and using your free hand to eat is a recipe for dropping hot coffee on your lap. Installing decent quality cup holders will last as long as the vehicle and provide added safety to the customers.
Having said that, the trip was great. Kevin was our guide for the day, a cheerful and loquacious fellow. He filled the downtime with stories and anecdotes, but still gave plenty of quiet time for relaxation. We chose not to take the guided tour, instead walking the 2.25 mile rim trail on our own. It was great and the views spectacular. I highly recommend this small, family-owned company for a trip to the amazing Grand Canyon.

The views of the south rim of the canyon were beautiful! The stop on route 66 was neat: great place for pics and souvenirs. The guide was friendly, and was great at taking pics for guests.
I can't say the experience was worth the cost though. $165USD + Uber costs to/from pick up/drop off location + breakfast + supper + tour guide tip for what amounted to a couple of hours to see a 2-3 mile stretch of the grand canyon and a 15min stop on Route 66. Glad I did it (because it's beautiful!) but the cost for this particular experience is questionable.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your tours. We are happy that you had the opportunity to experience the Grand Canyon
We are sorry you tour did not meet your expectations. We are a very small family-owned business and we try to provide the best tours at the lowest cost and our goal is to make sure everyone enjoys our tour. We pickup from several hotels on the strip, but in order to pickup up all our passengers expeditiously, we set the nearest pickup point for everyone that is staying in certain area. It is usually a walking distance, or a few minutes ride from your hotel. Unfortunately like other tour companies , we cannot pickup from every single hotel due to the limitation of driving hours that are allowed by law. Our tour does not provide dinner, but it does include a breakfast snack, unlimited bottle of water and lunch. Tipping/gratuity is customary in the U.S as our tour guide work in the service industry and we strive to provide great customer service while on one of our tours. However it is up to you if and how much you tip. Once again we are happy that you had the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon.

This tour was amazing from start to finish!! As soon as Gia (our tour guide) got on the bus’s microphone I knew this would be a day well spent. Not only was she hilarious and kept us laughing the entire journey. She was also super informative. She had us play guessing games to fun fact questions, she’d ask. I was a little too young to know half of the answers, let alone the history behind the places we visited. But, I still enjoyed hearing all the guesses and answers. I learned so many new things on this trip, probably more than I did in school haha. This was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had as well as my mum & sister. We owe a huge thanks to Gia, she took everyone’s concerns into account and made sure everyone was enjoying themselves at all times. She also takes the BEST photos, so definitely do not pass up on the $20 tour vs walking on your own! You won’t regret it!

I find there are 2 different tour of big group bus, one is need to pay extra $30 for guided walking tour. How about this small group? Does it included any guided walking tour?

Kelvin, No the trip I did take does not include the/or a guided tour, on the sky walk. I don't actually even remember seeing it. The small tour took us to one view point/information center and allow us about a half hour or so, before he left and moved up to another location with more amenities a little further up the canyon. We were given a choice to walk the trail from one location to the other, which I did with another companion I met on the tour. My wife wasn't up for the walk, so she stayed with the few others on the bus. I think you can book that somehow, but I think it is a different tour. We booked on the Grand Canyon Destinations Website at home before we left. We were offered at the time to add an additional night flight over vegas. That was great, but it was only a short 20 minute flight.
