- villonesm00Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam Tour With MealsThis was my second time using Sweet Tours to go to the Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam. Unfortunately this trip was on Aug 1, 2023 and upon arriving at the Grand Canyon, the park was closed due to an accident at the welcome center. The bus operator was super nice and professional. Since the park was closed and we had to go back to Las Vegas, the bus operator stopped at key attractions and look out point on the way back. Everyone was issued a refund for the trip. Unfortunately this was a circumstance out of everyone's control but was handled excellent ! I am definately going back to Vegas and booking this tour again with Sweet Tours !
- jessicawF3102XS00Grand Canyon tour from Las VegasOur Grand Canyon tour was great from start to finish! This company is professional and organized. We were greeted before we got on the bus, handed our tickets and on our way. The bus was clean, air conditioned, and we were offered complimentary water bottles! (And extra perk because it was super hot!) Our tour guide Jerry and bus driver Patrick are truly a dynamic duo! They were knowledgeable and friendly! The views of the Grand Canyon were breath taking! We got a chance to learn a great deal from the Hualapai people. It was awesome! We even stopped briefly at the Hoover Dam, and was dropped back off at our hotel. I highly recommend this company and their tour!! You made our 4th trip to Vegas very memorable!
- Cwhyton00Fantastic trip to the grand canyonWas an amazing trip and our tour guide Jerry was absolutely fantastic! Can tell he loves his job and wants everyone to have the best experience! The driver Patrick was brilliant as well! Highly recommend

- anthonycY5083KH00Wonderful ExperienceThe views are absolutely stunning and we got so many incredible pictures. Our driver Wally was so knowledgeable it made the experience so much better. We were considering renting a car and driving out but it's not worth it!!! This tour is an excellent value.
- MathieuM161500Very nice day!The experience was great we did everything we set out to do and the driver was very kind and knowledgable about the area which made the tour entertaining. I think if I had a few suggestions to make, I wish we could have stayed a little longer at the Hoover Dam and gotten out of the bus at different spots to see from different angles. We also couldn’t always hear what the driver was saying very well and we missed out on some of the information. Overall great experience would recommend.

Pickup was fairly easy. The van arrived late, but there was fast communication when we texted to ask if we had missed the van entirely. They send you a picture of the vehicle and the name of the driver so you can be sure to get on the right one.
Our driver was Lorena, and she was very funny and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the fun facts she pointed out on the way to the Grand Canyon, though it wasn't so much that you couldn't sleep during the drive if you wanted to. Our group was in a sprinter bus that was very comfortable, and it was not completely full so we had extra space. Breakfast was two packaged muffins, a banana, Belvita crackers, and an orange juice. There was plenty of cold water and hand sanitizer available. Plenty of stops along the way too for bathroom breaks or to stretch your legs. We stopped at the birthplace of Route 66. I wish we had stopped at Hoover Dam, but they no longer do it because there is an entrance fee now.
The lunch was tasty, and you have a choice as a group to stop and eat or just eat on the road. You also have a choice to be dropped off for a two mile hike along the rim of the Grand Canyon or to be driven right to the end point. Our group opted for the hike, which I highly recommend. It's paved and you barely notice an incline. The views are absolutely amazing (we did the south rim). We got about three hours at the canyon, which was more than enough time to slowly walk along the rim, stop for pictures, and to check out the gift shop at the end.
Definitely check the weather before you go, as you can always leave your jackets in the van if you don't need them.
The only con I have is that on the way back, there was a storm, and the roof where the emergency exit hatch was started leaking. Luckily, our group was not full, so it dripped onto an empty seat.

Myself and my oldest daughter
Booked this day trip to see the Grand Canyon and we were very impressed with the whole day and our wonderful driver named Wally the overall value.
We definitely got our money's worth with a nice little breakfast and
coffee to start the day, a stop to see the Hoover dam Wally gave lots of great information on the Hoover dam, the Las Vegas area and places on route to Grand Canyon.
We stopped at a quote place on old Route 66.
Had a wonderful box lunch
And then had lots of time to explore
The Grand canyon.
It was breath taking from every angle. It was an experience I will never forget. We got to watch some funny movies on the way back
That passed the time. This trip was
Worth every penny.
Thanks Wally and GC/Sweet tours for this wonderful experience and
For getting us back safe.

We went to vegas specifically to see the Grande Canyon. We booked at the CVS on the strip and paid in full. We stood outside in freezing temperatures for an hour the next morning at six waiting for a bus that never came. When we called we were told it was cancelled for bus maintenance. You have only one bus? You book buses that need routine maintenance that day? No notice, no courtesy call to either our cell or the room which we confirmed with the front desk. After walking all the way back we recieved a refund with a very practised sounding scripted apology. No reference to the fact that we spent hundreds on air fare to do this and it wrecked our vacation. Basic "sucks to be you" attitude. Very very poor customer service. Will never book anything there again

Wonderful day, worth the long trip. Wally was our tour guide. His knowledge of the history of the Las Vegas area, the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon was tremendous, giving the passengers a terrific insight into the historic significance of everything along the way. He also has one of the most listenable voices I’ve ever heard; maybe somewhere between Morgan Freeman and David Attenborough. I would strongly recommend this trip.

We booked a private tour with Sweet Tours, from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon (South Rim). We had the best experience with Sweet Tours. Our guide was knowledgeable, provided us the ability to be flexible with our schedule and see several sites throughout the day including many on Route 66. We definitely recommend Sweet Tours and highly recommend our guide Art, he was so kind and provided us an absolutely perfect day. Great experience, professional, and just an all around wonderful day!

6.25am collected from our hotel by james he should be a comedian rather than a driver he made us laugh. James took us to the depot to meet the main bus and we also got a coffee here and was handed our continental breakfast.
Now here is the first time i found out it was a 5 hour trip to the canyon.
Wally was our driver who was really nice and full of information.
First stop hoover dam be aware you only get to see it from the top of the hill there is no time to walk onto the dam.
Next stop was to pick up our relief driver to do some of the driving as wally only allowed to do a max of 10 hrs per day. We also was handed our lunches a nice boxed lunch with a great roast beef sandwich. (Other fillings available)
Our next stop was at Seligman a town that was on the old route 66 this place was amazing it was like time had stood still for 50 years.
Finally we arrived at the Grand canyon around 1-30 and stayed here for 3 hours. This place was amazing.
4-30 back on the bus and then the usual wait for the rude people who think the set off time does not apply to them even after wally asking about 5 times to be back on time.
Straight back on the bus with one stop to drop of the relief driver and for us to have a comfort break then on to vegas and to be dropped at our hotel.
Great tour, brilliant driver in wally.

We enjoyed the tour with sweetours. The facility including the bus was good. The guide was fantastic. Overall they were very punctual and very disciplined with timings and safety. In my case I left my mobile phone on the bus and they were kind enough to inform me about the same. I collected my phone next day from their office.
Overall very satisfied with the professionalism and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore canyons from Vegas.

We booked a tour of Grand Canyon with Hoover Dam. This was through GC tour but Sweet tours was operating it. $160 pp. We were informed breakfast and lunch were provided, air conditioned bus, wifi on board and included seeing Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.
This package was a complete lie, here is the truth:
We did get breakfast - small box containing a banana, breakfast biscuits, muffins (2 days out of date) and a small bottle of orange juice.
There was no wifi on the bus
the air conditioning was non existent, which is my biggest reason for giving such a damning review. It was 38-42 degrees out and with no proper air con for a full bus of people is ridiculous.
Water was included but we didn’t get any until we stopped at a rest stop.
We got very little time at Grand Canyon and lunch was not included. By the time we got back to the main terminal, we just about had time to chow down a mediocre hot dog before heading back on to the sauna that was our bus
We did see the Hoover dam but we didn’t have time to walk around and look. It was a quick photo stop.
The bus driver was being a tour guide during the drive but you couldn’t hear what he was saying
In all honesty, with the exception of seeing the Grand Canyon and a little of Hoover Dam, this was the worst tours I ever been on.
Do yourself a favour, hire a car and do it yourself! Don’t waste your money on this

Thank you for your feedback on your Grand Canyon experience and I am truly sorry for the problems you experienced. Our coaches are not equipped with wifi, so if GC tour said otherwise, we will certainly correct that problem. Wifi is very unreliable through the West Rim trip which is why we do not have it on board. Regarding the summer months, the summer heat is very taxxing on the bus units, and despite the fact that it is usually very reliable on bus trips, sometimes it does no perform as expected. Sorry again. Three hours is the max time spent at the Grand Canyon as we are required to get our customers back to Las Vegas during the dinner hour. Regarding food service, did you purchase the tour with or without lunch? Finally, thanks for your comments, sorry for the troubles you encountered; however, I must share with you that Sweetours consistently provides outstanding tour services to its customers as evident by our many favorable comments. So sorry yours was not up to par. Please come see us again for a better experience.

The drive from Las Vegas is long, taking a good 4.5 to 5 hours and the views are obviously amazing. The tour guide was hilarious and entertaining. If you are looking for a shorter trip, go to the west rim there are more view points and you get more time at each one as well for the same price. I went with Grand Canyon tours/Gray line tours.

Be sure your vehicles are safe. Surviving a tire blow out at 70-75 mph with resulting smoke inside the cabin is not a rewarding experience. The result was over a 3 hour delay in getting to our destination only for it to get dark and unable to see much as we were able to go to only 1 small area. Also could not get dinner as there was at least an 1.5 hour wait to get a table. As a group we decided to leave after about 1.45 hours. The temperature in the bus was cold and the driver as hard as she tried could not get the heat on. On the brighter side the bus driver was great and friendly. The sandwiches were also very good. As for going on another tour with this bus company, not a chance. I do not trust their vehicles or making good on a trip gone bad. Yes we only got 50% of our fees back. So we paid for a miserable day.

Hello Denise, thanks for your comments and apologize for this unfortunate tour experience which obviously is not the norm for Sweetours. Much of what happened was really beyond anyone's control....our vehicles are maintained in "top notch" condition and flat tires a rarity. So sorry also about your short visit to the Grand Canyon due to the onset of darkness, which also beyond our control. As your group had already traveled a great distance, your driver really wanted to ensure that everyone had the opportunity to experience the wonder and awesomeness of the Canyon. Once again, apologies from the entire Sweetours team, realizing this was an uncommon occurrence that we rarely experience. Glad the food was acceptable, and please, if you return to Las Vegas in the future, give us the opportunity to prove what our tours are really like. Thanks again and please let me know if you have further comments or questions.

53 passenger bus, with about 50 on board. You’ll have plenty of time to walk the rim trail, and at the end you will be able to descend into the canyon for a few minutes, and then ascend back up ( just go down a few hundred feet and back up)

The tour picks up at various hotels up and down the strip. You will have to check on the day with who you buy your travel info from..
Everyone used the bathroom on our trip, wasn’t a problem.

If you are in Las Vegas and want to go see the Grand Canyon by bus, or even by car, there is no other ground way.
But, you can rent a plane, or take helicopter tour. You may save a couple hours this way.

Yes. You're not required to exit the tour bus at attractions on the way to the Grand Canyon. When you get there, there are many places to sit.
