This was without doubt one of the best experiences of my life!
We had originally booked a sunset trip with another company, but our flight was cancelled on the day due to bad weather. We only had one day left in Vegas and unfortunately the company couldn't fit us in on a flight the following day, no one's fault as you can't plan for the weather but we were beyond gutted!!
On the off chance, I tried Maverick and spoke to the super helpful Seryne via live chat who got us booked in the following day, not for the sunset flight unfortunately, but we were just really grateful to get a flight at all at such short notice.
Now, I was a little nervous on the day! I was worried that I may get a little travel sick!! But I have to say the experience was incredible from start to finish!
We were picked up from our hotel, and after getting checked in at the terminal, we met our pilot (Wayne or Dwayne - I didn't quite catch his name!) who was so friendly and immediately calmed my nerves!
We shared the helicopter with two other couples, and we all got a chance to sit up front with the pilot!
Take off was just amazing and accompanied by the theme to Mission Impossible, which just seemed to increase the excitement!!
The weather wasn't the best, and we had a bit of rain and even snow along the way, but this really didn't detract from the experience.
Our pilot gave interesting commentary along the way, and we were free to ask questions if we had any. The views over the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon are something else from the sky!
We landed on a ridge in the Canyon overlooking the Colorado River, where the views and photo opportunities are just incredible! After a glass of bubbles and some snacks, we were on our way back to Vegas, finishing the trip with a flight over the strip!
The cost of this trip is not cheap but it is totally worth every penny in my opinion. You are in the helicopter for around 90 minutes in total, and the whole experience is just amazing!
Thank you, Maverick, for a fantastic trip.

It may seem like an expensive price tag but it's TOTALLY worth it. Everything went smooth from pickup to our hotel, lift off, and our shuttle back. We originally planned for an earlier date but when I checked the weather 2 days beforehand it looked rainy and foggy. Refund went smoothly and I booked a few days later.
We went right at sunrise and the changing colors with the sky was spectacular. We stayed at Exaclibur so we were picked up 45min before our flight. Our guide was Chris. The ride was smooth like a plane but better and closer views. Its just a little more vibration than a plane. From take off to land back at the airport was just over 2 hours. When you land in the canyon you are there for about 15-20min, with snack offerings and tasty champagne as well as some other beverages. There is no bathroom so just plan for that.
They refuel partway through on the way back so if you haven't got to sit up front by then you can ask then. All six passengers on our craft rotated and got a chance.
I feel like this is better than a bus tour because it's faster and you can reach views where its inaccessible by car and hiking. The landscape while beautiful, we had been satisfied enough by the time we returned. I feel if on a bus we would have been over it after the drive just to get there.
They take a photo of you before departure that they put on a nice plaque for purchase just under $40. There is a cheaper option for half that if you just want the photo. I highly recommend this for bragging rights, time, views, and overall experience. You will not regret spending the money.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful flight with Mavrick. Picked up from our hotel in an air conditioned bus and a simple check in process got us ready to go.
Our fantastic pilot was Tyler and while we were booked to do the Skywalk tour but due to weather we did the tour to the Canyon base instead. (Our pilot did advise prior to the flight that the Skywalk may be closed and an alternative option available)
Tyler was not only a great pilot, informational but had a great manner and kept us engaged and entertained throughout the journey. He was also full of interesting facts and historical information.
We flew out over the Hoover dam, into the Canyon (with drinks and views) and back down the vegas Strip (via a quick refuel)
Fantastic views all the way, breathtaking! As a family we were able to sit in the front on the way out and in the back on the way home, but felt we had great views both ways. We were in with a lovely group so their was lots of chat and a shared experience.
We were a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 x 12 year old) and would highly recommend this service. It is a well executed, quality tour!
Thanks again to our pilot Tyler who made it a really special (and safe) trip.

Don't book Maverick Helicopters because they do not keep their booking times. Book another helicopter company who keeps their reservation. I booked the Wind Dancer tour several weeks ago, confirmed for 8 AM departure. Maverick then contacted me a week and a half ago and told me they had to bump me because the helicopter was not available, so had to move me to 9 AM departure. I discovered the real reason I was bumped was because a company booked 8 helicopters and Maverick had to bump all the people that booked months ago. They do not honour their reservations, you are just a serf! All the people who booked months ago to go on their bucket list tour to the Grand Canyon got bumped for the big corporate bucks. Now they contacted me 3 days before the flight and guess what, they are bumping me again from 9 AM to 11 AM. I have another activity booked which I now have to cancel with my wife. The reason again corporate greed, and the poor working people do not matter, they even have 50 helicopters. Now I am waiting for the next cancellation the day of my flight, I checked with the other helicopter companies, no availability now so I am screwed. After reading multiple bad reviews of other people being bumped, cancelled altogether, it is clear that this is common practice for Maverick. Do not risk your vacation time and money since you will be disappointed. Do NOT use Maverick helicopters!!!!!!

After booking our trip to Vegas, we thought about booking the Skywalk Odyssey Experience for a long time due to the price as we appreciate it is a luxury-priced experience. However we can safely say it was worth every penny!
From being picked up at our hotel, to checking in at the heliport, to the flight and our Skywalk experience, we experienced amazing service and felt like true VIPs. The experience is intimate with 6 passengers per flight, and we were lucky to have two other lovely couples on our flight who we loved chatting to throughout the experience - if anything having others join us made it better.
The flight itself was smooth, our pilot was extremely welcoming and full of knowledge, and the views were amazing. After landing at the Grand Canyon Heliport, the pilot allowed us time to get plenty of our own pics beside the helicopter, before handing us over to the next team member who shuttled us to the Skywalk and guided us through the experience.
Our guide was a lovely Native American lady who was happy to share her culture with us, and was so knowledgable about the canyon. She led us up to the Skywalk, bypassing the public line (which was quite long) and through a private entrance onto the attraction. It must be noted that she explained that they commute 2.5 hours to the canyon and work 10 hour shifts so we are extremely grateful for her service. We then had a photographer follow us around and take lots of different pictures for us on the attraction, and due to the printers being broken the day of our visit we received a USB, allowing us access to all our pictures which was great.
Again, the return journey was incredible and flying over the strip as we arrived back into Vegas was so much fun. We were then given time to peruse the shop and purchase merchandise and get our framed pictures, before being shuttled back to the hotel by a lovely driver.
Highly recommend and would love to do it all over again!

This is a must do trip in Vegas if you want to make lifetime memories. The trip was very well organised from James our driver picking us up at 0600 and meeting our pilot Chris who looked after us for the trip. We flew out at 0700, which although early, is much cooler than the later time flights so worth considering when you book. We had an unforgettable experience taking in the history of the Vegas area and beyond ending up with landing in the Grand Canyon where we stayed for around 30 minutes which is plenty of time to take photographs and sip on the champagne provided. I would recommend Maverick highly, the trip was well organised and our pilot Chris made sure everything was carried out safely as well as being engaging and helpful. Overall, a trip to remember and our first time in a helicopter which was pretty cool experience.

We took the Wind Dancer flight to the Grand Canyon.
Really professional set up, with modern well equipped E130 helicopters and talented pilots.
It was a bit windy, but our pilot was reassuring to the nervous passengers, and gave a great commentary on history of the sites seen on the flight.
The views were amazing and from a perspective you could not see any other way.
The Grand Canyon itself is amazing to see so would thoroughly recommend booking with Maverick Helicopters

Amazing trip! Shuttle pick up was on time and driver was wonderful. The helicopter trip was spectacular. Definitely worth the money. There was a recorded script talking about the area which was ok, and the pilot added extra info which was great (wish he talked a bit more about the area). The landing area in the Canyon was beautiful and we had enough time to walk around a bit and get some amazing photos. I think paying for the trip with the landing is worth it vs just flying into/out of the Canyon. Even the desert area they landed at to refuel had some really cool Joshua trees. Make sure you hit the bathroom before leaving the airport. Don't bring any large bags or purses. Inside the helicopter is tighter than you'd think, but it was still comfortable for the 45 mins each way trip (even for a plus size person). Next time would love to do the sunset trip!

From start to finish I can’t rave about this experience enough! I found out about Maverick Helicopters through VegasStarFish on TikTok so shout out to her.
We were going to do one of those 12 hour long bus tours to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam but when we heard of this we jumped on it considering the price wasn’t too far off for a quicker and more exclusive type of experience.
The shuttle picked us up promptly from our hotel and took us the Maverick location at the airport. We’re we’re checked in, weighed and given numbers for our group.
Once you’re assigned a pilot they go through the safety regulations and tour info. Our group was 3 groups of 2 and each group got to rotate into the front seat of the helicopter each leg but there’s no bad seat.
Getting dropped off right into the heart of the canyon, having a glass (or two in my case) of champagne and taking in the breathtaking views was priceless.
I went with my mother and this has always been a bucket list item for her, I’m so glad we were able to do it in style.
Highly recommended this experience for anyone considering it. If you can afford it, do it!

We really enjoyed our trip from pickup at our hotel through reception at the heliport Maverick were professional throughout, our pilot was Elliot ( I think) he was fantastic and informative throughout the flight. We flew over the strip, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, landed in the Grand Canyon. We had champagne and snacks and on the flight back we landed for a quick refuel and flew back over the strip. I would highly recommend Maverick it was worth the price.

This particular tour does not offer that. I believe one of their others tours DOES go to that area.

Sorry for the delay. Yes we did have to wear masks while flying but at the landings could take off. Its wasnt that bad but it might be lifted by now. Still a fantastic adventure!!

There are 2 different options for tours on June 22 with different prices but no descriptions are given. Anybody know what the differences are?

Best bet is to just call them. Will say it was the best tour I have ever had!!! We did the Lake, Grand Canyon ( landed for Champagne and Pics!) and second landing for fuel, Red Rock Canyon and back to Vegas. Totally worth it .
On Jan 17 2022 will face nappies still be required? If so I will not be using your company.
As of 3 weeks ago, masks were required inside the helicopters and in their building at the airport. Not required when you land and are outside of course.

Hi there! Does anyone know what an appropriate gratuity would be? We will have two people going. Thank you!

Not sure what is appropriate but we tipped the driver $5 and the pilot $10.
