- X3197CJcharlottem00Interesting and funLoved the drive and seeing more of outside Vegas. Area 51 stops were fun and interesting n something we wanted to do for a long time. Driver was personable and pleasant as were fellow travelers. The smaller size tour is the way to go. Lunch at Ale'Inn was exceptionally good. Seems at first a bit pricey but I can say cost is well worth the one day experience.
- Julie M00Amazing!Amazing tour of an incredible structure. The history I learned not only about the dam itself but history given by our guide Kirk was great. He never hurried us, let us get plenty of pictures etc. You can tell he loves his job and his community. He definitely is one of the best tour guides I’ve had on any trip.
- 399marj00Area 51 tourWe booked the tour at TripAdvisor and were pickup at 7am in Down town Las Vegas. The trip was from pickup till arrival back at the hotel such a fascinating experience. Our guide, Clayton, has a lot of back ground information, theories and facts. The gates were interesting and it was not busy at all. Actually we were the only ones at the gates. The lunch at ally’inn was a great experience. It was an amazing day thanks to our guide. But again no real clue what is happening over there…haha
- 496500For 'believers' and none believers alike..But more for those that believe little green men live amongst us!!!The tour was great. Got to see the actual bar featured in Independence Day!!! The Area 51 location was superb. There really are cameras that follow you and a white SUV on top of the hill doing the same. One star off for the guide laughing at his own dreadful jokes...ALL DAY!!! However I do recommend this tour to 'believers'. One last nod to Nicky at the Ale-Inn. The food was terrific and a nice kind and friendly lady
- Colin B00A great day out….I booked this tour as a surprise for my wife as her interests is sci-fi / believing, she was blown away. I on the other hand was just along for the ride but the tour definitely peeked my interest and I find myself wanting to find out more. Our guide was Clayton and in one word he was awesome, very knowledgeable, funny and has a gift for including all the group in the many topical conversations we had during the tour. If your lucky and he really likes the group he goes out his way with team building / spending more time with you, he treated us to a beautiful sunset in the desert and the colours were just stunning. As a whole the tour was run very professionally from the office to the actual tour. Lunch was had at The Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel and it was the best burger we have had in the 2 weeks we’ve been touring the USA. A big thank you to Clayton and all involved at Adventure Photo Tours. The Little A'Le'Inn
- Coastal82654200Highly Recommend!I highly recommend this company. Donna went out of her way to accommodate my booking, and Marcus and Jim were talented drivers and great tour guides! We saw amazing desert scenery, (including a mirage), beautiful mountains, the Santa Monica Pier framed against the blue water of the Pacific, and of course, the highlights of Hollywood. We drove down Rodeo Drive and Sunset Blvd, as we made our way to the famed Hollywood Blvd. Jim took us on a walking tour where we saw the Roosevelt Hotel, the Dolby Theater, the Hollywood Sign, the Walk of Fame, as well as many other points of interest. Jim is a knowledgeable tour guide who made our day interesting and fun. Marcus made sure we had plenty of water and snacks, and also shared information throughout the tour. It was a long day, but my memories will last a lifetime.
- clX4982XI00Long and boringSo so long driving with few stops and a guide that is not knowledgable. As a solo traveller this made the trip very dull. The guide didn’t say much about anything and stops were short. There must’ve been a better way to do this trip…I should have used another company. I was expecting the day to be fun…I was disappointed.
- reenap98000Not as advertisedThe guide was terrible and the vehicle awful. This was so expensive and was not worth the money. I knew more than the guide. People were complaining on the trip and the guide didn't even respond. Akward!!!
- 731catherinel00Don't waste your time and moneyThe guide knew very little and had no stories to tell. We were hurried at every stop and got back very early. This was a bucket list trip for me and was ruined by this company. I recommend you use an alternative.
- D7124GMdavidg00Gorgeous and Mysterious! This was a terrific tour. Great balance of gorgeous desert scenery and the mysterious lore of Area 51. Clayton is a terrific guide. Highly knowledgeable and friendly. (Not to mention a skilled driver). Gliding along the dry lake bed and the stop at the Ale-in were definite highlights. Highly recommended.
- bbsydney9600HUGE doesn’t even begin to describe it!We had a fun day with Art soaking up all there was to see on our day trip out of Las Vegas. Art is a very knowledgable guide and we felt in good hands all day. The helicopter trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon was really special. I am glad we did it. Art knows the itinerary like the back of his hand, so worked hard to help us avoid too many crowds. That being the case though, it meant we had lunch at about 11am and sometimes we felt a bit rushed to beat the buses to the next stop. This truly was a day we will never forget. It was such a thrill to see so many iconic images up close and in person. We had a great day.
- Carmen R00Totally RecommendExcellent Tour. Our tour guide was the best! Very communicative and he knew his stuff!! Long Day but so worth it!
- Lyn B00Highly recommend this small group tour to view, experience and photo the beauty.Professional knowledgeable and friendly guide and driver, lots of photo opportunities. It’s a long day but a good day. Hotel pickup with breakfast snacks and juice or water. Plenty of water all throughout the tour to help keep you keep hydrated, lots of snacks also on offer. Our guide Art was great, he gave us lots of information and seemingly gave us lots of time to take photos. We enjoyed walking around part of the canyons rim. Bryce Canyon was vast and breath taking, Mt Zion was great and in contrast to Bryce Canyon. The company was professional from booking to pick up where we received an information pack and pamphlets for both parks. We travelled in a roomy comfortable 8 seater van with efficient air con :-) One thing to consider is it distance, 5 hours from Las Vegas, if you’re also thinking of visiting Grand Canyon or another one or two parks I’d recommend you take a 2 or 3 day tour.
- bobbye70500Highly recommended! What a great tour, I would highly recommend this for anyone who has an interest in area 51. We was picked up from our hotel and there was great communication between the tour operator before our trip. Kirk was our tour guide for the day and was amazing. He provided information throughout the day about area 51, Las Vegas and also the town's we drove past. There are plenty of stop offs on the way and photo opportunities. The provided lunch was great at the little alien inn and Kirk also had a great supply of snacks and water in the car. Be prepared for a long day but a once in a life time opportunity. Thanks again to Kirk and everyone on the tour for a day to remember.
- rmm0800Area 51 tour - a must do when in Vegas! Our tour was even better than we anticipated Dennis our tour guide was so attentive/ knowledgeable and great fun Plenty time at each stop and Dennis happy to take pics for us Lunch was included at the Alien cafe ( as were all. Cold drinks enroute) Food delicious / the homemade coleslaw was amazing Yes the tour is expensive but absolutely worth it! You must book it!!! The tour is pricey

This trip was suggested to me by the concierge at our hotel and I am glad I listened to him. It is a long drive to the South Rim - more than 5 hours. With short stops for the Hoover Dam, Route 66 and restroom breaks, it took us about 6 hours to get there. But I really enjoyed it because Barry had so much information and made it so interesting. Plus, I had not seen this part of the country before, so I loved the drive through the desert, then through the Juniper and Pine forests to the National Park. The drive back can be tiring but the scenery is beautiful.
The 3 mile walk at South Rim was an easy walk along a paved road and the views over the Canyon were superb. We had about 2 1/2 hours at the South Rim. I wish we had a little more time. I wanted to sit and enjoy the view as well as take pictures and read all the information about the Geology along the route. There wasn’t enough time for that.
The SUV was clean and comfortable and the snacks/ lunch was adequate. Barry made sure we got restroom breaks and coffee whenever we wanted them. If you are trying to decide between West Rim and South Rim, take into account the fact that South Rim has more of “Nature” and less of “Activity “. Also it’s a good idea to take some snacks of your own.

We had a great time with Eli on our trip to the Hoover Dame and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We were such a small group we got to go in an SUV instead of the bus which was very comfortable and Eli stopped for us quite a few times to take pictures, get coffee and use the restrooms.
We were very fortunate to have booked our trip through Adventure Photo Tours/ Grand Canyon National Park VIP Tour because we over slept and missed our bus on the day we had originally booked, but we could not have asked for better service a lady named Diane was very very nice and lucky got us booked in for another day,
We are so grateful to Adventure Photo Tours and would highly recommend this tour for visors to Las Vegas!

Had the best experience with this tour. Small group felt intimate which I enjoyed as was by myself. Got picked up from hotel and instantly handed a bagged breakfast which was most welcomed. Lunch was great also and something for everyone. The driver was really knowledgeable and gave good information about the Canyon and on the drive there and back. Most importantly he knew when to be quiet as we were all tired on the way back and welcomed the silence. It was a big day but I felt well looked after. Would 100% recommend.

We booked this tour through a travel agent, who recommended it based on other reviews. I have a pretty discerning palate and to give a tour 5 stars is very rare for me but I have to say this tour was excellent! In a 14 hour day, we saw the Hoover Dam, Route 66, El Dorado Canyon and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The itinerary was an accurate depiction of the day/timing and our tour guides, Ken and Bob, were excellent in what they do (true, knowledgeable storytellers). The day is very long and Ken and Bob were able to keep me, my husband and kids, among others, fully engaged the entire time. The food included on the tour was surprisingly good, for eating on the road, and the amount of time spent in the Grand Canyon was perfect - not too long, not too short and independent (we never felt crowded or rushed by our guides). We loved that the tour was a small group (9 total) and it was well worth the money and time to be able to experience such a majestic place!
Best part: The views of the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam, the weather, the actual tour and tour guides!
Worst part: Be prepared to spend up to 10 hours on the road (if you are taking the tour from Las Vegas) and the fatality of a tourist (listen to your guide and you will be fine).
Invest in some good walking/hiking shoes, dress in layers and the rest is really taken care of by the tour company and the top shelf tour guides, like Ken and Bob!

Me and my husband had booked the Death Valley tour but due to extreme heat it was cancelled.
We had the offer of a full refund or to go on another tour. We chose to go on the Grand Canyon South Rim tour.
My husband woke up sick the day of the tour so I went alone.
I had the pleasure of going on the tour with some great people. Thank you Linda, Melvin, Linda and Lauren for being so friendly and thank you to our tour guide Bob who is full of knowledge and stories. They all helped me by taking pictures and making the tour to a fun and memorable experience.
I would definitely take another tour with APT again.

A great way to experience the Grand Canyon in one day! A long day with several hours travel time, but worth it..spent about 3 hours in the Canyon, walking along the Rim Trail, and also the chance to see and stop off at the Hoover Dam and Route 66 on the way there .
Comfy van, tasty lunch and snacks and our guide Bob was a fountain of knowledge! Thanks again!
Back to the hotel by 9.30pm and time for a last visit to the gaming tables..!

We decided to take this tour as small groups are much more personalized. This tour was excellent! Our tour guide Barry was extremely knowledgeable, funny and made our trip comfortable. Arrived on time for our 6 am pickup and with only a group of 5 we were quickly off. Hoover Dam first stop which while only 15 minutes was plenty of time to see and for photos. We made a stop at Route 66 and then on to Grand Canyon. We had 2.5 hours to explore on our own which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had a bagged morning snack and great bagged lunch and plenty of cool waters. While it is a long day, (we got back around 7 pm as our group was on time returning to meeting place). It is truly worth the $$. A special thanks to Barry, who made our trip memorable.

We had a 7 seater, no infant seats. The drive was like 5 hours one way, infants may feel uncomfortable. Better ask the operator.

Don’t remember any USB ports but I didn’t need to use one. It was a modern bus so I’m sure that they’d have one at least in the front and the driver/guide was very helpful so would sort you out.
I think we were on a 12 seater and not all seats were taken. We had plenty of space.
We arrived back more or less as advertised which was dependent on the order of hotel pickup. A long day but worth it to see the Grand Canyon.

We were collected from the Ballagio where we were staying and I expect they collect from all the hotels. I’d try giving them a call or email as I found them very helpful.
