Valley of Fire and Lost City Museum Tour from Las Vegas
From $129.00
Overview
Get out of Vegas and into nature on this day trip to Valley of Fire State Park and its magnificent red sandstone formations. This tour combines a visit to Valley of Fire, Nevada’s oldest and largest state park, with a visit to the Lost City Museum, all in an air-conditioned coach. Lunch and hotel pickup and drop-off are also included.
What to Expect

Your morning starts with pickup from your Las Vegas hotel by air-conditioned SUV or mini-coach for a one-hour drive past Lake Mead and Moapa Indian Reservation.

On arrival at Valley of Fire State Park, your guide provides an overview of the park’s history and geology. Get a close-up look at the fiery red rock formations that give the park its name, and see petrified trees and 3,000-year-old Native American petroglyphs. You have enough time to explore the rugged terrain and photograph the natural landscape.

Next head to the Lost City Museum to view a collection of prehistoric artifacts recovered from nearby archaeological sites. Tour the museum’s exhibition galleries and outdoor exhibits, and learn about the history and culture of the Moapa Valley’s earliest inhabitants.

See an archeological site in various stages of excavation and pop into the museum shop before ending your tour with hotel drop-off in Las Vegas.

Very happy, especially with our tour guide!

We were in awe with the raw, natural beauty of the Valley of Fire and Lost City. Our tour guide, Phillip, was outstanding, making this trip very informatiive and enjoyable. Phillips vast knowledge of the valley was obvious and greatly appreciated. AA/BA, NY
