    Great magic with Great laughs.
Great show. It's a smaller crowd < 100 so chances to participate are greater. The Mentalist is amazing and will hold your attention throughout the show.

Jerry was incredible. I would not have believed it if I didn’t see it for myself. He guess my wife’s name and workplace name. Don’t take my word for it see it to believe it. He was also very funny and entertaining.

Was a little sceptical at first, and, as the price was so cheap for Vegas, didn’t have high expectations. However, Gerry was funny, very entertaining and by the end of the show, we were on our feet clapping with everyone else. The trick he did with the lottery balls was the best. Ok, there have been reviews giving their thoughts on how it’s all done and maybe they’re right, maybe they’re wrong. We didn’t care. It was a great night that, considering we paid a fortune last time we were in Vegas to see Criss Angel, a show we walked out of after 20mins, we would highly recommend spending your money on seeing Gerry and you’ll still have change for dinner after.

My husband and I enjoyed Gerry’s masterful way of using wisdom, comedy and magic to present a highly engaging show. As an extra bonus, tickets are reasonably priced and the V theater at Planet Hollywood is in the heart of the strip. The Mentalist - a great value and a must see when visiting Vegas!

Going to the show, I had no idea what to expect. It was partly shocking and very captivating. Gerry knows how to entertain an audience and even those who were skeptical at the start were convinced of his talents by the end. There was active audience participation so if you’re shy you may be pushed out of your comfort zone. Definitely worth seeing!

This is the worst show I have ever been to. The guy asks you to write on a card before he comes out and he is clearly looking through cameras and memorizing a few of them and then blindfolds himself and calls out a couple people. Then the nail gun part is so dumb. The 4 nail guns are numbered and he eliminates 2 by saying number 4 and number 2, but then he ends it by asking the person on stage to choose right or left. The person chose left and he put his hand on the gun to his left and he felt the gun and new it had the nails,so then he switched it saying the other gun was the left. He was now implying the left to the audience. So either way, he would not choose the gun with nails. I find this show to be a side show on the street, but I have seen street performers do better. Sadly, we paid $150 to see a show that is worth about $40 or less. Save your money and most importantly, your time and see something else. I find it funny that we can purchase something from a restaurant or store and we can return it and get our money back if we aren't happy with it, but we can't get our money back when we get scammed by shows like this.

Same experience as another reviewer. Huge line for will call, then another huge line to enter the theater. Bought tickets weeks before the show, paid extra for “VIP tickets” and selected a section when purchased. Tickets were actually given out first come first serve, so we ended up sitting in the far back in a corner. Very frustrating given the expectations that were set. The show itself was decent and had some highlights, but overall not the caliber of a typical Vegas show.

Show was nothing special and the upgrade to better seats is totally not necessary and a waste of money! Seats that we paid for basically assured us participation in the show and neither did we get the seats we paid for nor get to participate in the show. Theater is so small that purchasing the cheapest seats will do. Wether he is calling upon pre scripted people to participate or they are sending him messages via electronic pulses this was nothing more than a glorified magic show. The Mentalist will have you believe he has done amazing mind work that constituted billions to 1 odds but in reality it’s all prescripted. If you listen to what I said and buy the cheapest seats in the house you’ll do yourself a favor. I guess if you are bored and nothing better to do the $29 price tag isn’t horrendous to kill an hour and 15 minutes but it’s not worth a penny more than that. Mildly entertaining the audience barely clapped and had to be promoted by the Mentalist to clap more often than not. Plus if you are driving your own car Planet Hollywood will nail you for expensive parking $30 when the bottom line is you were going there to patronize one of their shows and should be free like a hotel guest for the duration of the show. Show was nothing to write home about and believe me I didn’t even mention that I went to see him to anyone that’s how mundane it was. And the capper is Planet Hollywood takes terrible advantage of people who are coming to patronize their establishment by seeing one of their shows. The parking and the upgraded ticket total was $183 and I felt like I could have spent that money far better in Vegas than seeing this show or parking at Planet Hollywood. If you get the seats for $29 and don’t have to pay for parking it’s fine for $60 but DO NOT buy upgraded seats and if you have your own car stay away from Planet Hollywood on a Friday night.

Would give 0 stars. Not trying to be overly critical, but the show was really bad. First, we arrived 15 minutes before showtime, but no one at Planet Hollywood could tell us where the show or theater was. We called the box office, and they could not offer us directions from the Planet Hollywood registration desk. This resulted in us finding our own way and being 20 minutes late. Second, we paid for VIP seats (front middle), but we were seated in the far corner, which were less expensive seats. I work hard for my money and do not like to be cheated out of it! Of course, since we were late, we could not participate in the segment we walked in on. When Gerry called out “BH”, I raised my hand and caught Gerry’s attention with direct eye contact. He skipped me and went to someone in the middle who raised her hand a few seconds after we made eye contact, which was very fishy! As he moved forward with the show, he ended up calling on the same woman twice. she picked the woman right next to her once, and then the people directly around them after, which made it seem extremely rigged and scripted. This was annoying and not enjoyable at all due to how “fake” it seemed and the prior mentioned issues. Worst experience in Vegas by far!

Gerry is NOT a mentalist. He is a legend in his own eyes. Expert self promoting Vegas Salesman. Claims intuition helped him choose these lottery numbers on ticket he gave me. Look closely at the photo I have posted. Jokes on you Gerry. Quick pick. Next time maybe you should consider not buying a quick pick. Venue is tiny. You don’t need to purchase VIP seating not worth the extra$. Do yourself a favor and go to a different show. In the middle of his performance he uses show time to promote himself and sell his book. No thanks Gerry. That’s stage showtime NOT sales and self promo opportunity time.

Thoroughly boring. Audience participation felt more like a threat than something fun. It felt like he was talking at the audience instead of talking with the audience. Tricks were technically impressive, but there was no emotional connection. I felt zero worry about his nail gun trick. I usually like figuring out how something is done, but I simply didn't care.

To be fair, most (almost all?) of the audience liked the show.

Strangely, I received an e-mail asking for reviews of the other shows I purchased from the same website, but The Mentalist wasn't included. Some of the other shows were at the same theater. Perhaps they kept track of unenthused audience members to avoid a bad review? Either way, I won't be seeing this again unlike some of the comedy/magic/singing shows I enjoyed enough to see on a return trip.

The Mentalist is a fun and entertaining show which I would recommend to others. Gerry does swear occasionally but not a lot, so if you bring children under 16 keep that in mind. While always being skeptical of these types of performances, Gerry McCambridge, The Mentalist, did a great job of entertaining us. Aside from him requesting the audience to applaud frequently, we found the performance to be very entertaining and worth our time and entry fee. I would recommend this show to others.
