This has the potential to be a 5 star review, however the instructions on how to start the tour are worse than awful. There needs to be step by step instructions including that you must write down your code, include instruction to include the map you need to down load, the pause option does not work well either. But for $12 I guess it is certainly worth that.

Very nice value and informative. Liked the railroad museum in. Carson City. Would like to see the app display on CarPlay screen but it worked well enough

Really good and interesting information that made our drive all the more fun. The directions were easy to follow and took us to spots we would have been unaware of.

Couldn't use app at all. Even though I downloaded app, when I got to Starbucks starting point, it wouldn't load to the verifying point. Tried over & over. Used Starbucks wifi and still no luck. I used the link for support & got no answer. Finally, after wasting almost 45 min. at Sptarbucks, my daughter went to the sight & paid another $12 to load it onto her phone. Finally, after wasting most of the cool morning hours we had planned for, we could start the tour.

Very hard to follow at the beginning of the tour which was very off putting and dangerous when on the busy highways. Factual information of the area was good

We enjoyed the drive, views and historical background of the places we saw and stopped to see. Guided us perfectly and allowed stops for interesting sites.

We enjoyed the experience of the self guided tour around Lake Tahoe. Lots of different historical stories. I recommend the tour to anyone who likes to do things self guided.

We really enjoyed the self-guided tour from South Lake Tahoe to Carson City and Virginia City. The information given by the narrator was very helpful and interesting, and the sites that the tour took us to were very cool to us, as we are history buffs; it was nice to go at our own pace. We were surprised to learn about some of Carson City's past residents, and particularly liked the neighborhood of well-preserved Victorian homes. Virginia City will take you straight back to the Silver Rush of the 1850s/60s. Many, if not most of the buildings date back to that era. The steam train tour is available on weekends, and we enjoyed the tour of the Ponderosa Mine. There are plenty of places to eat and to shop for unique jewelry and gifts. I highly recommend this tour!

An excellent, easy to use self-guided tour offering valuable information & interesting stories of Lake Tahoe and it’s intriguing communities

We did have a bit of trouble getting the self-guided tour started; however, once we got the tour going, it was well narrated and very informative. Hikes, vistas, photo ops, restaurants were all pointed out - giving us enough time to determine whether we wanted to partake in activities offered. The tour paused and resumed on demand. An inexpensive way of learning about the area.

Great tour. Loved it. A must do experience for anyone who enjoys Lake Tahoe. Very educational and loaded with fun facts.

Horrible experience. Don’t even think about driving around the lake. Too many people PARKING in the road, too many pedestrians AND bumper to bumper traffic. Was not a good experience at all. And with the number of people in the Tahoe/Truckee area, a peaceful vacation is impossible. I’m going somewhere else next vacation.

The audio tour seemed very informative and interesting. The directions were clear as well. Unfortunately we didn’t find out until we got to Camp Richardson that the route to Tahoe City is closed in the winter. I would do this tour again but maybe have a disclaimer for the winter time.

Educational, interesting and pretty sites to see. Saw parts of Tahoe I’ve never seen before. Liked how it tracked where we were.

We loved using the driving tour from South Lake Tahoe to Tahoe City! The driving directions were clear and gave plenty of advance warning about lanes to be in. The background info was interesting. The route took us off the beaten path a little and pointed out som locations that we would have skipped. We stopped a few times and hiked. My only trouble was that the app owner said to end the route if stopping for more than a few minutes. I was not able to resume the route and had to download everything all over which was hard in a remote hiking area. But one I got the hang of the features provided, it was great! I plan to use Voice Map again.
