- Vacation386341962210 contributionsFirst time trip! Our guide was amazing! We started at 630am and were gone all day! We learned so much! Lunch was provided, very fresh! We would have never covered all the places we saw with guide. Got to see tons of animals including a bear that walked in front of car. We would definitely book again!Written May 26, 2024

Man and woman drivers. 10 parents, 7 children. One other grandmother like me with her granddaughter. Saw Denali from the ground, wild bears, other wild animals. Great scenery of mountains. Good food. Good accomodations. Nice people. Was my 50th state to visit.Written January 18, 2024

- Z6826SHrebeccag0 contributionsYellowstone Dreamin Tour was excellentWhat an adventure we had with Ron as our guide! Our family group went to Lamar Valley to experience the wildlife. Ron was an expert at finding all types but managed to find 2 Grey wolves and a black. He pulled out scopes and we watched for over an hour as the wolves moved about. It was a treat and not always a find visitors get to see. We also saw a brown bear with 2 cubs, bison, elk, numerous birds and ducks, deer, and a mountain goat. Our lunches were amazing even though we had to eat in the bus in the rain. My turkey wrap was delicious and had so much meat on it I was full for hours! Included were chips, pickle, avocado, and the sweetest peach ever! Every member of our family enjoyed the lunch and were satisfied. I highly recommend this company for any tour into Yellowstone! Our guide was so knowledgeable and answered any and all questions. Once in a lifetime adventure!Written July 14, 2023

- h2oskierc0 contributionsAmazing experience for our family of 6Wow. Not sure where to begin. My wife worked with Debbie to get everything setup. She was extremely responsive and helpful. The lunch that she arranged for us was excellent. These aren’t gas station bag lunches. These were fantastic lunches. More than I could eat in fact. Our guide, JR, was excellent. His passion for the area and the wildlife was evident from the moment he picked us up. He was the perfect amount of talkative for us. He shared a great knowledge of the park and was the kind of person I’d be friends with if we met in real life. He has the perfect personality for guiding visitors along their journey. We were picked up in a nice newer suburban. It for our family of 6 (including 3 teenage boys) well. It was nice and clean, I feel bad it was a rainy day and we got the inside muddy. JR just seemed to understand that was part of the deal. The tour was well equipped with spotting scopes, binoculars, bear spray, etc. JR even had a device to attach my phone to one of the spotting scopes so we could all see and we could get photos and video from it. JR was great at helping us find wildlife, and did a great job of tailoring our tour to us. He showed us things we never would have seen without an expert guide. He even showed us things that he felt we missed out on from our previous couple days of unguided exploring. If you’re considering a guide, just do it. And use Yellowstone Dreamin Adventures. You won’t regret it.Written October 22, 2022
- katherinecC8231IJ0 contributionsAmazing private family tour of YellowstoneMy family and I (6 of us) had such a wonderful time on our Yellowstone tour! Our guide Adam was great, he was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend the day with. He took us to all of the spots we wanted to see, and stopped for us to have our lunch at the Old Faithful Inn. The ride was very comfortable and the included lunch was amazing! If you want to see a lot of Yellowstone and have the ease of a private tour, I would highly recommend! The responsiveness and professionalism involved in booking the tour was also great. Thanks for everything!Written September 13, 2022
- SEM84840 contributionsWitness the Beauty and Majesty of YellowstoneJR was a great guide and provided us with many insights of the park. He also made our two day trips to the park very efficient and memorable. We were able to see all of the sights and get the the historical background of the park, geological phenomenons and wildlife. Sine the North entrance was closed to individuals, the Yellowstone Dreamin Adventures was definitely the way to go if you are staying in the Gardiner area.Written August 27, 2022
- P5530TTjoem0 contributionsYellowstone Dreamin TourYellowstone Dreamin tours: 5/5- all starts with coordinating upfront with Debbie (owner) and her exceptional customer service skills- she definitely wants you to experience what you want- we were on a 1 day park visit and her suggestions fit our needs perfectly. Now, on the actual tour (10hrs.), our guide Adam, was another great fit for my wife and I. Perfect amount of information for us, pointing out many, many items of interest that we would normally just drive right by. Took us to all the “must see” spots, and walked with us to the best vantage points. Gave us site specific information, viewed, photo’s and on to the next spot. The full day tour was done in a perfect sequence whereas it never felt pushed. Highly recommend this group for a great individual tour of the park. Great job Yellowstone Dreamin!Written August 15, 2022
- andimcfm520100 contributions100% happy we chose this activity and tour company!!Great way to start our Montana/Wyoming/Idaho vacation! Having never been to this part of the country nor Yellowstone National Park, our group decided the best way to start our vacation was with a tour. However, our group (4 of us) did not want to be crammed on a tour bus or van for the day with other people. Once I found Yellowstone Dreamin Adventures on TripAdvisor, it was a no brainer to book with them because they offered a "private" tour for just our group and the prices were better than other tour companies I was looking at. Their prices are very reasonable in my opinion. J.R. was our tour guide and meet us promptly at 7:00 a.m., complete with coffee, muffins, bear spray and binoculars for all 4 of us. He was super friendly and a pleasure to spend our day with. He was knowledgeable of the area and the history of Yellowstone National Park. He took us throughout the upper and lower loops of the park, stopped to look for wildlife whenever we asked him too, even did a few u-turns for us when we swear we saw bears in the woods. He stopped at several springs for us, Roaring Mountain, the Fountain Paint Pots, Firehole Falls, Old Faithful (and even waited so that we could see Old Faithful erupt), Yellowstone Lake, Grand Prismatic Spring, Midway Geyer Basin, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and several other points of interest in the park (but I can't remember the names). We saw a moose, hundreds of bison, lots of baby bison, elk, a baby elk, pronghorn, lots of birds, bald eagles, and a grizzly bear to top off our day! JR is an avid photographer and took a lot of fantastic pictures that our cell phone cameras could not hever gotten. He even shared all his photos with us after we finished the tour! Lunch was hand-made, fantastic and so much food. We had our choice of several different sandwiches, so no surprise lunch and not getting something you didn't like. Thank you Debbie!! It was really a fantastic day, a great way to start our 10 day vacation and get the lay of the land so we could venture out on our own the rest of the week. When our group saw busloads of people and other vans passing by, we were so happy we had a private tour! Book with Yellowstone Dreamin Adventures - you will not be disappointed!Written June 28, 2022
- Sharon M0 contributionsThis is a Yellowstone Must Do!What a day we had with JR! We were picked up at our location in the morning (coffee and muffins waiting) and began our journey! JR was great - an avid photographer who knew all the places to take us and pointed out the areas that had wildlife activity in them from his previous trips. At last count we were up to 13 bear sightings - a few of them were right on the side of the road so we have great pictures, saw coyotes, wolf den activity, eagles, osprey, falcons, of course bison and elk! Lunch was very good - we pulled off and ate at a picnic area and the sandwiches were prepared ahead of time, and we were able to choose what we wanted so no surprises! JR was always there to lend a hand when exiting the van which was extremely helpful. Honestly, it was the best day and when we saw busloads of people and other vans passing by with multiple people in them, we were so happy we had a private tour! Thank you, JR, for making this a truly wonderful experience!Written May 22, 2022
- hollys6450 contributionsHighest recommendation. This company hasn't been around very long but it is made up of veterans in the field and it shows. We had the best time with our guide Ron who was easy, wonderful and who is also 5th generation Gardner resident who knew everything about the area. Booking is easy and friendly, and our experience was nothing short of life changing. We saw wolves, Elk, Goats, badgers, bears, buffalo, antelope and all kinds of birds. Can't wait to return.Written August 14, 2021
- michaelwU1048EL0 contributionsTop Notch camp and "Combo Tour"We stayed at the Yellowstone Dreamin Camp, and did a "Combo Tour" one day while we were there. Both were top nothch. We are a family of 4 - with two boys ages 13 and 11. The camp far exceeded our expectations. It was quiet with amazing views, and had far better amenities than we expected - having tried 'glamping' like this in other places. Can't say enough about these tents. We slept better than at home! Our boys never say a word about accommodations either way - but couldn't stop raving about this place. The tour with Ron was awesome too. He was well informed and easy to ask questions. Knew the right spots and more than once spotted a grizzly or wolf that soon a hundred other people were checking out nearby. Great guy who really made it a fun day. He also found a really suitable hike for us so we weren't just in the car all day - a beautiful spot that really helped us feel like we we experiencing some of the best Yellowstone has to offer. Great great experience.Written July 7, 2021

This was an excellent tour and I would recommend it to anyone. To start, Debbie was very accommodating and responsive when booking and getting everything planned. She got us all prepared and answered the many questions we had. Ron, who we highly recommend, picked us up bright and early - we wanted to see as much wildlife as possible so Yellowstone Dreamin' was flexible on the start time since it was a private tour. Ron knew his facts on the animals, history, and general interesting Yellowstone tidbits. The car was clean and comfortable and Ron did a great job on the roads.
Once in the park he knew all the cool places and spots to find osprey nests, bald eagle nests, and wolf dens. You're not guaranteed to see any animals because they're wild animals (ok you'll probably see elk and bison), but we were able to see a grizzly, many wolfs and pups, ruddy ducks and more. We wouldn't have seen as much if Ron didn't know where to stop and he also brought a mega spotting scope which made all the difference (it made others not on the tour jealous).
As a full vegetarian family, the food was surprisingly really good and the portions were very large. We were happily surprised that both the quality and quantity exceeded our expectations, even being vegetarian.
Not only did we have a great day with Ron, but he gave us places to look in the following days we were in the park and all of his tips paid off as we saw some cool things based on the places he said to go.
Totally great experience, definitely worth it. I would recommend doing it early in your trip so that you can get a feel for the park and the wildlife hotspots with Ron driving.

This was a once in a lifetime experience for me and my 13 yo grandson! Ron was our guide and Rob was our guide in training and they were both fantastic and kept us entertained with stories and information about the park and the animals. They customized our trip to include a drive up the Beartooth Highway, for which I will always be grateful because I could not have driven it myself. We saw a bald eagle, an osprey, some antelope, big horn sheep, mountain goats, a grizzly bear with two cubs, a black bear with two cubs, and pocket gophers. But the best part, and what we will never forget, is a wolf encounter we had. Ron got a tip and turned around and found a place to park. We watched a beautiful black wolf come down the hill towards us and start to cross the road, stopping right in the middle and directly in front of our SUV! Then he continued down to the river, harassed some bison, strolled downstream, swam back across the river and started back up the hill. This time he crossed the road directly behind our SUV! He continued up the hill until he found a coyote den, where they started yipping in alarm. Four coyotes started charging him and eventually he left. It was magical! We hoped to see a wolf but could never have dreamed this!! I can’t recommend them highly enough.

We booked a private tour with Yellowstone Dreamin’ and it was the absolute BEST thing we did on this trip. Ron picked us up and took us on an amazing American safari through seemingly every corner of the park. Ron is a Montana native who’s passion for the park, the geology, and the wildlife kept our whole family engaged and helped us get acquainted with the park in a way that we never could have alone or in a larger tour. Ron knows where all the animals are, has the tools (scopes, binocs, etc.), and he’s eager to help you appreciate the place he loves. Don’t miss this tour. I can’t imagine a better experience in Yellowstone.

Day of days. Tour guide was Erik and we had a wonderful day.Wolves with two Cubs hunting 3 bull elks and a female elk, black bear with her two Cubs napping, wrestling and eating berries for about an hour and a half, mountain goats, many bison( rut is starting), magpies, farangius hawk (lifer) and on the way out got to see a grizzly pretty close. Couldn’t have been better and he knew where and when to go to certain places to have the chance to see the wildlife we did. Several spotting scopes and took video and photos for us through the scope. Highly recommend. Debbie was great setting it up the day before the tour and where and when to meet to make it easier for our group.

We took the wildlife tour, and it was beyond our expectations. Ron was a great guide, full of useful information, and thanks to his experience and patience, we saw wolves, mountain goats, pronghorns, black and grizzly bears, and even a moose (seemingly very rare). Wildlife tours don’t get better than this.

My family of six had a fantastic tour with JR. We saw plenty of wildlife despite the hot summer weather and hazy visibility (nearby fires). In addition to the wildlife viewing, JR offered us stops at some of the other amazing attractions within Yellowstone. JR is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. We had a great picnic lunch at the end to wrap things up. This tour really saved us, as we were able to enter Yellowstone through the north entrance, which the public couldn't access due to recent flooding. If you're visiting Yellowstone, especially if you only have one day to spare, I highly recommend this tour.

All I can say is wow! Our guide Steve brought the knowledge of years of experience and was amazingly skilled at spotting a variety of wildlife. We saw a wolfpack, bears, elk, herds of bison, rare birds and a mountain goat! He has all the equipment to see them from a distance. We were relaxed and had all the food and drinks we needed. Definitely recommend!

We booked 3 private tours (Wilderness, Upper and Lower Loops) and they were all amazing! Debbie was wonderful to work with booking the tours. Ron, our guide, was fabulous! He was friendly, courteous, considerate and so knowledgeable. He gave us so much information and told great stories. We saw so much more than we ever could have seen on our own. Lunches were delicious, with more than enough food. Plus, not having to drive ourselves was such a pleasure. Thanks so much to Dreamin’ Adventures for making our stay in Yellowstone so special.

We had an excellent tour today with JR. Communication the day before was great answering last minute questions concerning pick-up time, location and what we might need to bring. He was prompt picking us up to start a wonderful day. His knowledge concerning the park and wildlife was great. We saw Big Horn sheep, mountain goats, bison, black bears, pronghorn, wolves, coyotes, fox, Bald Eagles, hawks and sand hill cranes. He and my daughter talked photography most of the trip and he was able to share tips and tricks with her. Highly recommend a tour to get the most out of your Yellowstone vacation.

We’d love to take your private tour, however our group is six and not five, 4 adults and two youths.
Is there another tour you offer that would accommodate us?
Thank you!

Given the road closures on the north loop expected to last through the end of the season, will you be able to offer these tours in September 2022? I read somewhere that guides might have access to the roads that the general public would not.
Written June 29, 2022
We are thinking of booking for next September There will be 4 of us staying at the Canyon Lodge. We'd rather not leave the park for lunch. What time do you start in the morning, knowing that wildlife are usually early risers? One of our group is a keen photographer. Is there still no cancellation policy if we book now:

If you look at Yellowstone Dreamin Adventure’s page here on Trip Advisor, I took most of the pictures in the slideshow on my safari with them in July. The pictures at the top of the mountain are from the Beartooth Highway. Ask for Ron or Rob.
