    Meh.
Suuuuuper overpriced. $100 for 4 people, full price even for adults, and just not a lot of bang for your buck. The tornado simulator and VR thing aren’t even included in admission. The ride lasts maybe 20 seconds. Lego builds are dusty. There are better things to spend $100 on.

    Tourist Trap
The facilities were sold out for the day so it was extremely busy. One of the rides was not working and one of our kids was too little to ride the other. We had gotten a better deal with the dual purchase of a ticket with Sea Life which we also don’t really recommend. The climbing area was rated for 4-12 year olds. With only a tiny corner rated for 3 year olds. With so many people, lines were long and it was difficult to maneuver around. It looked like a big arcade and was extremely loud. If you are into that you may find joy in a visit, the only thing really for adults was the Starbucks area. Neither of our kids are that into legos, so we thought there would be more Lego things built to look at, but that was not the case. We were done after about 30 minutes, but it took another 5-10 to find the exit and leave.

    Great stop with few kinks
Super for a half day of fun. Just long enough to not get overwhelmed. Little upsetting that the screen to save the princess was out & the woman running Merlins ride couldn't stand her job. Food quite pricey. However, this was great fun for the kids and added sea life was awesome.

    Over Priced
While it’s a bit entertaining, I actually found it lacking in Lego build opportunities. The part my niblings enjoyed most was the playground & you can find those for free at any park. And why list a separate ticket for kids and adults when it’s the same price. There are cheaper options at crown center that I would recommend.

took 4 and 7 year old. both loved
took for a mid day time killer and spent three hours there. it has some really creative things for any age girl or boy. lots of hands on and visual items that engaged the kids a lot. they limit the crowd per hour so very seldom were we overwhelmed by other family. its not cheap but frankly it was worth the money

Lego Land and aquarium visit in KC.
Lego Land/Aquarium combo. Rides and Wizard of Oz display. Aquarium was very interesting. Gift shop was fun. Loved doing the penny machine. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lego Land geared more for younger children.

    Disappointing and Discriminating
I am extremely disappointed that adults are not allowed entrance to the center without a child in the group. I am disabled, so building LEGO is one of my biggest hobbies since I am often stuck at home due to illness and physical limitations. We called ahead explaining this circumstance to whomever was in charge and they were unwilling to make an exception. I tend to gravitate toward attractions meant for children due to my health. I do not think it is fair to not allow adults into the facility. The only thing I enjoyed about this place was the retail store. They had a wide selection of LEGO sets that you do not find in other LEGO stores.

First time at LEGO land and my children loved it! The rides were closed because of COVID safety. The gift shop at the end was amazing.

    Fun, smaller scale LEGOLAND.
We came here on a little get away with our children. We have been to LEGOLAND in California and loved it, so we wanted to try it out. It is a nice place, and we did have a good time. It is much smaller scale than LEGOLAND in California, and was still $20 per person. There are two rides and a theater, which were fun for our 6 and 3 year olds. We came on a Monday during Christmas break and the place was PACKED. There is a little cafe inside as well as a Starbucks. A few hours is PLENTY to spend here.

    Overpriced
This place was very interactive for young kids and there were quite o few things to do even though the place is pretty small. I like the fact that the lego ninja 4d movie was free but the overall price is way to high. If your a family on a tight budget skip this one.

    I had to get escorted
My wife and kids were inside already, and they wouldn’t let me in without a child! Which is pretty great. Disneyland should do the same. I can’t tell you how creeped out I was by these single men waiting to ride Peter Pan by themselves at Disneyland. At LEGOLAND Discovery Center they were like “sorry sir, we can’t let you in without a child.” When I told them my kids were inside already you could tell they were a bit relieved. They had someone escort me around until I found my family. Place was super fun, my kids loved it and I did as well. Staff was friendly. The Harry Potter ride was fun and a perfect way to break up the LEGO games. Sorry this thing keeps auto-capslocking lego. The giant Yoda LEGO-made mural greeting you at the entrance was fun, but all I kept thinking was “Won’t be long now, kids are gonna see that and say ‘eew it’s Old Yoda.”

Between the aquarium and Legoland.....spent the whole day with lunch on site in the middle. Three grandkids...thankfully Mom and Dad were along too. I got a "thanks for a great day Grampa" out of it!

Took our 6 and 3 year old grandboys on a Wednesday afternoon when they were out of school. The boys both had a great time! Our 6 year old kept saying it was a lot more fun than he thought it would be. Kept them busy and happy all afternoon. From the adult side — we purchased tickets on line, so we did save some $ there (thankfully). It was plenty crowded with kids, surprisingly! Can’t imagine taking them on a weekend when it would be more crowded! There were several exhibits that really required explanation and staff help - which was not around. And there were too many exhibits/ride that we felt should have been included in the admission fee but were ‘extra’.....if you didn’t purchase on line, did some of the add-on things, bought a photo , had lunch or a drink or snack you could easily count on Spending around 50 a person...pretty expensive afternoon ! And, of course, you have to exit thru the LEGO store 🤣

    Had A Blast
We all love LEGOs in our house so we went on a recommendation of a friend. Order your tickets the day before for a discount. Mi would say it was worth the discount price but not full price. We spent 3 hours there between seeing the really cool exhibits, especially the Kansas City landmarks built out of LEGOs, hands on exhibits, & a couple of rides. The 4D movie was a lot of fun as well.

We had a wonderful visit during covid. We hadn’t been in over five years and were pleased with the updates to the center! My kids loved the rides and rode them multiple times. They did operate only one at a time due to safety during covid-one each alternating on the hour. We also enjoyed the individual tubs of bricks they gave you to build with-plenty of pieces for building as well as everything you need to make your race car. We loved the activity pack we purchased for $6.50 and he kids had fun collecting the stamps and prize at the end. We were a little bummed there wasn’t a master building class at the time but hope to visit again in the future. The best part was the friendly and welcoming staff!

My granddaughter did not like it and I thought it was a waste of money. We purchased tickets online ahead of time like the website suggested due to limited capacity. In my opinion it wasn't limited capacity, as it was wall-to-wall people. It was very hard to do any of the activities since there were so many people. If that was limited capacity, I would really not like to see full capacity :( Even if there weren't so many people, it was basically a lot of stations to build with Legos and nothing really exciting or special. We can do that at home for free. Definitely not worth the admission fees. My granddaughter loves Legos and was super excited about going, but wasn't impressed at all and very disappointed. The plus was the gift shop, which she loved! I could have saved the admission fees and spent it in the store and she would have been happier with that. Also, we purchased the Aquarium and LegoLand combo ticket, which was a waste. Even though we already had our ticket scanned to get into Legoland, we still had to get in line to have it scanned again?? We left. The line was out the door and we already waited in line once. Definitely do not recommend buying the combo ticket.

The experience promised a lot and was very underwhelming. The place was so crowded that it was hard to interact with areas the way they were designed to be interacted with. There were many kids running amuck and most interactive stations did not have any staff member to help kids form lines or take turns.

The one shining feature is the Lego models are great! It is nice to see the landmark buildings of KC in Lego form.

But for the most part, it was not the fun experience it was advertised to be. They required us to wear masks and a staff member called me out when I even lowered it to itch my face for a few seconds and yet hundreds of kids are all pushing the same buttons, handling the same lego, climbing on the same walls, touching the same stuff on the rides and are all in each others' faces with no cleaning in between. I'm not against masks but with all this going on, the requirement of masks seems more like pretend safety than actual safety.

The biggest upset of the day was that the Lego gift shop is not classified as an "official Lego Store" so does not give out any VIP Lego points, or accept any. They also do not follow any of the other stores for promotional give-aways or sets. We specifically chose the May the 4th weekend for the Star Wars promotion to travel all the way to KC and did not receive any promotions or even VIP points.

Nope. No. Never again. I wish we could get a refund. So expensive for that bull crap. We left after 15 min. It was PACKED. Pieces everywhere. Our kids couldn’t even build the cars necessary to use the ramps bc missing pieces and kids EVERYWHERE (which is pretty much the only lego building activity). Everything else had HUGE lines. Here’s what you can do: build cars and send them down the ramps, VR ride (extra $), and very small rock climbing thing (one kid at a time), a play gym for littler kids, a room with a few cool legs sets build (chiefs stadium, etc), and the rides. That’s it. Literally. That’s it. Don’t waste your money.

My husband and I took our two children, ages 7 and 4, and they had a blast! I would definitely recommend going earlier in the morning when they open to avoid the crowd, as it got very busy after a couple of hours of being there. We really enjoyed the Ninjago experience, the 4D Cinema, and the two rides at the beginning. Also, the Robot Activity Pass was a really fun addition to the experience. Overall, we would definitely go again!

This was a really expensive way to go look at someone’s souped up lego set. There are a couple rides included that seem like a step up from one of those traveling carnivals. My one son was delighted to have gone but given the fact that there was no way to use the kids get in free with adult admission coupon that has come in multiple sets and in the Lego magazine. I was quite disappointed. For around $150, I would thought that I would at least have left with a mini figure. But no you buy your own if you want them.

Our last trip to Kansas City was around two years and we visited the Lego attraction. We noticed no changes on the rides except for the VR games. I understand the capacity of the building is very small but maybe doing some small changes would help more. The only difference was we took our son when he was five, now he enjoyed it much better.

So went here while in town due to having a special rate.

Pros
Absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Probably the most genuine feel I have gotten from customer relations in a long time.

Easy to get to from parking and they validate.

Some cool stuff to see and ideas to give kids.

The shooting ride, the vr ride and the 3-d movie.

Cons
OVERPRICED

Not as much to do in there than what you think going in.

OVERPRICED

I bet on days that it isn’t snowing it is packed.

The coolest thing there (vr simulation) costs an extra $6 per person each time.

OVERPRICED

Saw only one guy going around and cleaning surfaces.

Our 6 year old LOVED it, we got tickets online and did the 9:00am slot on a Monday. There was not a lot of people here and we had a great time. We got to ride the ride first thing, we then did the wall climbing, the playground, the maze, all the legos stations and even met the gingerbread man. There is even a movie theatre. We enjoyed it, we will be back.

We took our grandkids to Science City one day and Legoland the next. There is no comparison. Legoland was more than twice the price. Science City kept the kids entertained for hours. We couldn’t get to everything Parents and grandparents also enjoyed the activities. At Legoland we saw a bunch of containers of lego pieces with no suggestions what to build. The whole Legoland experience made me feel ripped off as soon as I walked in.
