We went early on a cold school day so not very crowded. The employees were all very personable and helpful.
As adults who enjoy snorkeling we enjoyed seeing some of our favorite fish. There is an emphasis on education and conservation and there were three rescued sea turtles. We also enjoyed some of the unusual exhibits of different sea stars, sea horses and variety of fish. A nice collection, rather small, we spent about an hour and fifteen minutes at a very leisurely pace.
It's subdued lighting and very quiet other than people noise. Free validated parking in the indoor garage.
We had been to Legoland another time with kids and there is a discounted combo ticket that can be used within thirty days. We got tickets via Sam's club which provided a discount.
Fun to explore Crown Center shops and have lunch too.

Very expensive trip for my family of three. Adults on line tickets $25.25 each or $22 at the door and our child $18. Then you get to pay Kansas City 10% sales tax! So in total $75 for family of three. Holy Toledo and that is before they sell you the kid pack for $6. I don't know how a large family can afford a trip to this nice, but small aquarium. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful. Children were invited to get close while they fed the fish. Learning and knowledge sharing for kids everywhere. The fish displays were top notch, and the children hands on activities were in every room throughout and at the finish. Clean and well maintained, but I won't pay for a return trip, ever.

Went here for a quick activity while in the area. It is definitely aimed towards little children. We found ourselves crouching down a lot to see things because they were at the childrens' height. After visiting the Henry Doorley Zoo in Omaha, this comes no where close, but it is pretty good if you want to have a quick little stop at the aquarium. The price is pretty high compared to Omaha's zoo where you also get to see other things besides the aquarium. I would recommend this to families with small children!

If you’re planning on going there, don’t waste your money buying tickets online. Even though it’ll show tickets online as “sold out”, thats not true. You can literally show up and buy tickets. Oh and for military discount or whatsoever, yeah you might as well just buy tickets up front, not online. Let’s talk about the place. It’ll be nice if they do limit amount of people for each time “like they show on the website”, but they don’t. It’s crowded as hell, I’m talking about walking bumping others shoulder to shoulder. Don’t be fooled by the photos on the website. You can tell they used flash on cameras to take them (reflection). Some of the rooms are dark, and they don’t allow flash on camera to take pics, so good luck on taking good ones.

This is a wonderful aquarium for kids. The collection of sea creatures is remarkable. My three grandchildren, ages 11, 8, and 5, liked it even better than Legoland! They especially loved touching starfish and "painting" computer images of fish and projecting them onto a screen.

We love aquariums and when we visit a city that has one we always visit. This is not a large aquarium but with lots of sea creatures and a friendly atmosphere. Our favorite exhibits were the octopus, seahorses, jellyfish and most of all, sea dragons! Also saw sharks, eels, porcupine fish, stingrays and another favorite, sea turtles. Kind of geared toward kids but we loved it too.

Had a nice te with my kids . The parking is free in the building for weekend. Took a combo ticket for sea life and logoland. Not only kids but we will also enjoy it. If you have not seen shark egg, you have an opportunity to see and touch it. Nice interesting collection and my favourite was a sea water dragon . Don't underestimate the collection by just seeing the building, you have lot to walk and see. Staffs are very nice and explains things

Great outing even in the midst of everything going on. They kept the place clean and had multiple opportunities to use hand sanitizer or washing stations.

It is on the smaller side but it was a great size for taking younger children through and keep their attention. They also provide activities for older children to make it a more in-depth learning experience.

Decent but small aquarium for the price. It's not bad by any means, just slightly underwhelming. The walkways are narrow so with the crowds hard to pass people by or see anything. No real "wow" factor. There are two small underwater tunnels, a nice little sea turtle exhibit with live sea turtles, and some cool aquariums... but again... small. A good hour to really walk through.

What a fun time for little kids! The entire aquarium is meant for smaller children with all of the exhibits and viewing windows at their height. Our 18-month-old had a great time and kept wanting to go back to things we had already done. It took us a little over an hour to go through the exhibit, but would take longer with an older kid if you wanted to read all of the signs and information.
