About the operator
- LindaJCannon00Bring a hat and sunglasses for a day of fun blowin- in the wind. What a fabulous day! The boat ride to Islas Ballestas was so fun - bring a hat!. Then we went back to tour office and the drove us to the mini-buggy location. After donning a helmet, we were off - driving through town, out of town on the open road, and into the National Park. This is not "off-roading" - there are specific trails for minibuggies and motor bikes, etc., but still so much fun! We visited several different sites within the park before driving back into town. The only glitch was upon our return to the minibuggy location we were told to walk back to the tour office - but we didn't know where to go. The mini-buggy leader showed us how to get back to the main road, but we were still kinda lost. We found our way, though. It turned out that the tour operator had been out looking for us, as well. Kudos to Pisco Travel staff.
- johnleerskov100Best tour in PeruThis is the best tour you can possibly book! James is one of the best guides I have ever had, so friendly and accommodating
- harelru00Overall goodTook the buggy tour to Paracas reserve. Buggies are not in the best shape but the guiding crew made sure we get everything we need. Make sure to bring warm clothes.
- Mick c00The most exciting way to tour the national parkBy going on a small, private tour of the park we saw all the sites there without the crowds and had a thrilling ride on atv's to get there. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. Thankyou.
- HappyCanadian1300Cruise ship excursionBit of a rocky start. Eight people being picked up from the cruise ship port however we discovered we all have different pick up times (times ranged from 8 to 9 a.m. We were driven to the downtown location and asked to meet back later on. The downtown location is just across the street from vendors and the sea walk so not difficult to assume ourselves. Boat was quite large, two rows on either side, app 10 rows and two people per row (app 40+ people). Left at 10 returned around noon. Worth noting that two of the 8 people in our group had also signed up for the Huacachina extension and returned to the ship with time to spare. The boat tour provided a good view of the candelabro and circled the island to view penguins, sea lions, seals and a few birds. Overall, I would recommend.
- 911104500Mini GalapagosIt was nice tour. With warm weather. Easily approached from Lima. You can have tour from Lima or can go by your self. Good bus service is available from Lima but long traveling and nothing to see on the way. Over all it was nice tour.
- artisianswindow500AWESOME EXCITING TOURGreat boat ride, safety was first, the Islands were a great experience. There were only a few penguins but lots of sea lions, cormorants, brown boobie birds and more
- rhiannona93900Flawlessly planned and executedWe stumbled across James, of Pisco Travel, as we arrived in Paracas as two confused tourists looking to take the boat ride but having no idea how to do it. Firstly, he helped us translate a meeting point with our taxi driver and even took his number to contact him should we have trouble being picked up. We then swiftly continued to book the boat tour and almost immediately boarded and departed on the tour (shortly after James has helped us get a coffee and find some biscuits for breakfast!). The tour was incredible and our guide spoke perfectly translated English. My only advice to future tourists would be to contact Pisco Tours, James in particular, prior to your trip to avoid our confusion. However, thanks to James, our excursion to Paracas was one to remember (in a good way!).
- X3293SDelenam00Full-day paracasIt was great time and amazing nature views. Would recommend to everyone who would like to see wild nature of Peru
- MistyGrouper00Spectacular place but poor guidanceWe went to Paracas from Ecuador specifically to visit the Ballestas Islands. Those islands are absolutely worthwhile to visit. We ended up going 4 times, because, with the exception of one, all operators tried to make the visit much shorter than offered and passing by most sites very quickly without giving a chance to passengers on the starboard side to get close and take pictures. Also, guidance in most cases was very poor and basic. I am not asking for all tours for people with a minor interest to be very long and professionally guided. However there is no alternative for more expensive but longer tours. As a guide instructor in the Galapagos Islands I must say that the people in the Pisco department can and must do better in the future.
- MaryHB_1100Excursion planning by JamesJames, of Pisco Travel, organized and orchestrated two, very well planned, days for my 28 year old son and myself last week. We visited several attractions: the Lost Canyon, the Moron Oasis, the Huacachina Oasis, Tambo Colorado, and an amazing pisco production place - El Huerto. James spoke English well, and was very tuned in to all of our needs and interests. Our days were well-paced and informative. James knew just the right out of the way places to eat, and timed these stops well. He organized our transportation and guides as required. I would not hesitate to recommend James to anyone interested in making good use of their time to sight see while in the Paracas area.
