    What to Expect
Visit: The Shepherd Of The Hills, 5586 W Hwy 76, Branson, MO 65616-8129

During the 1800's, the Ozark hills were wild and untamed. Crime was rampant and law enforcement had a difficult time. Eventually, a group formed to help law-abiding citizens. Soon enough, this group became so powerful they were bending the laws for their own gain and they became worse than the criminals they originally formed to fight against.

This two-hour long production features a shoot-out, the actual burning of a log cabin, a mystery, a love story, and a moral message that is as true today as it was a century ago.

You will be introduced to fascinating characters as they arrive on wagons or horseback including the pillar of the community, Old Matt as well his son, Young Matt. Other characters include beautiful Sammy Lane, villain Wash Gibbs, the mysterious Shepherd, and the vigilante Baldknobber gang.

After seeing reviews on this show, we decided to try this. It was long, not my kind of show (just kept dragging on), the seating was uncomfortable, and the sound system was not sufficient. The fact that this venue is far from ADA compliant is...More

It's been a long time since we've seen The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama. It did not disappoint! The tram dropped us off pretty much right at our seat on the front row. It's such a small place that it makes you feel you...More

Parts were good, parts were community theater. You could tell those who knew their roles and played them out and those who were understudy level. Generally good, interaction with audience good, just a few roles needing refined

We did the day history tour and a short 4 zip line tour and went up in the tower as well as attended the evening play they were all well worth the cost and I would recommend them to anyone.

Great to see. Loved the message of love and patriotism. The show is interactive with the audience. Hurt, anger, forgiveness, love and friendship. Oh, and pyrotechnics.
