Band and Vocalists amazing! New Material Needed
The band is outstanding talent and kept the show rolling! New South Gospel is quite good —we all remarked we wanted to hear more of them, for certain. Jackie Brown is talented. Main reason for 3/5 is the show is mostly tired material. Seen this show 3 times in last 3 years and not much has changed in the material. The jokes are the same…and political at times—why? We wanted to escape the real world —why are you talking about Nancy Pelosi in 2024? Too much time spent on the “comic” Jim Dandy—not too funny and again same tired “jokes” several years old. We will give the show a break for a few years and hope for new material when we return. The singers and the band deserve better.

    Ho hum
We used to love this show but it has gotten very stale. This year we were lucky enough to catch it while Mike Patrick was gone. That was a plus, his voice is gone and he is a hasbeen.Just love Jamie Hagie, he is a great comedian. But other than that a lot of the skits are very old and stale. Most of the same stuff, year after year.

    Awesome Show
What an amazing show! We saw three shows while we were in Branson and this was the favorite. I'm not sure about the comedy in all the shows, but this one mixed some great country with some old time favorites like YMCA and had some terrific costumes as well. If you save a ticket stub from one show, they will give you $20 off another!

    Awesome show!
Great fun! A great variety of music, great harmonies and solos. A really great backup bandwidth contribute to the show! A great one to see! Fun family entertainment!

    Great show
Great range of music styles. You have to hear the bass singer to believe how deep his voice is. The crew looked like they were having fun performing the show.

Be ready for rather crude games
Well….. it’s high energy. Wish there had been more of the dogs… most of the show is audience participation contests…which I guess for younger kids is amusing…. Thought some of the humor which involved “ farts” and tossing pretend poop was really not in best taste. Dogs were best part of show definitely

    Great show
I personally would like more singing and less "humor". Lots of dead time from the MC and the "comedian". Very talented band and singers. Let them do their thing.

    Show was ok
This show has been one of our favorites in the past so we were surprised that it was just average this trip. There were several band member changes and it just seemed like a really off night. The jokes are the same as last year and the song choices were not as good as in the past. We really like New South and Larry Allred but the show needs some new energy. We prob won’t be going back for a while. Left disappointed.

    Dogs are amazing
We mainly attended the show to see the dogs, who were amazing. I love that they are rescues and the trainers did a great job. The show is spaced out with some jokes and pulling kids on stage to participate. It was fun to watch, and the kids did enjoy.

The show is now a three compared to a five before.
The two new comedians don't have the personality Applejack and Andy P had. They go through the motions and say the words but the enthusiasm isn't there. Which doesn't make the show near as fun. The new dancer Rachel has personality Plus. Really enjoyed her. The two new comedians try but their predecessors were so good I don't know if they will ever meet them.

Grand Country Grand Jubilee Tuesday night was a great show.
The Grand Cpuntry Music Hall is home to lot's of great show. On this Tuesday evening we chose to have dinner at the Grand Country Buffet and see the Grand Jubilee show. NEW South puts on an amazing show and Mike does a great job of keeping everything on Track. Lots of Comedy and overall an amazing show.

    Didn't Enjoy
I wanted so much to enjoy this, unfortunately I did not, it's my own fault I didn't read reviews or show description. I have been to shows with dogs and had tears down my face I laughed so much. I wanted this show to like that. I believe the name should be- tasteless poop humor, giggles and a few minutes of dogs. The actors were good, the little bit with the dogs was perfect, except they all did the same tricks. I do admire that they were taught to do them, but I would have liked variety. I ESPECIALLY ADMIRE THAT THEY WERE ALL RESCUES!! I'm glad my tickets were complimentary, I would be really upset if I paid for them.

    Just Say No
This was mediocre at best. All of the entertainers tried really hard but just not enough there. The best part was the musicians. Pretty talented overall but not featured enough. Too many songs from the “Country Cuties”. Basically, I would say skip it. The price is way too high for the caliber of the offering.

    Very boring and disappointing
This show was a massive disappointment. Almost the entire two hours is taken up by the cheesy hosts pulling audience members up on the stage to play really dumb games. And some of the games take a ridiculously long time to set up. If you’re not participating in a game it is mind-numbingly boring. Then hooray! Ten minutes of dogs, then an intermission and back to more audience games. Our group of seven (kids ages 5-12 were all bored out of their minds) left early and we are not terribly hard to please. For the amount we paid it was absolutely not worth it and we didn’t have another 40 minutes of patience in us before the dogs came out again.

Our bus tour used this show as a last minute substitute for another show that was cancelled. My review is very biased because I don't like this type of music.

Very good: The comedian was great! For me he was a major enjoyable part of this show. He reminded me of Cecil at the Presleys' Country Jubilee. If those two ever got on the same stage it would be a hoot. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the band slip in one rock song during the show. Blue grass fans and fiddle fans should absolutely love this show. I also liked seeing the performers in the lobby to meet you after the show.

As expected: The veteran tribute and the CD hawking. Does anybody still play CD's?

Needs work: Their small set of drums needs to be placed behind a glass. The drums were far too dominant in every song. One more thing. The seat quality in the theater is terrible:

Tip: I thought the Grand Country Buffet lunch quality across the lobby was great. Your mileage may vary.

We see this show every year but didn't realize when we booked it this year there had been some performer changes! Billy Yates was a great addition, he did a good job. The new fiddle player could play well but he lacked the flair the previous man had. The worst was the new female singer. She came across as a real "diva" and couldn't begin to match the previous singer. The comedian is always funny but he could use some new material. Seeing the show every year, many of his routines stay the same.

We come to this show every year. Jared is always hysterically funny. His imagination and cast of characters is always entertaining. There were changes to their musicians from previous years. Our group thought the music was better than ever.

Branson is such a wonderful place and all these shows are so much fun! We did three at the Grbad Jubilee. All were egret talent with a side of humor. The violin/fiddler at this show were terrific - wish I could add video here. And the drummer, he was amazing too! Check your hotel or a ticket place and get discounts every where and enjoy a few of these

We see this show every year when we come to Branson!! I enjoyed this one the most. Jarrett Dougherty, their comedian, was hysterical and high energy. The music was excellent, as usual. They are a very talented group. They showcased all of their musicians really well.

An excellent show with fabulous music and a lot of laughs. Thank you for hosting our large bus tour group and for the veteran tribute and adding some gospel to your show. It was refreshing to see you remember some of the country singers who are no longer with us when country was cool. Horn boy was terrific. And the spoof on the guy running for President I will remember for months...

Just loved it. Since Billy Yates and Kimberly Barber have joined the show it is much better than in the past. Jerred is a great comedian and always love Jamie Hage. Way better than Gran Country Jubilee.

Are you a fan of real country music and side splitting laughter? If you are then The Down Home Country Show is for you. It is a 10AM show but worth getting up for. Stop at the Grand Country Buffet for breakfast and then on to the show.
