I organised a SUP lesson for 8 people for one hour. Sarah was a fantastic instructor. By the end of the lesson all of us had managed to standup on the board, if not for very long. The equipment was great and well looked after. A great group activity or for anyone really.

It was the first time my 2 granddaughters (11 and 17 years old) tried out Stand-up Paddling. The operator was very friendly and encouraging. He told us we could rent one stand-up paddle board and that the 2 girls could paddle together or take turns to do it. He showed my 2 granddaughters how to handle the Stand-up paddle board. They found it easy to learn to handle the stand-up paddle board. They found the experience exciting and fun. Anyone 8 years old and above can enjoy it.

Brilliant service and great value!! We’ve now been kayaking and SUP with Mission Bay Watersports and on both occasions we’ve had a brilliant time! Nick and his team are awesome and it’s excellent value for money (especially with an Entertainment voucher). Will be back soon!!

Kayaking at the mission bay was a great experience. Our instructor was informative and helpful but also fun. It is very safe and the water if shallow so do not worry!

I came here with my mum, and she'd never been on a Kayak and I was nervous. However Nick and Lucy are terrific instructors who went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. They even entertained my mum while I was search for a park in the busy promenade. Thank-you guys so much for your hospitality, kindness and photos.

The most sparkling morning in Mission Bay today. Super calm and super warm for October. Still, I didn’t fancy getting wet and had scoffed when the Mission Bay Watersports crew promised me a “totally dry paddle boarding experience”. They obviously didn’t know how uncoordinated and off-balance I am as a general human being. HOWEVER. Sometimes miracles can happen. Paddled for an hour, learned all the sweet skills, AND they taught me so well that I didn’t even fall in. Utter legends!! Views from Mission Bay over to the city too – so great spot to enjoy the city without all the hustle bustle. Highly Recommended. Thanks Team.

This was my first time kayaking with Mission Bay Watersports and it was an awesome experience! Marius explained the guidelines in a simple and clear manner and the declaration form that I was asked to fill into wasn't a chore - it normally is. Their equipment is good and they have a small and accommodating team that can easily adapt to people of different needs. I highly recommend this company. Thank you Marius.

We wanted to give stand up paddle boarding a try. These guys were great. Just turn up and hire. They have all the gear, give a quick but thorough briefing before you on your way. Can do 30min or hour rentals.

Rebecca is a great teacher. Teaches you the basics first and in clear concise steps so you learn quickly how to get going on a paddle board. Good fun and good exercise too. Loved being on the water.

Great experience this weekend with Mission Bay Watersports. The equipment was decent & plentiful. Instructions were detailed but not laborious. Staff were helpful, special mention to Rebecca for a great lesson on the day & being accommodating when we had to change the day. Highly Recommended - 5*.

My husband and I arranged for a 90 minute SUP lesson during our Auckland holiday. We had Rebecca as our instructor and there were only 3 of us for the lesson so it was basically a private session! Rebecca was so nice and very knowledgeable. She competes and is very proficient at SUP! We had never done it before so were a bit nervous and had no idea what we were doing but by the end of the session we felt very confident and were having a blast! What we really liked about the lesson was that Rebecca didn't tell us everything all at once - she focused on one thing at a time. For instance, we learned our stance and how to stand up. And then once everyone had accomplished that, she told us to keep our arms straight while we paddled. After a bit of trying that, she told us to put our body into the strokes, etc. Had she told us all of that at once it would have been very overwhelming but instead she set us all up for success on the paddle board. Because they weren't busy that day we were able to have an extended time on the paddle board and were able to go out on our own! If you are even thinking of trying SUP, I would highly recommend doing it and booking with Mission Bay!

Missionbay watersports offered professional instruction and great friendly service when I on our last day in New Zealand wanted to try paddleboarding. Great also if your other half likes to enjoy the beach while you paddle. Lots of restaurants and cafes also nearby.

I can't believe how knowledgeable and attentive the staff at Mission Bay Watersports are. I had a private lesson and they provided me with enough confidence and training that I was able to stand up my first time out! You can tell that they are passionate about what they do!
