He really did well in finding tracks that were fun and the right level of difficulty for us. As part of the prize and logistics we had flights, hotel, car hire and of course white water rafting included. We filled in the waiver, booked the trip and received confirmation from Outdoor Norway. We planned our weekend around this exciting event. When we arrived at the meeting point we were told that there was no booking for that day and they could not take us as they had no instructors available. Even though we had received confirmation the folks at Outdoor Norway said that they had a reservation for next week. We had paperwork with the outdoor Norway headed paper that stated the date we arrived. Clearly a poor cover up for their incompetence. Completely ruined the prize event and weekend away. Ironically I received an email to review my experience the next day! So I ask myself, why would an email to review the experience be issued if the booking was for next week as they claimed!!!Written September 21, 2024

The waves were especially big in the beginning that I felt like I was on a rafting trip. Instead of wishing the weather were different, we got on with it and made it a memorable experience. Mahon was an excellent guide, he always looked after everyone's safety. It was physically challenging but the magnificent view more than made up for it. I would do this all over again. It was a beautiful river as well. The kayak paddling on the fjord was peaceful and the experience was just what we wanted. With Daniel as our head guide and Alex as the second mate, we had lots of fun and enjoyed being with the other family too! Overall, our time with Outdoor Norway was definite highlights of our trip to Western Norway. After 1 hour, the chain fell on the ground, without doing anything. We were lucky to find a local who fixed the chain. But then we could only use 2 speeds... By giving back the bikes and explaining the problem, we expected to get a discount or something, knowing in addition that the bike had the bottle holder and the bell broken... This was a fantastic experience especially as it was our first time. Right from the start communication to the company was good even though the company changed our times they provided several options.
Downside is parking, you can find parking within 5 minute walk you do have to pay.
Great things and there are many!!… instruction right from the start… how to wear the gear… they provide everything including dry suits, shoes, wind proof gear and helmet and life jackets.
We travelled about 20 mins to the start point and then got detailed instructions how to paddle and all the commands then we practiced. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I felt really safe in Mohan raft. He was professional and a great guide with a wicked sense of humour at no point did I feel unsafe.
The rafting was exhilarating and after passing one rapid I was excited for the next. Mohan really got all 7 strangers working together great.
One word of warning, you may need to get out of the river to bypass the waterfall and although the team had roped this section it was slippery underfoot in places but we were advised to take care and use the safety rope for support.
At the end of the rapids it really gave us a buzz and we would of repeated in a heartbeat!
The hike at the end of the rafting back to the transport was uphill and required some deep breathing, I am 59 !
Lastly but sadly I cannot remember everyone’s name but Mohan my guide was amazing and a real credit to the company. He made me feel so safe and great when we accomplished the rapids as a team. All the crew were outstanding at what they did including the safety team in the canoes and the camera men. Great day and I cannot recommend this enough, absolutely amazing experience.

Booking was quite simple & all the information was available on the page.
This was my first time doing water rafting, and Nick did a great job simplifying the safety talk.
After that, our captain Mohan took us along this great experience between rapids, calm pools and to swim at a small waterfall, too!
His guidance during the rafting experience made it fun and also assured that nobody fell off the raft! (Even if someone fell off, we've been told what to do & Nick was also available in a separate Kayak to help).
I was solo with another solo traveler and a group of 3, and the whole trip felt like I was with a group of buddies, as everyone was having fun and helping each other.
The weather was calm without rain, so the trip was considered a Class 3 rafting trip. If it had been raining, it would've become Class 4, in the same river and route.
Big thanks to Mohan, for convincing me to take a dip in the very cold, but refreshing, water, and making this first rafting experience a fun & memorable one.
Mohan & Nick's sense of humor are the cherry on top of this cool experience.

With my 2 daughters aged 16 and 14, an American family and our Nepalese Guide Moham we had a fantastic experience. After extensive, clear safety instructions from another Guide first 20 minutes in calmer water team building by Moham. Right forward, left back. All forward, hard forward. Very funny how you turn into a rafting team in 20 minutes as a group of 8 men. Then down the swirling river. Very nice and did not feel unsafe for a moment; recommended

Went for whitewater rafting last week. We thought we had chosen a nice activity for the rain, but chose the more expensive version (compared to the family version) because we wanted some action. Unfortunately the river was too high, this seemed to be known in advance, but the guide let us get into the boat and after less than 10 minutes he let us know that the river was too high and rising too quickly. We did this small section 3 times, which meant we had to drag the boat 3 times and sit in the car for 2 minutes. In short, a major disappointment, we hardly saw nature, every time we got into it and it became fun we had to get out and towing the boat was certainly not optimal. The guidance tried to make something of it, but we were just hoping for a nice experience. It was absolutely not worth the 240 euros, not a good activity for a lot of rain.
As surfers we understand that the weather must be taken into account, but then the activity must be canceled. That was a major setback. The guide could not do much about this, but we got the idea that the organization could plan this better and prevent it. There was no compensation. We now have the feeling that we didn't raft, which is a shame.
In addition, there is no parking and no toilet, this is indicated in the email, but the toilet that is mentioned 400 meters away is in a building where many signs state that this is not for people who do not use the facilities in the building. We personally found this very sloppy.
Our tip: don't do any activity before it rains a lot or ask the organization if it will really take place!

Both the river and the rafting were a beautiful and exciting experience. Stunning views and a super clear and challenging river for us as unexperienced participants. I (50+) was with 2 teenagers (13 and 15) to join the group.
The guides were very professional though and although the whole ride was quite challenging for us it was definitely doable and a very safe and well prepared trip. All thanks to Mohan who was very professional and he made our trip also a fun experience too.
With three rafts and a pro guide on each boat we went through the river. A must do for every traveller close enough to the Voss area.

We had an amazing time rafting with friends! The scenery was absolutely stunning, and the experience was made even better by the perfect weather we were lucky to have. The guides were friendly, experienced, and made sure everything felt safe while keeping the fun levels high. Be prepared to get drenched ;) but don’t worry, the equipment provided kept us warm the whole time. It was an unforgettable adventure, and I recommend it for anyone looking for an exciting and scenic outdoor activity!

Amazing experience ! It was the 1st time I did rafting.
The guide, Mohan, helped us a lot and gave us a lot of tips and advice. He was also very kind and helpful. He brought a lot of joy to the activity.
The rafting itself was incredible and not dangerous. We had a lot of fun.
To be noted, a another guide took pictures and we could bought them for 300 NOK at the end of the activity.
Totally worth it !

This rafting trip was our highlight of our trip to Norway. The kids LOVED IT! They were doing backflips off the raft and dancing in the van traveling to and from the river. Our guide, Ben, was so sweet and funny! Almost everyone fell out of the boat or jumped out of the boat. It was an exhilarating change of pace at the end of a wonderful vacation.

Gabe and Casey were great, knowledgeable guides . Felt safe but at the same time exhilarating. We were a group of 9, kids and adults and thought it a great activity to do together. The slots available online did not suit us so we gave them a call and because we were a big group we were able to procure a time that fit our itinreary way better. We had so much fun. Thank you!

Simply superb. Highly recommend and a must do. Very professionally organized and our rafting guide Dawid was really cheerful and made this more pleasant.
This is definitely good for everyone who is new to rafting and/or not have much experience before.
They provided wet suits/jackets/lifejackets and it is ideal to wear just swim shorts or underclothes for men and swimsuits for women. So come prepared and avoid any cotton wear at all cost.
This activity is for all ages and I am sure young ones would love it more than us adults :)
