The tour was informative and the grounds were beautiful. Very good at showing the differences between the lives of the slaves and their owners. The restaurant was very good as well.

Wow did we have an awesome time out on the fan boat tour with Dewy yesterday. I learned so much about the land, the wildlife and the area. Dewy did such a good job as our tour guide and making the tour such a memorable experience. Thanks again!

Absolute 5 star day!! Kenny was THE best guide ever. The massive alligator that he got to come all the way up to the boat was unreal! Cannot recommend this trip enough!

The Louisiana Tour company are fantastic. They had the difficult task of rearranging all the tours due to Hurricane Francine and were very accommodating. Jim, the tour guide of the Destrehen Plantation brought history to life and the swamp air boat trip with Rocky was amazing (better than any other swamp tour I have taken) - so much knowledge and fabulous sights!

Kaylee let our plantation tour and she was absolutely amazing very informative very knowledgeable and just really sweet for the alligator tour. We had Captain Jason. He was absolutely amazing again just so knowledgeable. We saw a lot of alligators and of course we got to hold a baby alligator if you go, you definitely want Captain Jason.

Lots of fun, saw quite a few alligators and our guide was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I think his name was Dewy. He made the experience well worth it.

One of the highlights of my first trip to New Orleans. Darren our guide was hilarious with a bespoke musical playlist to accompany the places we saw. Really excellent tour and have been recommending it to everyone. See pic of Joany on the pony 😄

It was good but not great. The tour of the big house with Wes wasn’t that impressive. We only learned about the family and the house, not much about the plantation or the atrocities that occurred there. We come late to the slave presentation with Steven which was great and we learned a lot in a fun way with him! I wish we could have stayed for the entire presentation but our bus left at 2:30. The store was nice the pralines and drinks were great

My friend and I were only in NOLA for 48 hours and knew we wanted to do a tour of some kind but didn’t quite know which one, but I’m so glad we picked this! Dooey (hope I spelled that right) was our guide and he was great! Very informative and took us to see a lot of gators! If you’re visiting the NOLA area make sure you book this once in a lifetime experience to be up close with gators!

We had the bus ride included in our package. The driver there was great. I think his name was Gary. He was funny at times, serious on other more sad stories, he told stories from growing up in New Orleans, history of the city, his personal experience going through Hurricane Katrina, ghost stories he's been told, just all kinds of facts about the city and surrounding areas. The plantation was beautiful, the grounds were very well taken care of, tons of beautiful photo ops and then getting to walk through the house with our tour guide i think her name was Julia, and hear stories of both owners and staff that lived and worked there was eye opening, educational and interesting. The store had typical touristy offerings, and the little food offerings in the store were good. Basic sandwiches and such. We didn't try the restaurant as we didn't have enough time but would have if we could have. Then, we went to Louisiana Swamp Tours for the airboat ride. Trey was our boat driver, and he was amazing. Gave so much information, made sure we got to see everything we wanted, and gave plenty of time for photos and videos. We were surprised how many alligators we got to see as well as other wildlife, including coyotes, and even got to hold a baby 2 yr old alligator. He also made sure to answer all our questions before moving on. Overall, it was an awesome experience with everyone we encountered. Highly recommended!

What an awesome adventure! Ian was a great tour guide and kept folks of all ages entertained including a little guy. Enjoyed seeing the alligators and other wildlife. Highly recommended. Great value!

Captain Dewey was great! Loved the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We saw a lot of alligators, a beautiful owl and swamp cows!! 😂

LA Tour Co. Captain Ernie was awesome. Great knowledge of the swamp in general and Alligators, specifically our favorite was "Bubbles".

This tour, with our guide Jason, was even better than we had expected! I love nature, and I was worried that this tour might be just a boat ride to see some alligators. However, Jason was passionate about the wetlands, and we learnt about the different types of ecosystems that we saw, the vegetation in these wetlands and we saw a couple of different bird species which was cool. The gators were still the main attraction, and we managed to see quite a few!! It was interesting to learn about them too. Our tour guide lured them closer to the boat with marshmallows, which meant we got to see them nice and close. We'd been put off by reviews saying that marshmallows were fed to the gators, but Jason explained that because they're cold-blooded, gators don't react to sugar the same way we do - in fact, sugar is basically meaningless to them and the marshmallows are just empty calories. The gators are opportunistic feeders and will just eat them because they feel something fall into the water. This really put our minds at ease. We felt really comfortable with Jason as our tour guide and the tour exceeded our expectations. It was also really useful being picked up and dropped off right at our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour!
