About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- harrywK5530NK0 contributionsAll in all, this tour was fantastic and one of the highlights of our trip to Bali. For this journey, I could not suggest more Eco Tours. Along the journey, the guide knew the finest areas to stop and was highly informative. There were plenty of delectable breakfast and coffee breaks. The hot springs were also a fantastic way to end the visit!Written October 28, 2024
- Eliorakng170 contributionsExcellent family experienceAn excellent full day activity starting with a good breakfast at a gorgeous view, a trip to an eco-coffee place with also a gorgeous view. Followed by the cycling. The road is downhill all the way, we barely needed to pedal. However this is still a road with some traffic so whoever is riding should be able to control a bicycle going downhill and avoid the potholes (very few) and keep to the side away from vehicles. Still there was an emphasis on safety throughout. One guide was always behind and on the lookout for stragglers. And the van followed us throughout so that if anyone needed to tap out early it was possible, and they could go rest on the van. We had two pit stops, one at a traditional bali family house where my toddler son had a lot of fun with their children in the garden, and one to a small temple where a small snack of sweet bananas was provided. Lunch was decent at a lovely place with a fountain. And the last part of the trip, the waterfall was interesting. I realised I don't like swimming in waterfalls but it was an intersting experience nonetheless.Written September 8, 2024
- Go366788275310 contributionsGreat day out away from busy streetsGreat day of cycling through the beautiful landscape. Our excellent guide Gustu shared his knowledge of Balinese life and customs. Highly recommended.Written August 31, 2024
- Sewing B0 contributionsOne of the best family days out everWe had a brilliant day with Mudita and team. It was well organised and structured, the pick up was punctual and we enjoyed our breakfast with an amazing view of Mount Batur to start the day. The ride was easy on quiet roads and tracks through villages, rice paddies, stopping at a family home & small holding, a temple, rice fields and more. All along the way, everyone wanted to say hello and wave. Such beautiful people. Mudita shared so much about Balinese family life - it was fascinating. Lunch was delicious and our trip to the waterfall rounded the outing off nicely. Our 17 and 21 year old said it was their favourite day of the holiday. Cannot recommend enough.Written August 11, 2024
- M487WQkarens0 contributionsGreat day cyclingAbsolutely loved this experience with my teenage son. Safe and easy cycling with mostly downhill hardly had to pedal, just glide along! Our tour guide Wayan was very knowledgeable with good English and took great care of us. Thank you 🙏Written July 19, 2024
- BoardingPass6558580 contributionsSee the Real BaliA unique experience to be able to enjoy and witness the real Bali. I've never ridden 20km and only pedalled a handful of times. The guides are so friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommendWritten July 19, 2024
- helentB466GE0 contributionsFantastic family fun.I can't recommend this for highly enjoy. Our guide Edi and driver were both fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble. We could take our time, never pressured to pressured to buy anything, food was fantastic, two great meals in two very different but beautiful settings. The mnt Bing was fun, all down hill, we especially enjoyed the if road trails through the rice paddies. Then a great swim at the waterfall to finish. Excellent value for money, a great family day out. Thanks so much!Written July 17, 2024
- grahamjA7537KP0 contributionsA fun day exploring the real Bali.A Very informative culturally educational experience . Tour guide was very friendly and accommodating. The bikes were well maintained and everyone in the group was able to cycle the route as it is mainly downhill. It was our 2nd time on this trip and we took our friends who had never been to Bali before. They also loved the experience.Written July 10, 2024
- gracewW1976WN0 contributionsFun, interesting eco cycling tourMy two friends and I did the Bali Eco Educational Cycling Tour. The guide was very relaxed, friendly and knowledgable and made our trip a lot of fun. The cycling scenery was really beautiful and almost all a cruisy downhill. The fruit, coffee, typical Balinese home and honeybee stops were really interesting. I particularly liked the honey stop - so interesting to see native bees up close. Food stops were delicious and adequate. Overall a great experience of some of the quieter parts of Bali. Would highly recommend this your company.Written September 8, 2023
- cprosp0 contributionsNice serviceGood service and had a nice morning with them. Unfortunately no sunrise view from Mount Batu but that's not their fault! Getting up at 1am was maybe a little too early - it could have been 1 hour later. Staff were great and the drive was safe. I recommend this tour company.Written September 8, 2023
- Isobel B0 contributionsUbud TourOur Tour was a really great experience, our guide Shandy and driver Buddy were very good at their jobs, nothing was too much trouble and if we wanted to miss something out, that was ok too. Our lunch was good and not rushed. Very enjoyable.Written September 3, 2023
- darrencY7351BR0 contributionsUbud rice fields walkMy husband and I did the Ubud rice field and temple walk. It was a great experience and we were taken to places where there was no one else around! We walked through rice fields, across the river and through the jungle to view temples that were one thousand years old! We were ready to go after trying Luwak coffee in the morning and had refreshing fresh coconut water on the way. The day ended with a nice lunch. The guide and driver were friendly and informative. Highly recommend!Written March 10, 2023
- O5238JGrebeccaf0 contributionsFantastic Tour guideOur tour guide Madito (hope I’ve got that right) was super friendly and knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had. He made us feel really welcome and comfortable straight away. It was also great to see some of the rural parts of Bali with some spectacular views. All in all a wonderful experience and well done to our amazing tour guide! Jack and RebeccaWritten December 1, 2022

- Storyteller6323370 contributions500 Years and 20k in One DayGetting started on a trip of a lifetime! We are so happy to recommend Bali Eco Cycling! The whole day tour was a revelation of THE Bali! The staff and everyone we were introduced to were so friendly and helpful in understanding each part of the day’s activities, such as stopping at rice paddies, visiting a host family compound with a tour of their farm, a coffee plantation, and an ancient banyan tree. A great breakfast buffet with a view of Mount Batur, weather permitting, and a delicious lunch at the end of the ride. Bikes and gear were provided as well as rain ponchos and refreshments. Very informative and pleasant! You are going to be amazed! A special thanks to our guide Wayan! Suksma! Lynne and Keith AndreeWritten October 20, 2022

We were after a half day tour, most options seemed to be full day tours with other companies. This was perfect, an interesting route and very good tour route. Good quality bicycles too (normally on these things I find chains come off bikes or gears don't work - no such problems here!). Good value. Dewa the tour leader was very good too. Recommend.

A very pleasant bicycle-tour. Down-hill. Cycling trough small streets, no traffic. It was very nice to be away from all the noise and tourists in Ubud. Visiting a village, looking at temples, rice-fiels ( we were able to 'help' the farmer in the field).
Our guide, Wayan Dolar, was a very good guide: he speaks English very well, took al the time, we had a lot of questions and he all answered them.

Thank you for recommending our Bali Eco Educational Cycling Tour, which is a full-day tour including pick up, drop-off, breakfast and lunch. As the route is mostly downhill, this is a pleasure cruise through rural Bali with lots of educational stops.
The Ubud Eco Culture Cycling Exploration is a 3-hour round-trip that starts and finishes at the Peliatan Socer Field in Ubud. This trip can be quite strenuous as it has long uphill sections.
I'm including this so people reading don't book the wrong activity. Thanks for recommending us!

My mum and I went on a private tour, due to last minute booking/ not enough numbers with Kadec for 2.5 hours in the morning & it was a beautiful and amazing way to see Ubud! We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great workout & we often stopped to take breaks and enjoy the view! Kadec was very insightful & accomodating- as we preferred riding & asking questions along the way as appose to stopping at the usual tourist spots. Easy location to meet via our hotel driver, great bikes, helmets & water provided. Extra cost for private tour of 15-20 USD.

Our tour was wonderful! Beautiful surroundings, frequent stops whenever we wanted. Local wayung served fruit half way, busy road riding then through the rice fields was a great contrast.

Fun and scenic cycle through north Bali countryside meeting locals and learning a lot along the way.
Very informative tour with Mudita - only 2 of us on the tour so we skipped the coffee plantation visit and enjoyed the breakfast overlooking Mt Batur before freewheeling through ‘real’ Bali for a few hours (with the very occasional hill) . Mudita was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and we had many stops to see a traditional Bali house compound, rice harvesting, Nyepi statue building . Very easy ride but great to get away from touristy areas- cycle route was very quiet . Finished with nice lunch and side trip to a waterfall (optional)

Great tour! Friendly, knowledgeable guide and interesting stops along the way. The riding part was easy almost entirely downhill with just a few short (like 50m max) up hill stretches. Bikes were well functioning and safe.
The waterfall/swim stop at the end was beautiful and a perfect way to finish.

Wonderful cycle tour with Mudita, he is very knowledgeable, kind and funny. We tasted some new fruits (the one with the snakeskin) and could take a break whenever needed. Very much worth doing.

Don’t eat before you go cuz there’s a hearty breakfast waiting at the volcano! Nice excursions include the gardens with coffee/tea tasting, a home along the route, and a door carving shop. 25 kms of mostly downhill biking at a decent pace. Off road views throughout. Great guide and the bikes were in good shape, meaning all the brakes worked just fine. Highly recommend an exceedingly pleasant way to spend xmas!

Having mistakingly thought it was all downhill, the experience of the half day ride made a few hills for my unfit body well worthwhile. Trust me, if I can do it, nearly anyone can.
We had a small group and our guides Bagoos (not sure of spelling sorry) and Hari (on his very first tour) gave me much confidence and all of us, plenty of wonderful information. I feel like I've "seen" Bali now. Such an awesome and cost-friendly tour. Plus you get the bonus of exercise! Couldn't recommend anymore highly.
