        Camarones Location is the best!
We went with Jesus from the Camarones location, and it was absolutely amazing. Our family was well taken care of and had lunch afterwards on the beach. The tour takes 3 hours or so, but you see so much nature the time goes by quickly. We saw 1200 flamingos at once and a few hundred taking short flights. The 2nd location requires an SUV given its terrain, so although its shorter to the birds a van/taxi WILL NOT make the terrain. The Camarones location is easy with any vehicle to visit.

One of the best experience I’ve ever had in Colombia. Thank you so much to our guide (Pedro) and translator (Luis). I highly recommend it.

        Great hike, credit card fraud
The tour itself was incredible however someone at the office decide to take my credit card information and go wild charging over $8000 to it. Had to cancel my card but it was a pretty major inconvenience to come back to after a long hike.

        interesting experience
This was definitely an experience. The landscapes were incredible! Unique mix of desert and sea with basically no one else around. However, we spent a lot of time in the car. In addition, we drove through extremely poor regions where the villagers are asking for food and water. One certainly feels like a privileged, white person being driven around, with proper meals and drinks, while the local people are struggling next door. The kind of trip that makes you think. Our guide was not really a guide, more of a driver. He was an incredible driver! A good man with a good heart that cared about the indigenous people. However, we were a bit disappointed since we were expecting a guide that would tell us about the history of the area and the people's customs. If you asked he would volunteer some information, but otherwise stayed quiet. If the guide tells you to get some cookies to give to the kids, don't get just one pack. Buy ALL the cookies! I booked directly with Toburu because it was discounted price. They had different prices based on the size of the group. We were just two people so we paid a steeper price but still shared the tour with 4 other people. The actual tour was done by Altaguajira, Toburu tours organized our trip with them and arranged transport from Palomino to Rihocha (and back, though the driver showed up 1 hour late).

        A unique mini adventure.
This was quite an unexpected thrill. We actually rented a car and took a road trip so for us getting there was super easy. We pulled off the main road into the sanctuary where we paid a small fee. A guide hopped in the car (it’s mandatory to enter with a guide) and we took a ten/15 minute drive on a very sandy, unpaved road. We then parked and got on a small canoe/sailboat and made our way into the waters where flamingoes stood in the far distance (take binoculars!!) Our guide paddled us out to get a much closer look and we saw hundreds and hundreds of flamingos. Truly a site to see. We stayed on the water for about 20 minutes and then took a leisure sail back. Truly a highlight of the trip.

        Hermoso lugar para visitar
I did this trip with Jordan, I am a solo woman traveler and I felt secure and comfortable. The trip is kinda long and the beauty of the place is indecritible, the peace, silence and respect we need to enjoy the flamingo 🦩in their natural life. I entirely recommend Jordan he knows better the region since he is Indian from the region he is certified and has a extensive knowledge of bird's species, besides he recommended a place for lunch very tasty.

Amazing (but tough) hiking tour through the jungle. Amazing views, and the lost city was quite breathtaking! Teyuna 👌✅🥰
Wow, what an experience for a family of four. Very challenging but rewarding at the same time. Our teenage boys were pushed to their limits (but so were we!) Amazing organisation by Teyuna Tours. They did a fabulous job. Pipe was the lead but only spoke Spanish. Stiwen was our English speaking guide and we loved him! He really looked after us so brilliantly. And then there was always Samuel in the background. Quiet and polite, he was always there with a helping hand and a beaming smile! Noel and Leon say HI 🙋🏻‍♂️ Food and accommodation was fine, obviously not luxury but sufficient nonetheless. We ate so much! I’d definitely recommend Teyuna Tours and this trip to the Lost City.

        Better than expected!
We love animals and wild life so we decided to take this one day trip to Los Flamencos, lots of agencies offered this tour but only one had it with an English speaking guide which was very important for us since we wanted to understand everything about the place. It was very informative and we did not expect so many beautiful flamingos in this sanctuary. Also the encounter with the Wayu indigenous people was a unique experience that I would never forget, Please do not miss this tour if you are in Palomino!

        Amazing Tour! Amazing Experience!
The 3 days tour to Punta Gallinas & Cabo de la Vela was incredible, we were very lucky that our tour guide was so charmy and knew everything about the place, La Guajira is a wonderful place in Colombia, full of colors and great scenery, the beaches around the place are so wonderful, and punta gallinas located in the far north hemisphere of the south American continent is a place with unique energy and beautiful landscapes, Amazing! is all I can say...

Wow!! that was Amazing! the visit to the Tungueka Indigenous tribe was unforgettable, they are amazing people, it was lovely to learn more about their culture and tradition, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind, we were a group of 4 and he was all the time making us feel great. The whole way to the village is unique around the forest, please do not forget your mosquito-repellent, then we went to the river and a waterfall and we swim there for sometime, the atmosphere was soo beautiful! definitely recommended!
