About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Sharon W0 contributionsGreat dive shop and customer service! We came to Palau on a very limited schedule on a cruise and really wanted to dive. I corresponded with Olivia several weeks before our arrival, and she assured me they could work with our limited time. All I can say is they delivered! They had a van waiting for us as soon as we got off the ship, fitted us with equipment, and off we went. We were able to get in 2 great dives (we had to cut our last dive a bit short), but they dropped us off at our tender stop exactly when we requested. Such great and personal service! I highly recommend Neco Marine and Olivia as a contact as well as a superb DM!Written March 15, 2024
- spyroo20210 contributionsBest diving of my lifeDiving with Neco Marine, I managed to fit in 42 dives over 19 days. These included amazing wall dives, wreck dives, cavern dives, night dives, drift dives, macro dives and just an amazing array of different options that blew my mind in one single part of the world. I also got to join along on a land tour of Peliliu, as well as what I have wanted to do for 12 years, which is visit the famous Jellyfish of Palau. I have over 3000 dives over the last 12 years and nothing has ever compared to the diving I did here. Diving with Olivia (Liv) was an immense pleasure. She is so knowledgeable and safety and detail oriented that you knew you would not only have amazing dives, but learn something on every dive too. The ability she has to show you a variety of different wildlife and topography is unparalleled. I got to buddy along with Mandy too, to look for the macro that is everywhere, though overshadowed by the amazing big life in the area. When you see sharks on every dive, it is nice to also slow down and look for the critters hiding in the holes too. She brought us out to the German Channel, as she had been watching the tides and we had a spectacular last day with 6 manta rays just wheeling away in the morning. Juel is a superstar and never stops working and trying to give you an amazing time. How his eyes can spot all the little creatures he does is beyond me, as I have made it a habit to be the person who finds the little guys, but he puts me to shame. He is always there, busting his ass to get everything ready, while having a massive smile and looking super excited to go for every dive. Clayton has dived in Palau for his entire life, and you can see it. We went out for a snapper spawning morning dive and there were about 10 boats out there and all of them had their eyes on Clayton, waiting until he gave the OK for us to enter the water as he spotted where and when the activities started. Iked is a pleasure to dive with and discuss diving and the world at large with. It was unfortunate that he was so busy while I was there, as I would have loved to join him on some more photography dives. The captains, Tim and Fraser were great. Always got us to and from our dive sites so smoothly and were always right on hand to pick us up regardless of where the current brought us. And a pleasure to share the boat with each day.Written November 17, 2023

- Elaine S0 contributionsEpic diving in PalauEpic diving with Clayton- Olivia and Joel and the captain from Neco marine. 6 incredible dive sites over 3 days. The boat was very comfortable and set up perfectly for diving and the staff were incredibly helpful- getting our gear ready- helping us suit up- and pointing out so many different fish underwater! We felt safe at all times and hope to be back ! Thank you Neco marine for making our diving here special!Written February 21, 2023
- 412BernardG0 contributionsAwesome experience with Manta Rays!Very professional at every step of the process. From booking enquiry, through making recommendations, conducting PADI Open Water Advanced course to the very last moment of the trip! I would highly recommend Neco Marine who wants to have a great, frictionless experience in Palau. I hope to return one day when direct flights from Singapore open up! Make sure you visit Ulong ang German Channel dive sites!Written November 29, 2022
- tedhK1252MP0 contributionsWow!Had a fantastic day out with Ben and Kayo and the team. Amazing diving, lunch on the beach and ride back through the islands. Many thanks. Hopefully back soon. TedWritten November 11, 2022
- cwhite99010 contributionsNautilus Dive was amazingNeco Marine took us on a dive of a lifetime: to see the Nautilus. The cost of the trip is a bit pricey but it is a huge effort (2 boats, 5 people) to make it happen so it was well worth the cost. Neco's staff is very professional, Helen was our divemaster and she was great, one of the best DMs we have ever had. The experience was amazing and we saw 13 Nautilus! I highly recommend this very professional dive operation and can't say enough about how professional and pleasant all the staff at Neco are.Written March 17, 2022
- AdelZ0 contributionsOne of the very best dive centers in the worldI just finished 2 weeks of diving at Palau with Neco Marina, the diving far exceeded my expectations. I have dived in 42 countries and used many dive centers. By far Neco is right at the top. The organization is run by a family that are passionate about the diving, they know their Ocean and the marine life here. They have intimate knowledge of the diving sites, fish habitat and will provide second to none guidance. The dive center and store is fully equipped with a great selection of dive gear. The equipment is excellent including the many boats they run, and the personalized service is exceptional. You leave the gear at the boat at the end of a day’s diving and they take care of handling it, washing it, and bring it back well organized to your seat at the boat, you can’t ask for more. They visit all of the best sites on the islands and you get a choice of terrific lunch including fresh sea food that they serve between dives. I highly recommend Neco for unequaled diving experience at Palau, one of the best diving destinations in the world.Written January 22, 2022
- wilsonb2720 contributionsSaved our vacationWe have traveled all over the world and have been to numerous dive shops and Liveaboards. Neco Marine is absolutely a step above all of them. We had our trip canceled aboard a Liveaboard due to the staff getting Covid. Neco called in guides just for us, after hours. They have taken us to all the furthest dive sites. Made a special trip to Jellyfish Lake and Milky Way. They served us lunch every day. They honestly have been the most accommodating shop I've ever had the pleasure to dive with. They also have the largest most equipment retail and rental on the island. If you are diving in Palau, you really need to dive with Neco Marine.Written January 14, 2022
- samuelchiayk0 contributionsLife with neco marineThey were amazing! Knowing the in’s and out’s and loved the way they operate! Brought me out for my first few dives in Palau and took care of me and my friends well. The Etpison family in Palau never seizes to amaze!!Written June 11, 2021
- tusharchit0 contributionsProfessionally run dive shop with personal touch!Visited Palau for 3 days diving trip with my son. Right from first go, Kim helped plan the dives with clear messages and pricing. Discount for multi diving was offered without asking. Hotel pick-up was on time. Dive Instructor Aki san and his Boat Captain are very knowledge about the dive sites and what an experience they gave us for 3 days - several sharks, mantas, barracudas...Palau definitely exceeded our expectations. Aki san is a legend there! Will definitely return.Written February 3, 2020
- nicolasd2950 contributionsDiving at NecoWe are both certified and went diving 4 days with Neco. The communication with the team before we arrived was great and clear which made us decide for this club! On site, Kim, was very helpful and organised the trips and diving locations to fit our wishes and so that we can do all the spots we wanted to do! The boat is very confortable and the material that we rent of good quality! Staff was very very friendly and even took pictures of us during the dives and sent it to us by e-mail or on a CD (for free)! Special thanks to Miwa!!! Regarding diving Palau, this is just unbelievable! The best dives in our life and we have dived quite a lot (egypt, malta, Cyprus, italy, hawai, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Cuba, Australia, Fiji, Vietnam, Thailand, Cuba, Mexico and so on...)! We have done Blue corner, blue hole, new drop off, german Channel, Ulong Channel and other spots and the highlights were turtles, Mantas and especially lots of sharks (greyshark, white and black tipped) Many thanks to all Neco! Special thanks to Kim!Written January 5, 2020

Took my wife, 4 year old daughter and 6 month old daughter on the Milky Way, Jelly Fish Lake, and Rock Island tour with a BONUS stop at Cemetary Reef. The BEST experience and the BEST crew. Captain Uno, our guide Miwah, and First Mate Neodeh, were genuinely friendly and very very helpful with my 6 month old. The service was above and beyond expectation.
Thank you for such an excellent experience!

They took our group to some of the best snorkeling areas around the Rock Islands where we got some really good pictures. We had been diving so, we already had permits for Rock Island and had our Jellyfish lake permit before we left the liveaboard.
Keep in mind that to get to Jellyfish lake you have to go up and down stone steps on a hill and that the jellyfish are not as prolific as what are in the picture since the drought a few years ago. They are still easy to find they just aren't surrounding you like the picture shows. The staff are professional and know what they are doing.

I have waited many years to come to Palau to go to Jellyfish Lake and I clearly chose the right company to do it with. Everyone from the pick up from my hotel to the return to my hotel was exceptionally and genuinely kind. I am not the greatest swimmer, and the crew made sure I was safe and I never felt unsafe for a single moment. It was a magical day and a dream come true. I truly thank them for all they did and now need to learn to dive and go back!

We had a wonderful experience with Neco marine and the tour they provided. They were in contact with us before the trip, so we knew what to expect the day of the tour. The gear they provided was clean and well maintained. The day of the trip, our tour guide Giovanni provided a wonderful experience with snorkeling and finding the magnificent marine life Palau has to offer. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see what Palau is famous for without any stress.

I had the best time snorkelling with my instructors Ben, Kayo and Joel as well as my full-day land tour with one of the most knowledgable guide about Palauan history: Stein. I highly recommend doing the jellyfish + snorkel (clamp + Japanese sunken ship) tour as well as the land-tour that brings you back to the real traditions first hand with a 70 year old guide from this beautiful tiny nations

Hi Raxet, and thanks a lot!
It was a pleasure having you here, and we hope you'll be back for some (rebooted) jellyfish action.
In the meantime, we're looking forward to hearing your findings on the Stone Monoliths mystery ^^
Take care and safe travels!

When on Palau, one simply must take this tour! The walks are somehow strenuous in the muggy and humid air but worthwhile!!!!
The jellyfish are healthy and back again - they are amazibg creatures! Neither are they unpleasant nor are they slimy, disgusting creatures. Swimming/ Snorkelling among tens of thousands of these animals (that do NOT sting at all) is a rare experience! Do it!!!

Hello, I love to take photographs of jellyfish. Has the jellyfish population recovering? Is October and November a good time to visit?
Written July 26, 2019
The Jellies are back! Both October and November are great times to visit just before the peak season.

Palau is one of the top five dive spots in the world. It is a "must" for any serious diver. I was recommended to go there in December and January, this is what I did half a year ago. ALL dives were unique experiences!!!! Do go to Palau in any case - you'll be rewarded by unforgettable sights of impressive creatures. Have fun and enjoy yourself thoroughly!
